  • Firstly I just want to say what a great channel you've got jeff, and I love your videos, really been able to help mix up my own workouts, Im 16 and Ive been using the gym close to a year now (both cardio and weights) and Ive noticed I have a 4 pack but for some reason I cant seem to get the lower 2.

    any advice?

  • hey jeff i've done abs blitz part 1 it was very nice, but when i clicked on abs blitz part 2 it contains or requires equipment i dont have like the medicine ball and tubing or exercise band, are there any thing else i can do to get the same result? thanks

  • jeff you said that i dont need cardio i know this is true i can partally see my abs but i would like to define them more will cardio make this happen faster for my diet i eat six meals with little or no amounts of fat and sugar and twenty six grams of protien per meal each meal being about 260 calories

  • Great exercises Jeff, been following AthleanX on Youtube for the past 3 weeks and am for sure ready to go the next step and get the program.

    With all that said, i found week two of this easier than week 1. But I know its from my new found strength thanks to your program!

    You say Abs can be worked everyday i read somewhere that the Abs are the same muscle tissue as your beicep, tricep, pectorals etc..it carried on to say you wouldn't workout those muscles out everyday so why should you do the same to your Abs

    As you're a very qualified trainer could you tell me if this is true? can i workout my Abs 5days a week?

  • hey Jeff. I'm 15 years old, and I'm a very active athlete, who plays in elite leagues with bigger guys. i have been working out for about 1 year now, and with great results. But for the past 3-4 months i have been trying to get abs, with little success( have outlines) I have tried everything from working out abs 3 times a week to working out abs 7 times a week. I have even tried p90x with little results.

    so I'm wondering what do i need to, to get those hard rocking abs. I'm 5'11, and 145 pounds.

  • @preston5192 I wouldn't think so because Jeff said it's not about cardio (moving your body) so basically all you need to do is like Jeff said... Good diet (which from what I here you are doing good at. ;D ) and strength training. Hope this helped. :)

  • must say, I would love to have toned abs. not sure if I can do it in such a short mount of time, as I have a lot of bad habits to break but I think that doing more core exercises is going to help kick start a weight loss plan and help me feel better about my body sooner. thats the idea anyway...:)

  • hey jeff, first i just want to sat great videos u got here, they are really motivating. but i wonder, does ab workouts burn away the fat on the belly? i do not have that much fat on my belly but enough to hide my lower abs, i am 17 yers old and i want to be able to wear shirts without being afraid that people are going to see the little fat bump on my belly, sorry if i have written something wrong:P

  • Hey Jeff, I'm 17 years old and I have a few questions. I am by no means fat right now, but whenever I pinch my skin and pull it, I can see my abs, which I guess means I have to tighten up some, which I'm wondering how to do. I also have a relatively strong core. I was also an overweight kid, so I fear I may have a little left over, but I'm still not sure. Also, what supplements are safe and effective for someone my age.

  • @kayman369m Hey Kayman....have you checked out my AthLEAN-X program yet? It will lay out a supplement and workout plan (not to mention the step by step meal plans) that makes it easy for you to follow.

  • Hi jeff. I like this week. I just started it today. the reverse crunch is easy, 1 down 2 up in kinda hard, med ball balance crunch is moderat(i dont have a med ball so i used a 10lb dumbell), command crunch is hard, i have a feeling im doing it wrong, stading tubing over twist i done have a stretch tube for this excercise. what should i use for the last abs excercise?

  • For commando crunch i challenge myself by spreading my hands like a frog/duck or i do knuckles. a lot more challenging. others, try it

  • hmm well what can we do if we dont have a real job of any sort and no income and we dont have a peice of tubing? cuz im really poor lol im lucky to have internet :D and i dont have any medicine balls got any ideas on what i can use otherwise?

  • Hi Jeff. Do I do these excercises every day? When I watched part one, I thought I only did them on wednesdays and saturdays. Nevertheles, great excercises, I'm stunned by the variety. I don't know if its possible, but to me at least it looks like my abs have grown just from the first week!

  • @TenguMT Try to do these 3-5 times a week and then switch to next weeks routine after you've done them for a week. Good luck! Make Team AthLEAN proud!

