None of you understand... You can either be a model or you cant. If you can't even stand up without losing your balance... You can't be a model. If you have confidence, grace, beauty, and elegance... You can be a model. You can't go to sleep wishing you were a model.... Then wake up the next morning on a runway as a super model. It takes time, practice, and concentration.

High heels are an acquired talent. No woman is born knowing how to walk gracefully in them. Start wearing them at home and don't start out with skyscrapper high ones either. Start out with something like a 3 to 5 inch and steadily work up if you like. You need to learn how to balance your body on them. Take slower, more graceful strides and pay attention to how your weight falls. Pay attention to your posture(something you should be doing anyways) and have confidence in yourself

@DiamondSkittle I disagree I have not been signed and I have been working as a freelance modeling fulltime going on 4 years. So you dont have to be counted as a model just by being signed.

@rashaud0788 I agree its not absolutely mandatory to be with an agency to be a model, but it makes it more official. Also, alot of times for castings, etc. they only accept appointments with models by refrence from their agency, so it is a bit better/easier to be with an agency as it is easier to find and get work, but again, it is not mandatory. Just a matter of opinion.

She does look great. Runway models have to be tall and thin, there will never be exceptions to this. There are plus sized models but rarely ever ever on the runway. It's has to do with how designers like their clothes to fit and be shown. It's the same principal as a mannequin.

You have to be at least 5'8" for most modeling agencies, but if you're 11 there's no reason you couldn't be a child model now. I've been modeling since I was 8. Even though you may not do runway modeling right away you can still get experience and a reputation.

There's different divisions to modeling. Most runway is 5'9" and above for females, 5'11" for males.

At this age, you would fit into children's division for modeling (places like Target, Walmart, clothing stores and places).

I do petite modeling, since I am under 5' 9" (5'4")

So there's always opportunities for people interested in modeling no matter what height or look. Just remember to always keep a healthy weight.

the REASON why a MODEL has to be SKINNY is because the designer will make one dress,shirt,whatever and the model will have to fit HIS MEASUREMENTS,they want a model who will look good and classy in the clothes,not overweight and drained.
