I hear there's a small number of people worth talking to on the VF site, but the site is garbage right now because of the incredibly immature way its run and the kind of people they allow in the community, plus the ridiculous staff who only make the community much worse.

The site HAS A LOT of promise, and could be easily fixed if Jet ever grows up. For now the site is a waste of time, unless your an emo camera whore or a stupid kid who thinks being a goth is just the music and the look. Laaame

On that site, because its a popularity contest (remember what high school was like?), members can bomb your profile if they don't like you with negative points. If you get too many, your profile is temporarily suspended. If you're really popular and lots of people worship you, then you can delete someone's account..

Its a website... kinda the same concept as myspace, but it used to be a community where goths... real goths... hung out and talked. Now its been taken over by emo camera whores, trolls, perverts, and posers who think goth is only about the music, looking all dark and tortured, a popularity contest, fitting in, or a fashion show... and its incredibly pathetic.

I used to hang out there but I don't anymore. The site is garbage now. I wish there was a place where true goths could hang out and talk.

They dont think about music, they think listening to the same screamo boybands with eyeliner and only listening to 1 dark electro band and being on the Top 10 makes them cool, they all look the same aswell. most of the people on there are under 18 years old. they think they have over 1 million members but alot of them don't even log on anymore.

As far as I'm concerned, being goth has to do with your personality and how you express your self.

For all these immature fuckers who think you're a goth if you listen to goth music, wear black, drive a hearse, paint your skin white, act all dark and dramatic, or grow your hair long and dye it black... they can GO FUCK THEMSELVES. I can't stand people like that. They should be hung and set on fire, while rabid animals chew off their legs. They're ruining the goth subculture!!

You should stop getting a negative impression on Goths. Goths are not followers, we are individuals and the word "Goth" is just simply a label put for us/ name of the subculture. There's nothing wrong with being part of a subculture.

ALSO, goths can be of any age, though most are followers/ poseurs at a young age they grow up to be individuals, it's good to learn at a young age. Goths can be of ANY age, it's a lifestyle
