its a very intresting subject... i think sadam and binladen were busy from the start... they are known for their hate against the americans and those people stood up to actually make moves to the Americans. i do think the war is feeding that instead of sooting it. actually they shouldve reacted on 9/11 with great sweetness, like you went there and said, you guys are so unhappy that you must attack us, here we give you food, money and protection.. everyone would be like: oh, nice guys those USers
Obama spoke on Iraq today and still doesn't believe Al Gore on this one. He thinks there were no terrorists in Iraq until we went there. If we pull out of Iraq to hunt terrorists elsewhere, guess where they will go again?! We'll be chasing them back into Iraq and the war on terror will be prolonged unless we do it right and win and get Iraq stable and able to defend herself.
lol its funny how everyone says Iraq was such a stupid choice, yet they all voted for it (including hillary, biden, edwards, etc..) yet when it was politically convenient for them they switch sides
I kinda think if it hadn't been for the disaster on 9/11 that our country wouldn't be so divided and we wouldn't say that something as little as a presidential election is so crucial.
Yeah, but then Gore and the Dems say now that saddam had absolutley NO ties to terrorism. But Bush did what Gore is suggesting in this vid.
Where's the logic in that?
The fact is Saddam DID have ties to al-queda.
If saddam can bury airplanes in the sand, what was keeping him from burying missiles etc. in the sand? He had enough time to dispose of the evidence. We were attacked in the 90s and did nothing, giving saddam a LOT of time. We didn't go in Iraq until 03. Thats enough time to hide.
Nader was the only candidate against this war during the 2000 campaign. During the Bu$h/Gore debates whenever Saddam's name was brought up Al Gore agreed that Saddam was a "threat" and needed to be dealt with. Im glad I didnt vote for that man. Hopefully Nader will jump into the race this time.
no ties to terrorism in iraq? are you fucking nuts? have you heard the news lately. maybe they weren't there before and we fucked up, but they are sure there now. they need to be obliterated
Unfortunately for some, world history starts at birth. Sometime between now and the time you graduate high school you will read(hopefully) that Saddam attempted GENOCIDE. Like it or not we have a national interest in Iraq. If we leave terrorists will no doubt retake a wounded Iraq and spread their cancer to other parts of the middle east.
Things DO NOT change! Evil men stay evil, liars stay liars, and liberals will continue to change their minds based upon whatever opinion is popular. You like quotes? Thomas Jefferson said
This and Gore's other 1992 video rants underscores how the Dem's will say ANYTHING to tear down this country to hold office. One more thing. Any liberal who reads this. You talk about Bush's low approval rating. YOUR new Democratic Congress has the lowest rating in 40 YEARS.
You people really have to get more alternatives to vote, than just the to parties you have. They do the same things, say the same lies. When they come to power they are a disaster.
Al Gore...a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing...
Love his about face. Too bad his flip-flopping will live in infamy on youtube. Love throwing the hypocrisy card back at him with his own words. Also, what did he and Bill do about 'global warming' during their 8 years? .... and terrorism?....and illegal immigration?...and social security? I know, don't ask, don't tell.
wild how Gore ranted and raved about how bush ignored the terrorists, the nuke possibilities, and that he used WMDS (poisonous gases on the kurds), yet now we get Dems saying we never found any WMD's, I guess they only classify them by who's in office! Bush in office, "no WMD's", Clinton running for office, "Bush is ignoring all the WMD's" goes to show that politics isn't about accounting for your own actions and words, only about trying to bash your opponent.
Al Gore, the centurys biggest hypocrite, lives in a mansion and drives huge suv's and limos but expects the rest of us to drive hybrid shitboxes, scolds Bush Sr. and later hounds Bush Jr. for doing exactly what he was recommending here. I don't think Bush is right all the time (his emigration policy is way off!) but I do agree, I'd rather fight terrorism over there than here on our soil. Burn in hell Saddam.
The 1993 Trade Center bombing happen in Feb. one month after Clinton/Gore took office. So it could be said that Bush41 was ignoring terrorism. But notice, nobody blamed anyone, they just caught the perps, tried them and they are now in prison, forever.
Seems to me Gore was right. That bombing might never have happened if Bush41 had been paying attention.
"caught them"? More like the terrorists were stupid enough to try and get their deposit back on the van used to bomb the WTC towers. Barny Fife could have caught them. Let's not forget that we had the embassy bombing in Africa and the attack on the USS Cole during Clinton's Presidency as well. AND that Clinton had two chances to have Osama bin Laden delivered into US custody but TURNED DOWN THE OFFER! TWICE!
Gore was using the same info the world had, now the Liberals say all that was nonsense. Bush made it up. Its more like conveinent truths about Saddam. Its part of the reason we overthrew saddam. Liberals Shut up, Video and Flip Flops do not lie.
The gorebots are going to be upset. They don't want the hoi polloi to know what an abject phoney their hero is and has always been. Gore would have been a disaster as POTUS, had he stolen the Presidency as a result of unconstitutional recounts in those three 'RAT counties in Southern Florida.
What a failure he was. I cant even count how many terrorist attacks took place when he was VP. Their 'do nothing" approach to terrorism did nothing but allow Al Qaeda to grow.
Under whose Presidency has Al Qaeda grown more? Clinton's or Bush's?? And actuially what is wrong or inconsistent with what Gore is saying? He has never said Saddam was a nice person, he never said in 1992 that we should fight a war to get rid of him. I am struggling here to understand why the right are so hot under the collar here, unless of course they recognise Gore's threat and have decided to trawl right back through the archives for a hint of a flip flop or inconsistency.
A hint?!? It's as big a flip-flop as you can possibly imagine. Let me guess...you think George W. Bush (the current President) was somehow about to get the CIA to mislead the Clinton administration for 8 years? This is a major policy turn-around on Gore's part. He's playing politics with the lives of U.S. soldiers. Thank God he was never elected President.
Do you have any evidence to back that assertion up? None of the circumstantial evidence I know of points to that! If you have access to a history of Al Qaeda membership or something similar I would be interested in seeing it!
And Ynot4tony2, how is this a policy u-turn? What has Gore said since 2000 that suggests he no longer believes Saddam was involved in Islamic terrorism?
