  • Mystery track. Where does it really come from? Relics '71, but recorded 1969? Good and violent roadhouse outro.

  • @Noodles37UK mmmnnn this is from an 1970 album unreleased called "Stop" (i think is oging to be released in 2011).

  • Awesome song, then again it's my favorite band to listen to. I've seen Waters twice, hopefully I'll see Gilmour one day!

  • nick mason on the drums fucking total xtc pure banging bongos he is the man on this so is gilmores solo matched with masons outstanding effort

  • nick mason on the drums fucking total xtc

  • @TheMrt39 Agreed.

  • auuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • My jaw seriously fell open while hearing this!

    This song is amazing!!

Why do I not hear this being played on the radio like..... every day???

  • @GCMPJLRMYLIFE The radio stations won't play this one as Pink Floyd have been pigeon-holed as a 'progressive' band with deep and meaningful concept albums, but this great rockin' blues blow out doesn't fit that image, it shows Floyd having fun, so this and all the brilliant little songs Floyd wrote get overlooked.

  • @GCMPJLRMYLIFE

Biding my time is just freakin awesome!!!!

It's about 500 years old at this point... It will never get air time.

However, I heard "San Tropez" at Shop Rite last year, another great tune!

I was boopin along to it in the can isle with some old ladies.

Floyd has so many priceless gems...

  • @alexbald12 ya they did very few jazz tunes "san tropez" and "biding my time" but theyre really fucking great

  • momentary lapse and division bell both put the final cut to shame.

  • that's because you have horrible taste in music, and are unable to recognize the beauty in poetry.

  • pink floyd and cannabis..... its good!

  • Who wrote this...Roger or RICK?

  • @DavelovesRealMusic an absolute favurite of mine (one we floyd fans should keep quiet about while everyone else bleats about 'the dark side' and 'the wall').

on par with 'obscured by clouds' and 'more'.

  • @deano1161 Yes its a very unique song...A lot of the forgotten tracks are wonderful..such as Cirrus Minor . Really there arent too many Floyd Albums I dont appreciate...except maybe MOmentary lapse (it still had some good MUSIC on it despite the lyrics sub par (pun) without Waters. Bur who wrote Biding? Roger?

  • @DavelovesRealMusic momentary lapse was probably a bit dodgy but learning to fly and sorrow are amazing songs.

pretty sure roger wrote biding my time.

  • sorry, both the songs you mention are absolute crap. The only song worth a cent on that whole album is the title track. BTW, I saw it live at Seattle Kingdome. Wish I'd seen Roger with KAOS in Tacoma, and that's saying alot about how bad the show in Seattle was.

  • @brautigan1 are you trying to say 'one slip' is better than 'learning to fly'??

'one slip' is probably THE worst pink floyd song ever recorded!

  • says you. Anyway, it's a tough call to say what's the worst song on a horrible album filled with garbage.

  • @deano1161 there is no such thing as a bad pink floyd sung.

  • @stvchelgren1 i didnt say it was a bad song just there worst! :-)

  • @deano1161 I absolutely love the material that was post Syd and pre DSOM.

  • @FatmanCaufield that material is solid gold! meddle, obscured by clouds, atom heart mother etc

  • @deano1161 I gotta say WYWH is my favorite, but this period-no one was in charge, they had to stick together as a band to figure it all out, and there's some incredible stuff in there.

  • My favorite Floyd album C :

  • Cid Barrett before roger waters this is a great song, but alot like the 70s music beattles one of them Roger Waters made Pink floyd whe they arebig difference between the two both great

  • @joey2681 syd barrett never even got a look in with with this song, he was long gone by this time

  • Not herad that before. Cool! Just goes to show how bluesy Gimore was

  • Relics is fantastic *-*

i love pink floyd with syd barret, i think that's the best years of the band

  • proof that good things came out of 1971

  • I would LOVE to find a fine woman who could dance to this song, she would not even need a pole, just straight up Burlesque!!!

  • flies obliviously into rock city solo.

  • Thanks for posting this.. i love this song a pinkfloyd gem that most people dont even know exsists....

  • That's Rick Wright on trombone!

  • I love the jazzy sound of this song...and then it breaks up into that awesome guitar solo! not a typical song, but still a great one!

  • This is definitely not a typical FLoyd-like song

  • Wish there was a live version of this song from a show.

  • there are.. A LOT!

