@tron81 I am willing to bet that Yabba Dabbo Doo will be gone before CPJ will. I hope not because I think Clemson is a sleeping giant and, despite this season, Yabba is not the person who can wake that giant up. So keep him around as long as you want. He is bound to lose you a game at some point, even if it is not this year.

@GraysonBuzz so you're saying Clemson will get rid of Dabo if he loses a game next year but doesn't lose any this season? He'll get several years of time if he just wins the ACC CG this year.

Based on what I've seen so far this season, I'd bet CPJ will get fired well before Dabo. It looks like he only won in 2009 because of the previous guy's recruits. Top players don't want to play in That 70's Offense, and he's a jerk that turns off many of them.

@tron81 Wishful thinking. CPJ is not going anywhere. No one is unhappy with him. Maybe Tevin is not the best QB for us but everyone is looking to see what Vad Lee can do if Tevin cannot fit the bill. Even if CPJ won in 09 bc of the previous recruits, he did more with those guys than Chan did and he can get more out of the players we are able to recruit than can just about any other coach out there. We will never recruit the kids that other schools can because of our academics.

@tron81 From what I can tell, Yabba is a goofball. Yes, Clemson is having a good year this year and probably will beat us Saturday. I am not saying otherwise. But I am still convinced that he was a bad hire and that will show it self in time. This year will be an aberration just like 2000 was for Bowden. Clemson can be a power - they have the resources but for some reason cannot seem to hire the right coach to do it. Good for us!

@GraysonBuzz many fans on the GT message boards are starting to lose faith in CPJ. They're sick of the offense, poor recruiting, and arrogant attitude. GT seems to be on a downward spiral, but we'll have to see how they do.

Dabo can recruit, motivate the team, and hire top assistants. That's all he needs to do to be one of the top teams in the ACC every year. This is his 3 full year. When will we know if it's a "bad hire?"

@tron81 If you read the Hive often, you will find that the naysayers come pouring out of the woodwork at the first raindrop. They are not indicative of the overall fanbase. They are malcontents that would complain if we lost the BCS title game to LSU by 1 point. Nothing is every good enough for them. As O'Leary said, they expect to be Harvard during the week and Alabama on Saturdays. So I do not give them much credence. CPJ is on very safe ground and two losses haven't changed that.

@tron81 Clemson has always recruited, kinda like UGAg with little to show for it. Why would Yabba be any different. At least Bowden didn't embarass you hootin & hollering on TV after a game like a WWE wrestler. That does not make him a bad coach but there have been times when he has seemed like a deer in headlights on the sideline. Like I said, he may not cost you this year (I hope he does Saturday! :) ) but he will. He is not top shelf material bc before 'all hired who had ever heard of him?

@GraysonBuzz it's a common misconception that Clemson has always recruited a ton of talent. We didn't start getting Top 15 type classes until Bowden insisted that Clemson build the WestZone facilities to help recruiting. I think that was around 2005 or so. After Dabo took over he turned up the recruiting to an even higher level getting a Top 10 class last time.

Nobody at Clemson has been embarrassed by anything Dabo has ever done. He's a great guy who gets his players excited to play.
