Insomnium would be a good one for you then, not sure what song to suggest. Mortal Share is good but faster and less melancholy than what they usually do, maybe Daughter of the Moon to get an accurate representation.

I love both Daylight Dies and Swallow the Sun but I don''t think I would consider either of them doom metal. They seem to be more gothic/dark/ambient metal. When I think I doom metal I think of diSEMBOWELMENT, Winter, Moss...etc Doom metal is heavier and less melodic. It's also a lot slower. At least that's how I see it.

Take Eurodoom and The States' sabbath influenced take on it.

Two completely different sounds all together, but noone would argue they are any less a 'doom' band then the next person.
