@nexho555 well it depends a great deal on what type of music you want to play and the amp.

both are sick guitars, and have the same pickups i believe.

lespauls are more versatile than the sgs cus they can play stuff like this guy is playing and can be very melodic on the neck pickup for soloing and they have a smooth sounding clean sound. both have a very ballsy distortion sound.

but the sg is way lighter. of couse the LP wont be SUPER heavy but consider. ive owned both guitars hope i helped

@daveed793 I know what ya mean. Its not like picks up the guitar and suddenly has a mind block and can't get good tone out of the guitar because of what it is. I've sold Fenders strats and kept an ElDegas strat just because I knew it was better playing even if it was worth nothing much.
