I just did the math, it was 31 years after it had been hit by a tornado! I just learned that the town where I grew up is no longer there. Does anyone know what the town is like in 2012?
This is 2012. After so many years, I have just learned that the town which I told my wife I always want to go back to visit, had been destroyed by a tornado. What a sad time. I wonder about the Kringles, my sponsors. Does anybody know?
I live in Cardington even though I was not born yet. Oh how I wish it was still like that.....we have nothing here :( . I believe it was still like this I wouldn't be in such a hurry to leave.
Difficult to say you like something when there is so much sadness involved. But for your film I would never have known about this trajic event. Thank you for informing me. RIP
I was on Route 23 traveling from Columbus to Toledo in my Volkswagen. I must have been approaching due west of Cardington at the time the tornado was entering town. I wondered why it was so windy and the rain was going sideways across the highway. Once I reached Toledo, I heard on the news that your town had been hit by a tornado about an hour before I reached Toledo. I then realized that I was closer to that storm than I realized. I've flown over Cardington since then and see the changes.
My wife is a 3rd grade teacher at Cardington and in the fall she teaches the kids about community. Is it possible to get a copy of this video for her to share with her class?
