  • Amazing ! i feel it in my soul

  • interesting. lol

  • OMG! This is Both Scary and Exciting, I am Blessed. Thank you Mama.

  • I just came across these poems by accident. These are GREAT! Thanks Dede.

  • Sex cause happens to produce in your brain a lot of things do it's endorphins it makes like eating food does to you can be accidited to anything

  • Wow! This is exactly how my friend was/is when was was a teen 'til now, she sleep with men trying to find love that never filled that void of her absentee dad & emptiness love of her mom, not to mention her being molested as a child by peps her mom trusted. We reconnected after 16yrs. & she's still the same, after a clan of kids (all different baby daddys, 2 dead) she's finally talking change after having another baby by an incarcerated guy once he's released 'cause he wants her to bare his..

  • @sharonanony, thethingkid & anyone else who can't see the truth in these words of wisdom! Take a look at the most popular "rap/hip hop videos" on the market! How are the women dress? Aren't most of them black women and being called hoes and bitches? If any one need to go back to school, it would be the haters who are also calling "children" kids and see no difference in the meaning! A kid is a baby goat not a human child! Denial is a curse!

  • Oh, by the way, I've seen your other videos. You should have your own spiritual retreat, you are so motivational in your speeches!!

  • @quietstorm9421 Thank you for this video. I've never experienced this kind of emotional and sexual pain. I am a pure, wholesome young black woman who is an 18 year old college student. I know I am one of the fortunate ones who never have had to worry about rape or emotional pain from my childhood up until being 18 years old. I know a woman who is eight years older than me who has experienced this similar pain and who needs to watch this.

  • This Implies, That Black Women are not Sexual Beings. And they only have Sex when men want it.

    What you want Lesbian DAughters.

Sex is not from Empty Spaces all the time. It is a DRive, to Procreate that is Natural.

This is too much Talk, based on Black women being ignorant about their sexuality. Black women are Naturally Smart, Please stop making the sound like puppets of men, with their bodies.

  • @sharonanony Generally I make it a habit not to respond to comments left here. But I had to say this poem is not about EVERY BLACK WOMAN OR GIRL. This is for the lost ones, this for the little girls and grown women I get letters from who have been abused, who don't feel worthy, who are sleeping with men trying to find love. And I won't even go into the women and girls suffering from my daddy left me hunger. I know that woman and that girl because at one time it was me. I am here to empower us.

  • @quietstorm9421 AND I FOR ONE THANK YOU

  • This is to let quietstorm9421 know that this is a very excellent video. The message is very relavent. Please excuse my spelling. Also, if it is of any importance to you, I am a black male.

  • THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED

  • This poem made tears come to my eyes; I am that daughter. Excellent work. I will teach my daughters to love themselves.

  • amazing video, truely beautiful , im touched x

  • thank u

  • I could totally relate to this poem. Filling up an empty space because you question your worth & wanting to be loved. I can't change my past, but I sure can change my future. Thanks for the motivation & letting me know my self worth.

  • Excellent poem!!!

  • oh my goodnesss.....thank you author of this. I am those little girls that you speak of. Fortunately I have found my way and I am growing in self love. This spoke to my heart and I truly appreciate this. THANKYOU

  • Sorry mom but this apology comes a little too late...you ruined my life.

  • sadly 2 say myself, dat aint no black Queens in this country no more,

they just souless evil ambitious cunning snakes 4 a black females...

  • what made me angry, is that I actually can relate to some of this myself....I will teach my daughter to love herself....omg...I love this.

  • damn gurl you only speak the truth.this is some real stuff right now

  • This was so beautiful. So many young Black women really need to hear this. And Youtube really needs to set up a blocking feature on here. So that people who are ignorant (not to mention that their ancestors are from a country in Africa), could have a chance to save themselves from looking stupid on the Internet.

  • lol that's the for damn sure...

  • THIS IS TO NICKYBARNES1979:

U ARE A disrespectFUL DEMON. WELCOME 2 THE VOICE OF A TRUE BLACK WOMAN, A SOLDIER.

  • lol You're an idiot. Phenotypes among African peoples are the MOST diverse among ANY OTHER group of people on the planet.

