Aquaine - I don't agree with you because the amount of earth's crust on the Pangea side is no different really than on the opposite side. The parts above sea level don't weigh that much in comparison to the other side. It is an optical illusion.
Ok. First of all - not all geologists. There is lot of them wich understands that Growing Earth THeory is way more accurate. Second thing, if Pangea ever existed - the gravity center point would have to shift, so the oceans pulled by shifted Pangea gravity center would move towards the supercontinent - leaving opposite side of the planet dry - same as moon makes tides at this very moment. Non of this ever happened. This is simply not true.

The process of planet and moon expansion has nothing to do with losing density due to cooling of the surface. The planets and moons are gaining mass.
As You said mass equals energy therefore they are gaining mass from transforming unknown type of energy in the planet core. This process is most likely connected to universe expansion, as the rate of expansion accelerates in both cases.
That is why most of the Earth expansion happened in the last 250 milion years. SInce the beginning of the mesosoic expansion rate significantly increased. Since the process is related to mass accreation in the core, the gravity on the surface of our planet increased as well.
That is also the answer to why such giant creatures as dinosaur could ever existed. Current gravity would not allow such immense sized organisms using the same bone structure or circulatory systems as currently are using animals.
And as I said, there are many proofs, that this theory is true. The roots of the continental plates goes for over 300 km. There is no space left for convection that is supposed to be responsible for drift of the continents. America is moving from Africa and northern Asia so Atlantic grows bigger. Africa is beeing stretched and is moving away from Asia, Australia and Antarctica so the Indian Ocean grows bigger as well. Unfortunately Pacific does not shrink.

It's pan-GEE-uh, not panga-EE-uh.
The "g" is soft, just like the "g" in geography, because the word comes from the same Greek root.
Regardless of how the ancient Greeks pronounced it, we pronounce words with that root by using the soft "g"... geographic, geodesic, geology, etc.
