  • Attorneys Carl J. Mayer and Bruce I. Afran filed a complaint Friday in the Southern U.S. District Court in New York City on my behalf as a plaintiff [CHRISTOPHER HEDGES] against Barack Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta [Defendants] to challenge the legality of the Authorization for Use of Military Force as embedded in the latest version of the National Defense Authorization Act, signed by the president Dec. 31.

Search this: Why I'm Suing Barack Obama

  • government=govern your mind

  • The black & White band around their heads means that the police are at beast consciousness, they are what the PTB call their dogs, these people are lower than we the people, the police are asleep and oblivious to what the PTB think of them whilst laughing at their stupidy of wearing illuminati symbols on their uniforms, they are iliterate to a man and that is why they act like they do.

  • Dirty politicians, dirty judges and dirty cops. If peaceful protesting isn't allowed we need someone to protect them and fight back. Perhaps we should pull our troops out of the bullshit wars that NATO are starting and support the people and country they serve. Ill support the troops but I wont support the police and those who gave the order to dismiss the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms.

  • Shoot them motherfuckers..I hate violence in Toronto..leftist-fascist bums

  • @dorot222 Actually, Fascism is a term used describe extreme right wing nut jobs like you, but you wouldn't know that. Get an education you stupid dehumanized cunt.

  • Please someone let me know what I can do to peacfuly bring these tyrants to justice and restore our freedom in Canada!

  • @TruthSeeker905

You have too much freedom you moron..that is why you are quick to abuse it. You should be sent to some

mideast Muslim country for a couple of years. You will kiss the boots of Canadian police officers when you are back

  • @dorot222 I kiss no one boots and will die fighting for my freedom! Besides that you are irrelevant and I will no long acknowledge you.

  • @dorot222

Notice what some of those muslims have been doing to their police officers lately?

The locals burned 100+ police stations in Egypt. Burned the pigs alive inside their wagons too.

Perhaps the difference is what the local population is willing to tolerate from their "peace officers".

  • OMG these are the times I wished I was a cop

  • @TheDeviilsBrigade right on

  • @kristopheraugust as long as no innocent are harmed, everything is fine. materials worth nothing and belongs to no one.

  • What hasn't been mentioned in this video is that the pigs "at the top" are/were curious to see how enthusiastically police officers would bully and/or abuse their fellow citizens, in order to determine to what extent they can depend upon these people to goose-step all over their countrymen when the time comes when they might want to impose martial law. From what we've seen here, I'd say those fascists can well depend on our police forces to abuse us as required. Sad, very sad state of affairs.

  • this revolution must be one of peace, dont follow the beast, false flag operations all over the world

  • @lengotin peaceful revolutions always failed. false flag all over the world? do you know the freedom fighters from greece, france, spain or poland? do you?

  • @schmuddelfinger Then what do you prefer, terrorism?

  • @BoredomCorner the slaves of the system call it terrorism, we call it fighting for freedom.

  • @schmuddelfinger RISE UP! "What will you do without freedom? Will you fight? Fight and you may die; run, and you'll live, at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, how many of you would be willing to trade all the days, from that one to this, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they'll never take our freedom? ALBA GU BRA! (FREEDOM

  • @BowDown2ZionistPOWER braveheart.

  • @lengotin kook

  • I like this guy

  • NO POLICE? go figure...

    this was a set-up!!!

    just a test...just a test...just a test...

    Martial law looms large!!!

  • @casecar wow this is very cowardly they beat down on hippie but not real black block?

  • police are a government funded street gang that take people hostage and demand ransom.

  • The Black Bloc is the police!

  • PROTESTORS NEED TO START IDENTIFYNG THESE PEOPLE AND TAKE THEM OUT!

  • WAKE UP!! THE COPS WERE BREAKING WINDOWS AND SETTING COP CARS ON FIRE! THESE COPS ARE PLAIN CLTHED AND WEARING BLACK SWEETSHIRTS WITH HOODS AND USUALLY WEARING MASKS!

  • @manonfireb4u Too much wealth and freedom in north america makes it hotbed for kooks, cranks and other loons...You don't appreciate what you got..you should all be sent to the third world..over there you will be too busy with survival you won't have time to develop conspiracy theories...losers!

  • @dorot222 Who are you talking to? The Politicians?

  • They are called cops, and they do it to act like thugs and beat innocent protesters.

  • Break the cameras before you riot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then they can't see shit. Do you need me to lead this next time anyone?

