Mine is really dead for real. It happened because of an update on cydia. It's stuck on the apple. When I boot it with redsnow, it boots normally and tries to load the springboard, but it fails... I tried to restore it by every possible way, including this one, it keeps telling me the 3194 error... I don't know what i'm gonna tell to my wife :'( For sure it's the very last time i'll jailbreak an apple product!

but when i clicked the restore button, the itunes says " Restoring iPad Firmware ", and then for the few next minute later. they say that it still Estimating Remaining Time and it's more then 5 minutes. we can use our backup, right? but it's not worth it, so i choose to reset it and jailbroke it with redsn0w and adding some best paid cracked apps. thanks :D

But that's why I'm freaking out, it froze while it was restoring! If it completely blocks while in mid rest the warranty is null and void. I can't take it back to the store in the event that it would die because the device is still half-way jailbroken.

The warranty (from what I understood) is only valid once the drivers have been reset. If they're half-way reset I can very well imagine the Mac Store telling me something like: "Your own fault for risking a jailbreak, sorry."

They might not be able to fix it but if the device completely dies and there is no trace of a jailbreak or other suspicious manipulations of the device (like trying to pry it open or evident water-damage), the warranty states they have to give me a brand new one. Up till a year from when I bought it anyway.

ur an idiot ... if it was bricked the whole system files and OS would be wiped and you can never use it again... this is just a file corrupt which fucks up one file and causes your ipad to not boot properly.
