Other than making lots of money, infesting his body with lots of drugs, spending a lot at the tattoo parlor.........he is not a very good drummer. He is a showman with a foul mouth, not a musician. He would be better of enjoying boat rides with skanky women were it not for the fact there exist many drugged up people who are brainless and foolish enough to spend money attending this type of circus act. @pavlovsdog3 Actually he is a good musician, and a great showman; he may not be as good as maybe John Bonham, or Kieth Moon that put out amazing beats with a simple 7 or 8 piece kit, but you have to give him credit he is a decent musician, there are much much worse. I've tried drums, it takes a decent amount of skill to keep a steady beat and throw in all the flourishes that we have come to expect from a drummer.

He doesn't do much to change the world of drumming. And the spinning upside down, that has nothing to do with drumming, and thats his only innovative idea. But Tommy Lee compared to Mike Portnoy, or Neil Peart, drummers from the same era... he doesn't even come close to their abilities. He may be good but not one of the best of our time.

Awesome Tommy has always wanted to do something like this. Oh and he does play drums in this, a drum solo does not have to be a 5min spot to show off all the fancy fills and how fast you can play. Tommy creates something and for me always will be a leader of things to do with the drum kit.