  • This just to show you why many of us can't trust no government. Can't wait to vote off Harper and McGuinty and perhaps remind voters of their brutal actions towards it's own citizen's. Total security spending 929.986.110 million dollars spent from your tax dollars during the G-20 summit. Some of that cash is also missing according to this report. Who is the criminals now?

  • Comment removed

  • @Rancourt100 its too bad we have to endure him for another two years now or however long he's in office . At least until he chooses to make himself dictator which is what it looks like .

  • @Rancourt100 And my money's on harper . He proposed spending that much . Why else would it be ? So he could fill his pockets . But then again it might be one of his followers or it may not even have anything to do with him .

  • @Rancourt100 Do not vote and give any government legitamacy, they are all the same and controlled by the same pieces of crap criminal elites that are behind all the worlds problems today. Ignore them, turn your back upon them and create your own form of self governance, you don't need them, take responsiblity for yourself.

  • @catmar1944 You take responsibility for yourself, but voting out the scum responsible for this.

  • @BoredomCorner I don't think we need to vote them out because that is playing their game in which they have total control, it would be nice if we could vote them out, but that's not likely to happen so we can just turn our backs on them, ignore them, get together and help each other out as a community. They have divided us in every way possible, if we come together instead of allowing ourselves to be divided then we can overcome them peacefully instead of having to use violence.

  • Comment removed

  • harper works for the cfr and the u.n. look it up. We have no sovereignty unless we are willing to take it back. They all need to be hung. Understand we are a corporation. Not a country. We are under corporate rule because by way of the birth certificate and the sin number we signed on as employees

  • it's about creating fear so you won't stand up. In the end...they are afraid of you. The ones that organized this are afraid of a mass of individuals coming together. Even the police are afraid of you....Use it

  • I used to be a member of the Toronto Police and I am appalled and sickened at the Governement and Police response. I will do my part to vote Harper out of office.

  • set up!

  • Inside job.

  • all cops are bastard!

  • @aidiero , You got that right, mostly yes.

  • Anyone with a mind knows that the police allowed the vandals to operate freely and then used that as an excuse to attack peaceful people. I hope the Canadian people demand accountability and get rid of these politicians and police commanders who orchestrated this scam.

  • @klard , this is do-able, but people have to protest and stop paying there taxes and protest in very big numbers, and throw those sacks of Shit out of office.

  • @klard

    I hope so too!

  • @klard

What normal law-abiding individual set police cars ablaze?

Only dumb-ass liberal crackpot north-american teenagers who are looking for "some action" in all those leaders get togethers....Are these fuckers help the west combat radical islam? are they make us safer? fuck the liberal dumb teenagers...wasting Canadians tax money....motherfuckers

  • @dorot222 : I guess Canada is full idiots like you also, not just the USA. There is good evidence that these Black Flaggers work with the police to escalate these incidents. There have been other incidents where police informants work to escalate incidents to give police an excuse for violent action.

  • @klard

Buddy I checked your profile and there is even better evidence you are a conspiracy nutjob.

Better luck in the next life

  • @dorot222 Assholes who spew buzzwords like "communism", "terrorist" and now "conspiracy theorist" are the cancer of the human race. Instead of using actual intelligence you stupid cunts spew out any one of those words just to discredit anything and everything that makes logical sense. Keep living in your fantasy word you extremist piece of shit, its coming to an end real fast. Reality has a liberal bias.

  • I wonder how many of these moronic kids think 9/11 was an inside job....bahahah i will say at least 85%.....

  • Having been in the military, I can tell you that they often do what they want. McNeil ran the show, not the Feds. The RCMP is corrupt.

Was it the Federal government who implemented the Public Works protection act?

To suggest that the terrible things that happened at the G20 were by the "hidden hand of the Prime Minister" based completely on here-say without any credible evidence is a discredit to the RNN.

You have done great work on the G20 and other issues, but what is the RNN's agenda?

  • Are you guys starting to understand that the governments are staging events? Thanks Real News, thanks Paul Jay for covering this. Everybody should subscribe to them and help them out. They are reporting what the mainstream media refuses to say.

  • The police cars that were burned were deliberately placed there as lures after equipment such as radios and computers was removed. The purpose of allowing there cars to be destroyed was to create an atmosphere of violence and vandalism in an otherwise peaceful demonstration. The authorities needed scenes like these to justify the 1.2 Billion Dollar security budget for the summits

  • alex jones/ bill coooper the real news....

