whoever design these stands are fucking dumb..........who neeeds these expensive shit.......do like me....grab a couple of brick, stack them up like like logo and you done, cost nuthin...and if the crowed hate your DJ skilss just grab one of the bricks and ditch it at the crowed ......they dont call me DJ Brick for nuffin..... hehehe :)

the crane IS height adjustable, as far as I could tell. (don't know if that has been stated already in previous posts, sorry). just flip the base to the rear and recline to your preference.

Does anyone know if the Crane stand base will slide under most DJ mixers? I have an Allen & Heath Xone:42 and got the Uberstand, and there isn't enough clearance under the mixer so the mixer is raised up and unstable. If the Crane stand base is thin enough to slide under my mixer, I would be willing to upgrade in a heartbeat.

@cuakomaone lol yea man equipment is really expensive, alot of it has to do with the brand I guess just for the sake of the brands rep or the name on the thing. Also, why does equipment have to have cons now a days? Companies who make this stuff should have put all the good ideas together in the products by now. now what I mean? There should be any disadvantages on basic accessories like this at least.

I just got the Uberstand and love it! It is so portable! Fits in my laptop bag no problem! Ideal for a mobile DJ! People complain about the zip tie, but it's not a big deal just make sure you attach it to the stand all the time so you don't lose it!

One should fully know his products. One very very very important fact about the Stanton Uber Stand. The Stanton Uber Stand requires a "tie wrap". Yes a "tie wrap" to secure it at the bottom hinge. The Stanton Uber Stand will tip backwards without it and your laptop will go crashing down down down to the ground. FYI, a "tie wrap" is a white nylon riot hand cuff. Reviewers of Youtube please be thorough about these products, the public depends on you.

That crane stand looks pretty sweet. I love the tilt adjustment and minimal form factor. Surprised that I've never heard of it before! Most search results bring up the Odyssey and Stanton stands. Thanks!

i really wish these werent so expensive, if i was selling one such as the crane id set my price tag around 30euros , ill probobly end up getting the crane but the prices arent right was such a small piece of metal.

Yup. Seen that happen at a show. Thankfully, I don't think much of importance broke on the laptop and the show went on once the cables were found and plugged back in. It sounds like there are supposed to be some sort of cables/straps that you attach at the front so that it can't do that, but I have yet to see anybody use that.

The Stanton Stand will fold back if you press on it. They do give you a re-used-able zip-tie so you can remove it when your done djin.

I have one, and never had a problem with it, Even on uneven surfaces.

I bought the uberstand as well and i definitely rate it. I've got both my zip ties holding the bottom bit in place and sit my mixer on top...You can sit it back just far enough so the feet of the stand only really have to be about an inch under the mixer and I've never felt like my laptop would fall back/off..even while bashing out cue points in serato.
