  • @MegaMan6297 no it's not. If I was on pc I would send u a link to the video.

  • I liked it better when it was a bean.

  • Didn't know I wasn't suppose to eat them.

  • I once had 100 But They formed a Bow and Arrow... And I took an Arrow To The Knee

  • @juan94565 In the knee* You dumbfuck, IN THE KNEE!!!

  • I use to have 29 of these, untill they shot me with an arrow to the knee.

  • @DavidAlvarezMusic IN THE FUCKIN KNEE! NOT TO IT!

  • why did you leave the moth in there

  • how long did it take for urs to hatch?! I just got some and im curious =)

  • KILL IT WITH FIRE

  • LOL!

  • What are jumping beans????

  • @samlovsanimals They're actually seed pods in which a certain type of moth has laid an egg. That's the reason the "beans" jump around. They larvae are stirring. Cool, right?!!? :D

btw... can't tell if trolling, or just stupid...

  • booooooorrrrrrrrriiiiinnnnng

  • A mother is you.

  • That's true.. I had one has a kid. I remember it sat in my closet all summer and then near fall I rem seeing a dead bug next to a holed out bean.. go figure.

  • Let it free to seed another seed

  • well lol what to do with it?

  • is that what rely comes out of it eiewwww

  • the bug is a moth

  • Cool ! I had magic beans like these when i was a kid.. Kept them in a box.. Then i forgot about them - and when i remembered to check there was that flying thing - i was so freaked out and amazed.. Dunno what happened to it tho xD

  • @nightcrawler504 he likes to pump your mouth

  • dios mio!!

  • "Finally im ready to venture out of this bean I have been trapped in!!!, GOD DAMMIT A SEE THROUGH BOX I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!"

  • this is what happens if you crack a mighty bean

  • How did you get it to hatch? What kind of conditions do you keep it in?

  • @fangandfury89 dark and hot i guess..its like having a pet rock ..until it hatches

  • LOL, i was listening to this video with my headphones and when i heard the scattery sound i jumped and threw the headphones to the floor xD

  • I swear I just shuddered.

  • You'd have to ask immigrations about that..

  • @radakat and your gonna have to get the americans off there ass and doing work SON!

  • are they even mexican?

  • Jesus, let it out!

  • Someone told me that catepillar larva live in there

  • . . . O_o Insects... Wait, What???

  • @Dince19961996 Moths lay their eggs in the beans, the caterpillars movement makes it "jump"

  • Where can u get theese? I live in Arizona and just want to know the closes place to get them

  • these make me itch

  • lol

  • ooh mama sexy

  • Will someone tell me if its safe to eat these? An how do those eggs get in the beans, does that mean there bad?

  • @redneon06 u cant eat them because there are worms in there that can carry worm diseases. but you can always play with them and force them to race each other!

  • wat was the noise at 0:13-0:14?

  • its the video camera

  • some one farted lol jk i think it was the camera but idk

  • i have jumping beans but when i looked online i got freaked out to find out what was inside so later i gave it to my friend and it hached O_O

  • no actually theres an egg inside of the bean and when it hatches it eats the inside of the bean and when they eat it jumps. and when they ate enough to come out they turn into a tiny moth :D

  • they dont jump when they eat, they jump to find shade cos it gets too hot in the shell, and for safety, if you kept the bean in a nice place till it was big enough (it being the larvae) it wouldnt have to jump ever :)

  • You can get mexican jumping beans on ebay!!! Only buy them from shgaamtoys! Shgaamtoys has the best beans at really low prices. They even have mexican jumping beans in different colors! They are really cool!!!!!

  • this is my moral fear i h8 them they freak me out

  • ITS ALIVE!!! Happy birthday little moth guy!

  • How long do they stay as "beans"?

  • Yes, aka they want out.

  • No othey don't want out, lol.

If you break open the bean, the little worm inside of it will actually spit out silk to mend itself back in.

They just don't like being hot.

  • also known as they want out?

    lol wut english skills?

  • I had one in grade 2 and kept in my bag during summer , and the next year I found the bug . ROFL

scariest moment of my life .

  • LMAO

    Was it alive???

  • Yes . D:

  • @RhianaM hahahahaha

  • :) cool I love jumping beans but mine never hatched

  • that's because you have to water them for about 2-3 hours every month or so in order for them to prevent dehydration. Though, I didn't know this as a kid, so mines probably died. :(

thanks for the video, btw. As a kid, I loved moths (and most bugs) so I probably would have been delighted to discover it was a baby moth egg in there.. ^_^

    shame.

    5**** (stars) though.

  • @YourDarkAccomplice

How would you recommend getting them to hatch? Right now, I keep mine in the fridge (butter box) and take them out every other day to water them (15min) with dechlorinated water.