  • You are right. We need a public inquiry. Canadians are doing just that. This filibustering tactic is simply Harper/McGuinty/police defense for their corruption:

The Canadian G20 inquiry > Google "torontomobilize"

  • Are there any posts on youtube without the crazies posting their conspiracy theories? "The Real News" ROFL The twit giving "The Real News" does not understand that the black bloc attack one area to draw police in and proceed to attack their real target, the fence. Either he does not understand this or he lies and pretends not to know.

  • fuck harper the bastard who sold canada for privatisation

  • It's simple, they organize a group thereselves to provacate, you always get supporters and than the train is riding, so than they could arrest people. They are consious about the different kinds of media. REAL LIFE ACTING...people look to the screens, and the unconsious watchers(who buy all that G20-products) are looking to a real life soap, interactivated by the G20 and people surround the organisation. DON'T BUY PRODUCT FROM BIG ENTERPRICES, SPEND AS LESS in OILPRODUCTS. EAT FROM NEIHGBORHOOD

  • Who ran the training program? The G20 was the training program. That's why they did the corral at Queen and Spadina after the G20 was over. Not all the cops had had a turn.

  • EXCELLENT reporting again by Paul Jay.

  • obama gave him the foul mouth command, world order, canada sold out there own.

  • All you people who believe that black bloc are undercover cops and agent provocateurs are fucktards.

The establishment is spreading that shit through mainstream media because they want you to blame anarchists for police brutality against peaceful protesters instead of blaming the ones who kicked the shit out of them and the ones who ordered it: the pigs and the government.

Yeah, they infiltrated the black bloc. Duh. They do it to all activist organizations. Thats how big brother rolls, dummies.

  • The only thing that will stop the new world order is insurrection against them. To make them fight a war they didn't fully expect to have to fight. To surprise them with the intensity of the resistance.

  • Simple the 'black block' cause mayhem and the real peaceful citizens will then actually accept whatever measure the police do then take in the name of 'security'

  • The numbers seem to change on how many blackblocks there were; but regardless; when they were around; the police weren't. It was ALMOST like you could say "because the blackblock ARE the police, dummy".

I don't think you'd be too far off. If it is the police, or even if they purposely left them to create this chaos; need to sack every one of them; starting with Harper; a new name for Harper= H-Raper; Raping your Hopes for a sovereign, independent nation.

    Absolutely sickening!

  • I think the point is that the press was meant to report, specifically on the all out police abuse of authority, because the bigger agenda was a NLP propaganda campaign against the people watching at home. For them to witness the new business as usual under the NWO. No one will be saved from them, that is the message.

  • this is very very much MUST SEE TV..

  • I think what this G20 summit has done for Steven Harper and the Conservative party is ensured the fact that they will not be re-elected come next election. Who knows they may not even get a seat in house and cease to exist as a party.

The best way for all you protesters to be heard is to remember the G20 summit come election time and vote accordingly.

  • You want to experience "Real" Freedom and Democracy? Please come to Canada!

  • If I could get reports that in depth and uninhibited on all Canadian issues on a daily basis I'd gratefully donate more then five bucks :p

  • Public inquiries are a waste of money. Arrest those law enforcement officers who broke the law and put them in jail until they face a trial by jury.

  • A billion dollars ( one thousand million) and they have, "a lack of resources." They were worried about the black block tactic hooligans which usually number approximately 100 individuals at these protests. Lets see, that equals ten million per hooligan. Not quite cost effective is it?

  • Great report. I am sad to say that TRNN has asked all the right questions something the CBC is either too out of Touch or too involved in government to raise. Thank you Paul Jay and thank the The real news network team. One question, who is the best person to raise the issue of the public inquiry with ?

  • Conflict of Interest beyond Duty and Entitlement?

No problem beating the peace with a law that does not exist?

Perhaps, violating Rights may inflict fear of the Legal Rights to Protest?

Think for Yourself! You are the King of your body.

  • Great report

  • Wrong answer! The Commander of the Commander is Her Majesty.

  • @daos77

Why did that happen? We claimed Independence before WW one.

  • @trybal007 So you think! Don't believe everything that you hear and see. Her Majesty has a very large role in our World. Do your own research!

  • outstanding summary and commentary!

  • Great job Real News!

  • The police never stopped the Black Bloc people and left the cars there to be burned because that's the way they PLANNED it. It was all intentional.

  • the cars were abandoned for hours before they were set on fire.

  • A Billion dollars worth of police protection cant protect thier own car? The car was bait. This is what they wanted. I would imagine that there wasn't any politicians skimming any of that money? But the big question should be, why would the superheroes of the planet need protection from the people that they work for?????

