If im not mistaken IQ is based on a normal distribution. They said one in 10 million is as smart or smarter than he is, so couldn't you calculate his IQ with that information alone?

On that test 170 is just the top, you cannot go higher. Actually the guy testing him said at the time it was probably higher but those were ceiling effects. His IQ on the stanford is much higher (tested again last summer). He basically tops out any IQ test he takes...so it is considered unmeasurable. Thanks for noticing. ted kaczynski scored a 167 on the stanford binet at 10 yrs old, skipped two grades went to harvard at 16, then went to MI , PHD by 25, teaching at uc berkeley by 26. so they have similar IQ - - 3 pts is not a big difference and 1 guy goes to college at 16, the other 8, makes no sense at all. His Iq should be re-tested, if he is in college by age 8, his IQ should be much higher than 170
@mjccmc82 You are comparing two individuals who live in two different eras. What TK experienced in his time in terms of grade placement clearly was different - the IQs still might be similar.

Leonardo Da Vinci had an estimated IQ of 220, but I believe it could have been more. Come to think of it, I hate IQ tests. They're just numbers :D
