i find it funny tht blues and shity pop songs have almost the same theme yet the blues has more emation and feel because the bluesman have felt this but while bieber, tht american idol guy get there songs written for them
Beautiful version of yet another EC classic! Love the jazzy/bluesy intro--and that incredible solo--pain and sorrow and anger and longing in every note--wail on Eric!!
Bass: Nathan East. Drums: Steve Gadd. Keyboards: Tim Carmon And David del Homme. Guitar: Andy Fairweather. Saxo: David Sanborn. Vocals: Katie Kisson and Tessa Niles. Eric Clapton is God.
it's the best version of old love i know... (especially the guitar solo)... i got the dvd of this concert and the solo on the keys (which follows) is brilliant too! everytime i listen to this i forget everything and just sit there with gaping mouth... the song doesn't even need lyrics, because everything which needs to be said is said during clapton's guitar solo. it's almost painful to listen to it...
It is a crying shame that this is not the full version the keyboard solo at the end is among the best I have ever heard and the reason i watch this over an over on dvd, it is sacrilege to cut it short like that.
I know the chords, the intro, the lyrics, everything by heart. One of the best songs of his

What a beautiful song. He wrote it after he and Pattie Boyd split up. Funny how much of himself he revealed through his music.

A Blues with some notes from the Natural Amin scale thrown in.. play around with them and you'll find the right groove