  • @JDCav24 hey jeff, so does it mean that at the first week i only do abs exercise and then other exercises (arms, shoulder, etc) next week? so, in 1 month i do 2 weeks for abs and the rest 2 weeks for other routines? please reply, thanks jeff, appreciate ur great videos

  • Can anyone name an alternative to the cable over twist? I dont have cabling, or the money for one (im a poor student at the moment!) nor do i have anything at that level to tie a cord to.

  • Jeff, you are really changing people's lives. You changed my life! Despite me reaching week 2, slowly and maturely ladies been touching my body, which never happened. also for med ball balanace crunch, im gna intentionally drop the ball, so i can do more reps lol

  • this system is better for males cuz u know females hav that problem that we dont have to deal with... but luckily she told me she doesnt want to get ripped, she just wants to get toned

  • im on week 2. already outstanding results! for ppl who rly wants to boost ur fat burning, DRINK A LOT OF WATER and MILK, just like Jeff said. I drink bout a gallon of water a day. i feel extremely different in a good way. also, creatine and whey blend w/ casein helps. i love jeff cuz wen i told my sister that no cardio, she was like i love athleanx!

  • @elidan66 The med ball can be anywhere from 4-8lbs. Instead of the rubber band you can use some tubing with handles that you can find at any local sporting goods store.

  • Jeff, although, u said try or dont do cardio, i do 2 mins of jumprope and 8 mins of heavy bag, just to warm my body up. that k? give me ur opinion on ti ASAP. much appreciated!

  • @crazykorean2268 That isn't the typical steady state boring cardio that I was referring to when I say...don't do cardio. So yes....what you're suggesting is great! keep it up!

  • @JDCav24 Just want to say, I'm seeing results already. its only week 2. but i do these 5 exercises at least 2-3- times day. i did 5 times a day, and that was way too much. another question. i eat black bean and banana mixed drink, i eat a lot of fish, tofu, oatmeal, skim milk. u have any more ways for me to improve even more? give me ur opinion on it ASAP greatly appreciated!

  • Jeff i dont have medicine ball for the crunches with med ball so i just put 10 pound dumbell between my legs works the same right ?

  • @GuitarDreams1 careful when extending the legs with a dumbell near the ankles, i did that years ago and got a hernia so careful with the amount of weight and intensity.

  • jeff, this stuff is great. totally agree about not needing cardio....four years of highschool track didn't give me a six pack...didn't get one until I started legitimately weight training. I wanted to know if you've ever seen/read anything by mike geary? one of his main points is that the way to strip fat is by doing high intensity anaerobic exercises (sprints, suicidies, speed ladders, etc), as well as the full body stuff you recommend. what's your opinion on that?

    First of all I would like to tell that Week 2 is a lovely routine, I really like the commando crunches since they're really though! Second was my question, I don't have any materials to improvise on the over twist. Now I took an excerise from week 3 but I don't think it works the same muscles. Any suggestions for me ?

  • Hey, I gotta question, after I finish doing the exercises each night my abs are totally wiped. And I can barely even do a situp. They feel numb, just like my other muscles after I work them really hard. But they aren't sore the next morning.

    The very first and second day I did this they were sore the next morning. But not anymore and I'm doing the exercises right because my abs REALLY burn after. Is it okay that they are not sore the following morning? Will I still see results?

  • @coalblackdragon Thats probobly because ur body got kinda use to them , but when its new excersice ur body has not adapt to them so there harder.

  • ye i seen results.. but i do much exursice.. like jogging and other stuff .. burning fat so they can appear , just train hard and you'll get 6 pack

  • Aim for a solid 3 times a week. As you progress through the weeks you can increase the frequency to up to 5 times.

Or could I make that a fast slow run fro 10 ks instead? Im training for the army. I have to be able to run fairly far still...most importantly, fast.   • That's ok man...no problem. I'm Italiano too :) In the second week here of the show, you can be doing this workout 3-4 times a week. As you progress and get stronger, and move through the 12 week program, you will end up training your abs 6-7 days a week! Best of luck.....Ciao
