i think one of mgmt's goals is to be original... the new stuff is a form of pop music for any of you who think its "underground indie hipster music" sorry but this isnt even close... its a very original form of pop music. which is what they did on the last album.. its really obvious to see whats happening here, and i dont know why other people think they know better than the artist... its is an extension of mgmt, not the NEW mgmt. and this song is just foreshadowing of all the criticism.

The flip side of that is: they recorded those pop songs to make MONEY so they could get rich and not have to work real jobs while being a band. That's called Selling out, the very definition of it. "Lets take a foray into pop music so we can make some millions.. ok now we got the millions, now we'll make experimental hipster indie music from now on, and refuse to play the songs that people like, won't that be funny?". Yeah, wait and see how many people won't be buying the next MGMT album now.

@xXTitoman66Xx I know, thats what a lot of other indie/sub pop bands have done in the past a big example is Nirvana they came out with Nevermind, then incesticide and In Utero which were a completely different more underground sound, its whatever works for them or like, Indie bands always stick to their roots thats whats makes them great and unique bands.