  • Police get shit for not acting.. they also get shit when they act...

How about blaming all the assholes who like to destroy property.... How about everyone standing around letting those idiots destroy everything..

What would you do if i stood by and laugh as someone smashes your car or your house..

    BLAME THE ASSHOLES..

  • @sigmet61

The Police did NOTHING when people were smashing things, they walked away. If you watch THIS video you will see that. Then the next day, they cracked down on the peaceful protesters.

What we want is for them to catch the criminals, not walk away to allow a bigger scene to unfold. We want them to protect the peaceful protesters who came for real reasons, not for them to put those people in danger, and violate their rights.

A democracy isn't democracy if the people live in fear.

  • @sigmet61

    Ok, I blame you.

  • These very police forces failed to do their duty against a "criminal element" who did exactly what was expected. Instead they made a political decision to produce an event that would justify their later breach of our Canadian Charter of Right and Freedoms.

Their duty to police criminal behavior was neglected for obvious political gain, in their criminal use of force. A force in highly organized oppression of individuals, Canadians.

Ignorance is not acceptable from any Canadian on this issue.

  • Police posed as BLACK BLOC protesters. There is video to prove it. Look it up.

  • POLICE CARS STRIPED OUT AND PLANTED TO BE BURNT FOR THE DAYS NEWS

  • The people pay for police services to respect and protect the rights of the people and to prevent crime concomitant with the first duty. The reverse of this actually happened on the Toronto G20 weekend. Police did beat, hurt by other means, detain or arrested, imprisoned and abused innocent bystanders, mainstream media persons, and a range of residents going about their daily business while allowing criminals to conduct their criminal activities unhindered.

    chiefblair.resignnow.ca

  • Thank you!

  • wow. how do people still expect the state to be able to protect an entire country when millions of dollars worth of police force can't protect a couple of blocks. pathetic

  • Excellent report. No doubt there needs to be a full public enquiry. This kind of nonsense can't just go on with no accountability whatsover. It's absolutely outrageous.

  • Harper looks like a male inpersonater. I doubt his owners give him a very long leash at all. He operates using the mercenaries that were unfit to police our natives but fit to judge all others somehow and the fact that the Canadian people Need No Policing. If the government were not enforcing class opression with drug laws and also producing and providing the drugs they would have nothing to do with all the legacy police that corrupt this country.

  • :O !

  • Dang i didn't realise how many police were there until i saw the 4:00 mark.

  • And hypocrisy reigns. Go back to bed Canada, your GoDvernment is in control. Shop for victory all you soldier sniffing cop licking Fatherland loving sadists.

Maybe when Mother Earth gets tired of being raped to make a few rich pricks richer she'll shake us off like fleas with a big quake and some volcanoes. I hope the ivory tower falls on the bank and they have to close the market square and let the slaves run free.

It'll be messy for a while what with all the revenge but a better future.

  • @Slavestorms excellent send my friend. thanx

  • Canadian internet shows are as bad as Canadian tv shows. id rather watch the boring ass cbc. put some effort into it.

  • Bottom line was, this was a test to see how far the state can take things in case of a real emergency, like Greece.

  • HYPOCRITES

  • Maybe there were some cops among the protesters but the Socialist douchebags who were there do not respect private property and property did get damaged.

Who started it is irrelevant, who kept it going is.

  • @asperin

Exactly, the police had the power to stop it (and the duty) and chose not to. The only douchebags it seems were the guys with the fascist outfits...

  • It's Up to You to Protect Your Own Rights !!

    So Protect Them !!

Share this video with Everyone You Know .. Today !!

  • I was there at the corner of Queen and Spadina when the black bloc broke away and ran down Queen Street. The police presence there was immense, but they made no attempt to stop the black bloc, only closed ranks behind them and prevented other protestors from following. Given their manpower the police had at least five chances to stop the black bloc between Queen and University but did nothing. This was most certainly pre-planned - the black block did exactly what the police wanted them to do.

  • BLACK BLOCK was BLACK-OPS.

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS Most definitely.

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS this needs thumbs up to keep it at the top of the page

  • The Fascists taking over North America don't care what your social leanings are.

Right or Left makes no difference to them. Those of you that are young enough to

to have to live in the future need to start working together. The one thing they count on is "divide and conquer." You all have the same enemy, it's the powerful elite and the Bankers. Don't make the same mistake the last couple generations have. You will all lose.