One of them is on "the man and the journey" bootleg. it's easy to find.. but it is named different on there though.. can't be arsed to check the name

  • Cool song. Love the guitar solo. The Nile Song is another great track from Relics!!

  • the audio is choppy

  • Amazing song.

  • I'll see you all at the dark side of the moon!

  • i love this. the solo sends lightnin down ma spine. can anyone decently tab this? thats a challenge.

  • love it. pink floyds greatest will never get radio play. unfortunately. i wonder if anyone can do the solo justice. maybe a tab or cover? eheh?

  • A nice soothing song. Relics has a lot of the forgotten treasures.

    I consider Paintbox another gem.

  • only the Kinks and mccartney could write songs in this style

  • Ha ! when i first this on Relics , I though , wow ! PF goes into Cabaret / Blues ?

  • I always loved this tune (since 1973) and wished they'd make more like it. But this was one of a kind.

  • I always think that this would make quality stripping music, an overlooked Floyd gem, Rick on trombone & David wailing away for the last 3 mins whilst Rog & Nick keep a steady groove going.

  • el mejor solo de gilmour sin duda

  • Reminds me of Tacos.

  • If music were sex, this is an orgasm.

  • class song. I always loved Dark side of the moon and wish you were here, but I'm now realising that the early stuff's better!

  • you just need to realize that they are the best

  • i was just about to give a thumbs up when i realized this was my comment

  • bide your time all ~ remember, in the end it's all for Love and Peace

  • ha, well put!

  • Is that the original sleeve @1:37? I was always surprised that the CD cover looks the way it does. It just doesn't look very sixties. The excessive dark colours and sleek graphic sheen just seems more nineties to me.

  • yeah thats the original. then for the cd release they colored it in and made it 3d and such. i think richard wright drew it if i remember correctly.

  • Why do record companies fuck with that shit??!!! It ain't right!

    (Actually, it's Wright XD)

  • The drawing was not by Rick Wright, but by Nick Mason. He also did some of the graphics for the 'Animals' sleeve.

  • Not the original sleeve. The original had a mask.

  • METRONOME??? HAVE A WORD

  • One of the best jams I've ever heard. I love this song.

  • Nicks drumming actually more out of the hole in this song. He normally acts as a metronome for Floyd, but he goes nuts in this song....

  • A metronome ? Echoes says go to hell to you =D

  • LOL, Nick says he doubt with years and years of bad drummer jokes and siad he brings hope to all bad drummers outthere. That was his speech when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The man backed up the greatest band of all time, and did a great job keeping beat. I just wish he did a few more fills here and there to keep the music more alive. I also love his playing on "Echoes" and "Dogs"...

  • I see... but with echoes or the nile song show his evolution =)

  • Blues Forever!

  • I'd rather call it jazzy than bluesy...

  • "more of a blues-jazz festival" spinal tap ;-)

  • Amen to that! ;-)

  • That solo is awesome.

    No doubt.

  • This song is amazing on vinyl.

  • you dont have to be an old fart to listen to vinyl. and anyway, this song is from the time where everything was released on vinyl, so if u think this song is amazing, why are u so against vinyl?

  • i was just fucking around. i was saying who cares how you listen to it, its a dope song. whether it be on vinyl or on salmon. or on remmmmmble stentcil

  • ok thats cool man, no worries

  • hahaha thanks your conversation seriously made me laugh :D:D

  • i think that's the point, cd's and youtube just dont sound the same as the old vinyl records

  • great great song! chingonsisima!!! at the end of the song i would like to see a girl dancing the pole. en la parte final de la cancion se antoja ver a una chica buenisima bailando en el tubo...tubo! tubo!...

  • This kinda' music isn't usually my cup of tea, but I actually like this song.

  • Pink Floyd wrote "If".

  • broken record

  • Nahaungh!!!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • Why do you say that on every Pink Foyd Video i seem watch?

  • To reminde people.

  • yes bbut everyone knows it after all who else would write such a great song

  • BrokenChair88 is writing himself into infamy.

    Enjoy the ride!

  • wow i just recently discovered this great track..man i wish this song got more publicity

  • Funfun.

  • Really great piano playing on this tune. Well done Rick. Well done Roger on writing such a great song.

  • Definatly one of Floyd's best songs. Bloody masterpeice!

  • Overlooked by many--and the solo? God, brilliant stuff!
