There are more options than just socialism, communism and capitalistic corporatism. We have enough resources, technology and information to start abolishing the monetary system, taking a survey of all the resources in the world and giving everyone the opportunity to access anything they want, instead of ownership. I know it sounds far out there for many people, but its what will happen in the future and we need to start going in the direction. ALL current systems are outdated and corrupt.

We are in Afghanistan too and they don't seem to want to come out of there anytime soon. We're even doing stuff in Libya with armed forces. I think Iran could be next but China has vowed it will defend Iran. This is bad for two reasons: China has nuclear weapons, and they also are supporting this economy completely by buying our bonds. If anything it will actually help by raising awareness since any possible negative spin will be laughably false like whenever they have a video game episode. This is why we legally define slander and defamation. And the law punishes those who actually do harm, not just though and speech.
Remember that the gov't is not suppossed to infringe on liberties without just cause and what is just is debated constantly.
