I had an 950, kick butt radio. I read these reviews on eham with guys stating how their 80's vintage Kenwoods, etc is 100X better than the new stuff out today.....not a chance OM, either on audio or any of the other specs.

I thought you were fooling us and we were listening to FM repeater chat until you moved the dial. I was thinking about an 857D but now I'm thinking maybe I should save a little more and go for the 950.
I use a speaker from a car radio; 4 Ohm/25W/5 inch dual cone. Very good sound and same what you hear on the video.
