  • Hi" Folk´s great Party !!!!

    nice Greetings from Austria

  • Looks like fun!! I love jam sessions.

  • the banjo player has a great voice.

  • Oh, that is fun.

  • Can someone tell the drummer to stop? Not that it's bad, but this is a classic case of why drums don't belong in bluegrass.

  • I fully agree. Bluegrass and drums don't mix.

  • why do some people criticize this? They should have respect for it,.. this music is a huge part of american culture an history an has it's place among all other music, an the people now days who plays it an keep carrying on this great tradition should be nothing but proud,.... you all have no idea how much bluegrass an all american southern music is admired loved an respected all over the world,... from spanish countries to even here in the caribbean.... believe it or not....

  • excellent point. Actually, basically the one I would have made to all these fucks that are watching this video complaining about the fact that it's bluegrass.

Just because bluegrass isn't your preference doesn't mean it's not valid, or good. Bluegrass isn't my preference, yet here I am watching it, respectfully... assuming I could learn something constructive from it that fits my own taste.

  • Pick up on the mic isn't great otherwise great stuff.

  • boring. learn some difficult music and move out of the sticks.

  • Grow up!

  • you guys really sure do like this good ole jamboree crap, you're the 3rd person in under an hour to be pissed about this. i dont have to defend myself, but a person who is grow up probably plays something beyond hillbilly music that was outdated 80 years ago.

  • Respect bluegrass, you beatle-fag!

  • wow... stfu and stop spreading hate you crackhead

  • You're saying that real grownups can't possibly appreciate Beethoven or John Lee Hooker, let alone anything written or played earlier than that. I'm not the least bit "pissed" (it's a free country etc), but if that's your conviction I hope for your sake that you never grow up.

  • That was real good guys.

  • what is the song???

  • good job!!

  • YEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!

  • amazing

too bad most of it sounds the same

well it all is the same basiclly

  • well i wasnt being arcastic i ment it when i said amazing cuz it takes skil to pick fast like that and theres all sorts of blue grass i know some songs use the smae notes and chords in different patterns so it sounds the same but yet different mabe i should be a little clear a on what i mean next timme before someone jumps to conclusion

  • 40 years of trouble

  • great stuff

  • Sweet, guys! Thanks for letting me jam along on the net!

  • Go back and listen to a lot of old bluegrass- especially early Flatt & Scruggs, they used alot of snare drum in their recordings. This is tasteful drum playing and I wish we had a new percussionist right now.

  • lawl, drums GTFO! get that guy an upright bass.

  • Yall are good man. Where are yall from?

    TK

  • whats this song called

  • 40 years of trouble

  • this sounds like crap with drums and that is for sure!

  • EXCELLENT music. the two on the left...well they're there being supportive... drums or no drums....your rhythm is good. Most important is, it's music, and it's meant to be shared. Don't listen to the negative nancy's.... Keep at it, and enjoy it!!

    xo eva

  • Great Soud guys, brings a warmth to the heart

  • what the nae of that song

  • Wow good job you all, makes me miss home i saw another on you tube i go every 2 weeks and play at a place here where you can sit in and play with who you want and get up and roam around and play with someone else, but those 2 on the left ( guy and gal) puts me in mind of the shirlies on the andy grifith show no expression or anything just sitting there with with a blank look, give them a set of spoons or somthin' (joke)

  • Great job, so much fun to watch, straight to my favourites! I´m about your age, wish i had someone to jam with, here in "bluegrass desert" germany...

    Keep pickin´

  • you guys are cool :D bluegrass forever

  • what is tha bass players name i want to recrute him for a bluegrass band i have played with earl scruggs the nitty gritty dirt band and others i love his playing please get back with me

  • Hello over there,

nice to hear good bluegrass music. BUT where is the drum ? It sounds good.

    bravo from France.

  • Snare behind the banjo player.

  • You guys are cool. I enjoyed this video.

  • the jam was great. the drumming was tight. post more.

  • nice:D

  • Gives me a good feeling. That's what music is about, isn't it??

  • the electric bass and drums give it a distinctive country and western sound, not bluegrass.

  • I agree with guitarguy, I personally don't like the drums with bluegrass. I think it takes away from the tradition of the genre. But thats me, to each his own, right?

  • Now that's what it's all about. Nothing better than a living room jam with some friends. The drums sounded great and not overpowering at all, the drummer kept perfect timing and smiled the entire time. Great job guys!! Good stuff. Did you guys record anymore songs that night?

  • It's their jam, they can do whatever they want, right? Who's with me? LOL

  • tres bon les gars laché pas moi je vien du nord est du NB

  • get rid of the drums??? what the hell are you talking about. you ever heard of new grass? get it together son. i dig the drums.

  • the drums are not a good mix with bluegrass at all

  • ever heard of New Grass Revival? youre telling me that drums don't work well with bluegrass? They devised an entire new genre of music by simply adding drums to bluegrass. get a clue buddy.

  • hence the "new genre" part of your statement, so its not fukkin blugeass anymore with the drums, so how bout you get a clue! ......buddy

  • well who the fuck are you shithead? the upmost authority on everything? the president of the IBMA? president of the dickhead association? blow me while youre at it jackass.

  • What's with the potty mouth! Jimmy Martin and Flatt & Scruggs had a snare. That's a drum. Right? You guys kill me! Get a life!

  • thats what u call an idiot...They need to realize they got 2 ears and one mouth for a reason. U have forgotten more on the banjo....and bluegrass than these freakin little punks have and will ever know. Lets take a trip up there and whoop there ass brent....im down for it LOL...wouldn't be much of a challenge from the looks

  • The word you're looking for is utmost; while upmost is a word, you're using it out of context.

  • New Grass Revival did NOT use a drummer. They were Bass (later electric bass), mando, guitar and banjo.

They also did NOT devise a new genre of music. The drum (an acoustic instrument) had been used way earlier than NGR, but has NEVER been a part of mainstream bluegrass and hopefully never will.

  • New grass revival did NOT use a drummer? are you kidding me? Kenny Malone (Darrell Scott) played drums with them in the early 70's they had a ton of recordings with drums. get your facts right kid before you go preaching to people.

  • Okay, you know it all..................but don't call me a kid, I'll bend you over my knee and spank your young ass.

I wasn't making festivals in the early 70's.......when I saw them they had no drummer. I don't have a TON of their recordings (a pound maybe) but there are no drums.

  • well just know that you need facts before you make idiotic statements to people who are more educated. good luck bending me over your knee old timer. I would break your arthritic knees. people get their ass whooped for that kind of shit! so, do your research SON.

  • I'm with you on that one. Keep it traditional.

  • ouais..vous venez d'ou vous autres?!? good playin...drums..

  • Sud-est du Nouveau-Brunswick.

  • AYOUSQUE VOUS VENEZ DE???

  • Amazing !

Bluegrass is the most beautiful and authentic sound I've ever heard. A frenchie speaking... we are not all faggots !

    God bless America

  • Good stuff boys!!!!

  • This is fun!

  • Dang good playing. What song is this?

  • Forty Years Of Trouble

  • get rid of the drums boys..you know better than that

  • Pure joy!

  • loving it

  • You guys have a nice sound!! It's cool to see "the younger generation" embracing bluegrass. I like it too, but all I see in my neck of the woods are older guys.
