Considering the things that have happened since we actually did hit 2001, I wonder if she's had second thoughts...
Anyway, proof that it doesn't have to be old to be classic, and this is indeed classic rock - tight percussion, driving guitar, great bass line... it just doesn't get much better!
I'm so glad I still have this cd album !
Love the beats, the lyrics and her voice.

the intro narrator does seem
to have an aussie accent,
[or maybe NZ?, as he doesn't say any 'i's].
incredibly fresh sound in 2008.

Hard to believe this was released in 1993 - 15 years ago now. Wow, how time flies. Still a great song though and still sounds fresh.

m.e. doesn't seem the sort of woman
to have too many second thoughts.
relationship breakups,
cancer,
even the kick in the guts she got with the passing of Prop 8,
have not deterred her spirit.
she's a great example of a woman
who when she gets knocked down,
she'll dust herself off
and get right up again.
