at 5:47 when you create the reflection....When i followed this tut and made the reflection it changes when i move the shield or change the size of it....is there a way to prevent that?, need help

@Yootab You need to click (enable) second icon from right to left on "Tool Controls Bar" → with tooltip "Move gradinets (in fill or stroke) along with the objects".

@leon1160 At the first you have to save like a png bitmap, then you open this map on mspaint and save as jpeg bitmap.

hii have a question please! how can u make the think effect in the cursor? i mean mine is just a black line, but u whend u start fron the corner and pull for make the square ur line is light gray then inside the dark gray,where can i adjust that for make squares or circles whit the line wide like urs?

Go to Object, then click Fill and Stroke. After that, click the fill tab then click the regular bluish box not the one with white in it (the gradient). Once you do that make it the color you want. Then click the stroke paint tab and click the same bluish box as you did last time, and change the color to what you want

Im following the directions to a T. When I get to the part where I click on "make edges smooth" I get NO butt shape. It just changes the direction of the square node. Im running 46, Could it be different?

This is interesting. I needed a shield icon for a fake security business for an IT project so I decided to make one (for copyright reasons). So I typed in "shield icon tutorial" and the first entry was this one. I happen to use Inkscape 0.45 too... Also, this tutorial is awesome!