  • the so called black block is full of gouverment payed agent provocateurs. They do that to have a reason attacking peacefull protestors and innocent people just walking by. Do you still call THIS democary if a paramilitary stormtrooper legion is beating the crap out of you while protesting for more justice and peace? And once again. The people who are in charge won't get any punishment for their lack of competence.

  • FINALLY, someone who's got a good perspective on this...not like that corporate crap that my cable provides! Thanks, Paul.

  • Of course they were luring the Black Block into a trap. Good way to get those thugs and trouble makers off the street, so they can concentrate on protecting the leaders from real terrorists. Face it, they were owned. And as for the reporters, if they wanted to cover the protests, what better opportunity than to get arrested as well and get a first person point of view. Write a book, no one is stopping them from reporting on it.

  • The "black block" were police - put there to discredit the demonstrations.

Thumbs up to keep it up the top.

  • well spoken, paul.

  • HEY this is the guy who talked to the police chief directly

  • @willman32 and interviewed the mayor of Toronto.

  • If anyone believes the avoidance of the black-bloc was because of a "lack of available resources", I have some nice real estate in the gulf states I would love to sell you.

  • this reminds me of 9/11. where were the police at g20? where were the military jets on 9/11?

  • @everst

    Wherever Cheney sent them...

In the G20 case...same thing...wherever Harper sent them...

  • Paul you are my new favorite news caster brother. Please keep up the great work!

  • Anyone who cant see what really happened here has more space between there ears than there is land in all of Canada.

  • @thepurplemann hmmmmm can u enlighten us all then please?

  • @Garrys300 I dont need to enlighten you all only the ones who cant see what is really happening here... two words : agent provocateur

  • these thugs are testing the water and getting people accustomed to their procedures. Let this go unaccounted for and we will see more and more extreme police actions.

  • I have an answer to the question posed in the video's info... YES absolutely yes.

  • Thanks for the good work The Real News!

  • @whatnameisavailablee did you send them $5 or are you freeloading?

  • @Garrys300 you know, I went out of my way to comment only for the purpose of ranking the video higher even though I really had nothing to say. Your arrogance isn't helping their cause.

  • that money would have been more well spent being donated to Real News

  • @wtfbroskie ya give it to me.............

  • One thing I notice over the last few years is a big increase in police force in my city. There are the brand new cars, equipment, and new prisons being built. New police trainees running in groups dressed in “police” running uniforms all over the place.

Canada is changing and everyone should see this video

  • @Steady282 one thing I noticed was that Canada has a bigger population then it did awhile back ya think maybe its connected to more police?

  • I've been watching TheRealNews for awhile now and I've never seen this guy even start down any wrong paths. He's not just intelligent and well-supplied with info , but wise and mature and very good at what he does. He gets right down to the crucial issues and in a way that is perfectly understandable even to uneducated fools like myself. He's one that I'm grateful for.

  • @grandmachristine42 you should donate then, if you don't already.

i've been down for $10/month for over a year now....

    ;d

  • @666norton420 Thank you! :)

  • @NicosNicosNicosNicos think nothing of it. :)

we all need rational, informed news these days and i can spare the pocket change.

    ;d

  • Maybe I'm dumb, but these "protests" look staged by government officials.

  • I think the government runs black block and they just send them out to disrupt peaceful protests and to create a reason to arrest peaceful people and shut down legitimate marches.

  • What happen to a peaceful protest? lol

  • I think Paul Jay is incorrect that a public inquiry will reveal the truth. I'm quite sure they will lie through their teeth and obfuscate, through bribery, well paid lawyers, and other means.

  • @VyseLegend Nobody can predict the future, especially not you.

  • There is a right wing swing of law and politics happening in the world. The price of offense greed will be paid by those the least guilty while those of unquestioned guilty get farmed moneys from bail outs and protected by unjust action while protected with unjust laws.

  • @AmericanResponses Just because they have police using brutal tactics to enforce unjust laws, doesn't mean there is a, "right wing swing of law and politics happening in the world." You did read about the Red Army? You do realize that they weren't a bunch of pot smoking hippies, don't you?

Read about the history of Neo-Conservatism and you will find that it originates from Communist Jews like Max Shachtman and Irving Kristol.

  • @dirtyboy830 WTF? Save your Communist Jews hate shit for someone else I am not interested What importance a person being Jewish is to their politics is lost in logic. There is a right wing swing in laws around the world time to face it. Look at what Arizonian immigration laws are imposing.Look at Texas. Look at Greece,France and Turkey .Less rights for individuals more rights for corporations and their cronies and nationalistic types.

