@thornhead1994- There's an interview with John Hall from Rickenbacker and he stated that Townshend didn't break as many Rose Morris Rickenbackers as people thought he did. Hall said something that Townshend had a few that were put back together after gigs and it was basically just a trademark of his to smash the Ricks. Here, Pete smashes it into the amp and it apparently whacked out the tuning of the 12 string.

Jesus Christ, Keith was only 18 here. He probably didn't realize that he'd changed drumming forever. Playing more than just the beat, going above and beyond, yet still in control.

For those wondering why Keith has a hi-hat, in the early days, up until 66, Keith used a single bass setup, and used a hi-hat with the setup. When he got the double bass set, he completely dumped his hi-hats in the live show until about 74, when he got the double tom row set. Peace.

Roger and Keith fought to no end it got so bad Roger was kicked out for three months. That however is what gave them that dangerous angry edge to there music Keith hates when people touch his kit. Actually, Pete and Roger looked quite trim and fit--and RAWKED the last two times I saw them, plus, just the other night on VH1 honors the Who--still can outdo ANYONE on any given night. See the Concert for NYC clips for arresting modern performances (2002).
