Same thing happened to me with the Rogue PF. Totally disappointed in the head sculpt and paint job, couldnt get a replacement, had to pay for return shipping. Quality has gone down. Sad
that is straight up bs man, totally agree, theres no way a focal point of the figure is considered a minor imperfection esp when ur paying premium prices for these things. There must be diff policies for international customers cuz when i have a defect they tell me to "destroy" the figure and provide them with evidence then they will ship me out a replacement at no cost. If i had to pay return fees to SS i woulda found another dealer ages ago, good luck with the situation man, what a bummer.
i ordered 2 captain america's from sideshow and they both had crooked A's and chest stars. sideshow gave me the same runaround and they also wanted me to pay return shipping. i basically told them the same thing you said about how i shouldn't be penalized for hot toys' bad quality control. after a few back and forth emails of me bitching and moaning, they finally caved and sent me a prepaid return shipping label. you just have to keep complaining.
i feel ya my HT supes came in with a paint chip on the neck i was pissed off but thank god sideshow replaced it ....u should just scratch the paint off and say hey i got a paint chip on my head sculpt see if that works lol
sideshow should stop selling those figures and send a letter to hottoys and ask them to fix the problems i got the dxo1 joker and i wanted to make his eyes look down and the piece that holds the eyes broke thay need to make there figures with better material

I had a deadpool figure I bought with an imperfection on the belt, the belt was supposed to be painted red and black but instead the one I recieved was painted all red! I contacted them and got an exchange set up. I received the correct black/red belt on the figure and was satisfied.

Not only is it crooked, but it also has a hole in it! I hope they don't give me the same BS they gave you. If so they can have their figure back and I'll take my business elsewhere. SS really needs to read their own 30 day return/replacement policy. And HT really needs to get their shit together. Bad word of mouth is going to kill HT.

I work some years ago in manufacturing TOYS!! is a very very dificult task, but all comments take me a idea.
The process is fail because the pressure in the poor people work in this items (you know painting worker and so on ) So Hot Toys is starting to forged the main reason we like the figures: the detail and artistic atention. Is not the same work 1000 figures with a 50 main professionals painters what 10000 with the same number people or untrained people from China!!! QC is not possible
Hot Toys has gotten way to big for their britches over the past two years. Even on their non licensed items, they have ridiculous price increases with each item. Their True Type base bodies have had between 10 and 15 dollar price jumps each year with each release. I understand inflation, but they are going overboard with it. They are just out there now to gouge the market for what they think they can get and unless enough people start showing them with their wallets, it won't change.
Some crazyness going on with HTs these days...I got stuck with a leaking Comedian and a Spiderman with web missing on his mask and part of that DAMN black under suit that he has on sticking out when ever I have him posed... I tried to get my Spidey replaced and was out of luck because my store had already sold its entire stock...
Man that sucks. I had a similar problem with a hot toys figure that I got form sideshow. they could not fix my problem and gave me a discount on the figure. luckily the problem was minor. I have capamerica from sideshow and mine came perfect the A is ok the stars are too. Sideshow is acting bad by make you pay for shipping. I hope you get your new fig soon. good luck

This figure has been a major pain for collectors every where. I live in Hong Kong myself and going down to Toy Hunters for product replacements are less hassle than what collectors from other countries have to deal with. But me and my friend went through like 8 Cap Americas and still got crocked A and stars, scratched shields, gun holsters falling apart uneven length red straps etc. The QC for this figure is just shit across board. HT must have really rushed their production at the end of 2011

It seems sideshow or Hot toys doesn't care for our concern. the only thing that we can do is repaint for it and hope for the best, the problem with stars we can stitch it back that really sucks . Anyway HT suck balls they always copy what other company releases and make it better. they should thank there sculptors that they did a great job on sculpting. neither the less they really suck balls lots of imperfections.

i had a similar situation i paid 250 for the batman begins exclusive it came from hot toys with broken ankles!! and i couldn't get a replacement for the dam boots!! dam crappy quality control so i ended up sending back and buy a shadow pred that had the fur falling off huh crappy quality control!

errors in production happen everywhere..I have worked in factorys and Shit happens..most memorable is having truck loads of freshly packed cherries having to be re-weighted in zero degree temperature inorder to be repacked and shipped to foreign states or countries...makes life interesting...

Yea no quality control and if it's hand crafted... how could the A be wrong on the rest of your replacement that bull.. so the person or persons knew oh hey my hand is tired instead of stopping to make sure i do it right i'll just keep making a bunch of messed up A lol