  • @fangandfury89 The larva may live for years inside the bean with varying periods of dormancy. If the larva has adequate conditions such as moisture, it will live long enough to go into a pupal stage. Normally in the spring, the moth will force its way out of the bean through a round "trap door", leaving behind the pupal casing. The small, silver and gray-colored moth will live for only a few days as for recommendation, I'm not too sure. You seem to be doing it right. I suggest online research.=)

  • @YourDarkAccomplice My jumping beans are still a brown color: When I take them out (the bean in about 3 are completely cracked open, when left out for about 15min the bean closes... Why is this? Is it normal? My online research has only told me to keep them in the fridge, take them out every 2-3 days and water them with dechlorinated water for 15min.

  • y rnt the other beans jumpin

haha sounded like a stupid questions

  • OMG its a bug egg??? i thought it was just a bean!!! omg now i dont want one!

  • Its a type of larvae that turns into a moth.

They twitch when they want out. (hence the jumping)

So yes, it technically is a bug I guess...

  • mexican beans.....are moth eggs???

  • They're beans with a moth larva planted inside, which they live in for their larval stage of life.

  • i thought that they have to become worms or something first..not like a fully grown moth..

  • What's the bug called?

  • its actualy called a jumping bean moth.

  • all I c is the stupid bug in the box

  • well that "stupid" bug is inside the bean (first its a larva

  • no it grows to that...it happened to mine!

    (larvae undergo metamorphosis too)

  • Ever heard of metamorphosis? Go back to 2nd grade.

  • do you know when they hatch? what happens when they hatch?

  • lmao... thats curel. keeping it in that tiny box?

  • yea it dies in 3 days and lays more eggs(:

  • Woah, never knew that

  • It would be more interesting and nicer to see the insect allowed to fly free........ I can only imagine and hope that is what happened.

I think it suffered WAY TOO LONG trying to get free...........much better to watch it released to its entitled freedom.

  • Lol I dare you to touch one...hehehe...

  • The trick is to soak them in water usually bottled as chrolene will kil them every other week for 4-5 hours to keep them moist or they will die. The greener the bean the healthier the larvae.

  • that happend to me when i was a kind n had em

  • This thing happened to mine but I was holding it when it happened

  • same shit happened to mine

  • YUUUUUCCCKKKK,

  • lol ew they r sooo grosss.. i want 1!! lawl

  • imagine you were eating what you thought were normal beans when suddenly something wriggles in your mouth.

  • o gros! LOL

  • I can't. bahh.

  • most of the time the bug dies, or in the case of Declethor's theory, the mexican says "Screw it, this is better than Mexico."

  • My Uncle Randy jerked off to this video twice

  • at least I'm not the only one lol

  • wtf?

  • @brawnthehulk wtf

  • omg i had those all the time but my mom got rid of them before that all happened now i'm glad she did! lol

  • O_O now i know why my parents wouldn't buy me jumping beans.....

  • this sum freaky shit eh...

  • I always thought there were baby Mexicans in there....lol. I'm sorry I had to say it it's funny.

  • BUUUUUUURRRRRNNNN!!!! - Btw I'm mexican =O not funny well a little LOL!

  • do u eat these things?

  • lol

  • weird.

  • *spits out the jumping beans in his mouth*

  • oh man, i thought we eat those...

  • oooooo impressive.....

  • JUMPING BEANS WHOOHOO!!!

  • JUMPING BEANS WHOOOO!!!! :)

  • Arriba andale!!! True gangsta from birth hah.

  • arriba andale, true gansta from birth hah.

  • I imported some of these to the uk and they hatched as well! :)

  • woah ☺

  • they are found in mexico

  • did u ever let him out? and where can u buy these?

  • Does he have a big wang?

  • The larvae create a network of silk fibers inside the bean. when the larvae become too warm, they twitch, causing the bean to "jump"

  • so u meen that the reason why the mexican beans jump is that there r insects in them....?? o______0

  • Yup

  • you should edit your description. it's not because they're trying to get out that they jump.

  • there are caterpillars in them that eat the bean.

  • The Cydia deshaisiana moth. It lays its eggs in a small hole in the seed of a plant. Over weeks to months the larvae will eat the inside of the seed and eventually, when mature, will escape.... the jumping is caused by the larvae becoming active when the seed is warm. Of course like all living things, get them too hot or too cold, and you'll kill em.

  • yes.

  • Wtf... I had those as a young kid and after about a week they would stop jumping and I would inspect them to find a hole in every bean.. The weird thing was that they were in a container like that and there was no bugs or dead creatures in there... How would they excape? Or where do they go?

  • there's bug's in them..? i had no clue...no wonder they jump howl ong does it take for them to hatch..?

  • It could take several weeks, but for sure closer to months, depending on the insect

  • hahah thats nasty about the person who ate jumping beans :)

  • OMg i atemexican beans,n i didnt evan know they had bugs in em!!!!!!!!!!!!: O

  • the snapple cap i just got said that mexican jumping beans jump to get out of sunlight (fact #360).

  • i recently read that most of those facts weren't correct.. but who knows your might be..

  • COOL!
