Snap On's cordless impacts are good, but their air impacts aren't worth having in my oppinion. I work in a semi garage and my Mac impact made by IR is the one everyone has to borrow when they need to get something loose.
@fusionstar916 I might of said that once to myself, but I doubt it now! I work in a garage with 4 guys, 2 of them have this gun, I got the old Snap On IM6500, an IR231xp, also a Bluepoint that matches my IR, and a 70 dollar harbor freight impact, when I have something stuck like this in the vid. I have to go borrow theirs, it beats all 4 of mine. and samething prob happened to this guy, his gun couldn't doit, but his coworkers MG725 did, shocking to him, I swear by these now, they have torque!
Snap On impacts are junk,my Matco tool dealer gets tons of Snap On impacts for trade ins and no one wants them.Hand me a Snap On impact,I will hand it right back to you.My father tried a Snap On impact once, dealer he once had talked him into it.It was nothing be but a piece of junk sent in for repairs. My father told his ex dealer to give his IR231 back at the time.
I have a Matco impact made by IR that will out do that Snap On.Look on my Matco tool dealer's tool truck takes in Snap On impacts and no one wants them.
@wafrederick I believe your mistaken. The Snap-On super duty 1/2" impact wrench has 1,190 ft-lbs bolt break away torque which is almost 100 ft-lbs more than any IR 1/2" gun. I have the MG725 and everyone in my shop wants to use it when their shit matco and cornwell guns can't get the job done.
@eurokid83 Snap on is a damn good brand, but you can get better impacts for the 1/2", IR 2135 is much stronger and we have proved it many timeds in our shop when the MG725 could not get off any bolts, we used the IR and zapped it off, it is possible is may have loosened it but when have tried it several times... IR is the one that takes it out. I recently sold my IR gun for the Nitrocat 1200K which is much stronger then the IR.
Just about every tool I have at work is a Snap On, except the impacts. They are all without any excections Ingersoll Rand.
