Honestly, this was an amazing remix...and I love Goldfrapp. I really do. But I think your remix didn't get approved because it was TOO good. The Little Loud remix of their recent single "Believer" is in the same league as this...better than the original. Isn't that what a remix is supposed to do? Surpass the original and become the single? This is the way it was in the late 80s/early 90s in the era of Bell Biv Devoe, Bobby Brown, New Edition (New Jack Swing), Teddy Riley, etc. Anyhow, amazing.

Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps a decision to not use a remix, might not entirely be the band's decision. The other thing is, that acts often do put albums or 12"s out at a later time with tracks, remixes and other rarities that never got the approval initially. Many factors play a role in a release... not only wether one party likes a track/re-mix or not.

Perhaps a reason why THIS particular remix was refused, is the fact that its feel was too Black Cherry in terms of rhythm.

I agree with most of these people, how could Goldfrapp not accept this? It certainly sounds better than the other remixes I've heard, A&E was just a mess of remixes.

I think they should have approved this mix! It's really good. Goldfrapp seem to pick remixes where the melodies clash and sound like they've been produced by someone with no clue about music! I've certainly never enjoyed listening to those ones. Great stuff, keep up the good work! :-)