  • @AmericanResponses The Arizona Laws are anecdotal and are eclipsed by the fact that the United States government is suing Arizona because Az is enforcing the laws the US government should. The White House, Congress, corporations, Jewish organizations et al want the open borders and amnesty.

Less rights for individuals and more for corps? What does that have do with being right wing? Left wing and Right wing isn't good versus evil. Government control and regulation is left wing by nature.

  • @dirtyboy830 "Government control and regulation is left wing by nature."

Boy have you been sold a load of crap Under Reagan government grew along with taxes and the loss of individual rights. The same with both Bush's. And history is full of right wing totalitarianism which it would seem you have bought hands down .First find a target other then the truth to blame....like the Jews ...then use that as excuse to take rights away while increasing government size and control

    No thank u

  • @AR lol... Like I said, goto wikipedia and read about the Neo-Conservative movement. It was founded by communists. Maybe you don't think the fact they are Jews is relevant, fine. What you are failing to see is that notions of left and right aren't good versus bad. Left includes gov. control and absence of law IE Communism/anarchism. Right is absolute law and absence of gov control. Fascism/Libertarianism. Saying our gov. is being oppressive because it's "right wing" is just flat out wrong.

  • @dirtyboy830 "goto wikipedia and read about the Neo-Conservative movement."

Are you kidding me snowflake? Try a creditably source. Go to library read some well established doctrine on the subject. And WTF did you just state that Fascism is absence of government control ...lol

As Libertarians they don't want laws or big government but as soon as some think they don't like happens they want to pull a bias law out of there ass to fuck some other group over. hypocrites

  • @AmericanResponses Funny how every Libertarian I know has a picture of Reagen in their house somewhere ...lol

  • @AmericanResponses

Really ? I don't believe Reagan was a very good example of libertarianism..I'm a libertarian.

  • @GeekMatrix His messages were quite libertarian. His actions, everything but. He's also a mass murderer, but that's a different story.

  • @GeekMatrix If you are of any age comparable. I think a good chance you had at one time because it was his sepal though he did not mean it . Less government less control but of coarse he meant for you not is cooperate friends

  • @AR If you had read what I wrote you would see that I meant fascism is absolute law and libertarianism is absence of gov control. 500 characters was not enough to say what I wanted to say.

Other sources confirm the same the same wikipedia said about the neocons and plenty of left wing sources. I know that you can go on wiki and type anything you want, but it always reverts to what it was. Wikipedia is a credible source, only people who know they've lost an argument that think otherwise.

  • @dirtyboy830 I 'm not in this argument but I wanted to point out that Wikipedia is not credible.

Wiki is nice for familiarization. Beyond that, you need an academic source.

It allows no primary sources nor licensed experts as its authors. According to wiki standards, Albert Einstein could not write the page on relativity if he wanted to because he's a "biased" researcher doing things in his own field. But any internet asshole with an uncredited secondary source can write anything they please.

  • @skullz291 It's credible enough for a stupid internet argument.

  • @dirtyboy830 " It's credible enough for a stupid internet argument."

Correction it would seem it is credible enough for you which makes your argument stupid. If you had other sources then name them . Why play around?

  • @dirtyboy830 The setting is irrelevant.

The point of any argument is to establish truth via communication, you should only care about "winning" if you really are convinced that you're right. Otherwise, you concede the point. What would be the purpose of argumentation if no one attempted to correct their wrong ideas?

Yes, wiki can be reliable sometimes but not for most topics. It's very unreliable, very biased, refuses scrutiny, rejects real evidence and is populated by pseudo-academic authors.

  • @skullz291 Either Irving Kristol started the neo-conservative "movement" or he didn't. Wikipedia and many other sources say he did. Is anyone going to challenge my contention that Irving Kristol started neo-conservatism? Wikipedia is just an easy source to use. Nobody on here is going to go to a library to confirm what I say. Going to wikipedia and reading a paragraph is something I think someone would actually do. For this purpose wiki is reliable. I'm not writing a doctoral thesis here.

  • @dirtyboy830 One person doesn't start a movement, the entire notion is absurd. If anything, it's probably an evolution of the old Nixon gang in modern times. Cheney, Rumsfeld, the Bushes all worked in that era and developed their current sentiments in the late 90's.

Having now read your post above, your argument is wrapped up in semantics. Trying to prove that someone who self-identifies as right-wing somehow isn't proves nothing. Changing a definition doesn't change the ideology or the group.
