now to be honest, id rather see her doing something with gwen stefani because i think they kinda have the same sense for humour and for music as Art....and for miss fame GaGa music is just a medium of getting rich in a easy way by ruining her own life...(my oppinion, nothing more)

This entire video is an hommage to John Waters, this is a combination of Female Trouble, and Multiple Maniacs where Divine is raped by a lobster that comes out of no where. It's absolutely brilliant in its referencing cult influences from the late 60s & early 70s. I love Gaga, she is brilliant, but Roisin. This would go over the heads of so many people.
@Hyshinara While Gaga (along with Madge) has borrowed a lot from Alison, I think she's taken a lot more from Roisin. This is most evident in Overpowered, Sow into You, and Indigo from her Moloko days. That being said, I think Movie Star sounds like it could have come off of Supernature (and I'm not the only one)

However, as many times as I watch it, I just don't like this video. I think it starts out fun and I'm enjoying up until the lobster sex scene and then I'm lost once the zombie scene starts. I just don't get it. And I don't really think it's very entertaining. First video of hers, Moloko or solo, that I haven't liked. Oh well, to each his own. :-)
Well, I think she is a naive strong headed girl who involves herself into movie industry, not knowing what will that cost her. When she is done, she becomes a monster like the rest. Róisín would be a pretty good actress, but I think her acting career is over after this video, at least in Hollywood. Compare this song to "Hotel California" by The Eagles.
As much as I love Róisín Murphy the chorus of this song bears a striking resemblance to the song at the end of the video game portal, sung by the computer. I still love it though.
I think it sucks that Lady Gaga is so much more famous than Roisin Murphy. Don't get me wrong, I do like Gaga and think she's brilliant, but Murphy is an absolute poetic pop genius, a true artist with a gift for both lyrics and visual metaphor.
