Linda Bove was her full name--she's held a record for the longest running time for a disabled character on a series, and she's one of the few cast members (Bob and Buffy are the other two) to use her real name on Sesame Street.

Now I resent that remark. I'm partly deaf, but that doesn't make me dumb. There's nothing wrong w/ having on hearing aids, or even glasses -- if you need them.

@DanaAbel30: He meant "dumb" as in "unable to speak", not as in "stupid"....though I can see why the expression still offends a lot of people.