Go peddle your stupidity off some place else. Try a special ed group? Perhaps a vocational school filled with slow kids? lol

  • No not really. They all follow a general theme. Black skin to light brown skin. Flat wide noses to straight noses. Kinky nappy hair to curly long hair.

  • @PorkChopMissPiggy I've never seen "black skin". But I have seen pin straight hair as well.

  • Hair that is artificially straighten. I don't mean to sound racist but I don't like the texture of black people's hair. It's kind of weird.

  • @PorkChopMissPiggy It's understandable. Most animals have straight fur texture. Seeing a human who is so different from them would strike someone who has that in common with lesser animals would be weird. :)

  • You..are...an idiot. All phenotypes from from black women. Skin gets lighter not darker.

  • this so beautiful!

  • THANK YOU!!

  • I'm listening to this and I went from happy to sad because this is so true and I can relate to some of things she was saying and its sad. We really need to do something to stop this cycle for real. Thank you for this video.

  • Gotta say great vid...good message

  • so true....great vid

  • Beautiful, more women, not just black women should see this video

  • Thank You!

  • You are good!!!

  • I love this video! You're very talented writter! And this story is true, because of how bad the world has goten. God bless you :)

  • Thank You

  • Malakayah,

Your comment tickled me, as it very true! I have had nothing short of a positive experience being dark-skinned. A solid foundation of confidence is key - - especially during the earlier years. After all, you receive what you project. 

    Pe@ce & Blessings

  • Beautiful. I wish all young women could hear this.

  • How moving! There's another component to this though: a black woman blaming herself for the excesses and lapses of black men. As a 'mixed race' girl, I saw how the black guys treated my blacker-looking friends: how they were awed & deferential to me but treated them like chattel. I was infuriated by the disrespect that my wise, educated and BEAUTIFUL friends endured by men who were often darker than tey were. We need to take the black man to task: he has failed us all.

  • 8722974

Maybe, your friends were just not cute, it has nothing to do with you being mix, get the fuck out of here.

The black guys including myself, don't be hating one over the other, because you know the old saying, no disrespect.

I like all my beautiful black women from the lightest to the darkest.

Blacker the Berry sweeter the juice. that is so true. lol

no disrespect. Love all my beautiful black sistaz.

  • My mother is like what you say and it is good to her this even thought it is not from her. But I am glad to say my nature is beyond her. So that I can be more than that and be a true mother that teaches her daughters her true power and beauty. And thank God for my husband that saw that beauty in me and was wise to know my true worth and waited for Gods say and promise to be with him and not to desire my flesh but desire my heart.

  • you are soo sweet we need moe men like you thank you

  • Excellent

  • WOW...I don't usually care for poetry, but this is wonderful truthful and insightful.

  • this was one work of art but i do believe in this instance we should add a few of our white sisters/asians/ etc. they too need strength in a world corrupted by "man"

  • quietstorm9421 - This is a powerful video. Great job...

  • Thank you again my sister may God continue to bless you...

  • Avoid White women for marriage. They are now becoming more skanky than the Black women.

White girls are into Girls Gone Wild, Sex & the City, and screwing around w/ all guys at the bars/clubs. Even worse, "sex positive feminism" are advocating the term "slut" to empower 21st century women -- most are middle-class White ladies. Those feminists are idiots for trying to empower a male-dominated degrading term like "sluts."

Black women - don't degrade yourself like the White woman. Stay pure!

  • i know white ppl cna be racists but so can we and sinkin 2 ther niveua wont bring us anywere and you do not know evry whtie girl on this planet so u have no right 2 say this!!

  • I'm from America - and this is based on my observation of White American girls - those Girls Gone Wild and Sex & the City examples are based on White Americans!!! You are not even an American, so don't claim that you know what I'm talking about.

  • Truth...

  • Very encouraging! Thanks! This is truth spoken.....

  • wow...that made me cry

  • That was amazing. It really makes me think about what I have learned and why I am the way I am.

  • @tigrette123. Whites are doing so much worse, please wake up to reality. White men:

    -Paedophiles

    -Incest: sleeping with family members

    -Beastiality: Sleeping with animals

    - Serial killers and rapists!

Only God can save you guys, so deal with your OWN problems.

    Visit CRACKERMANIA...

  • @ChristianRose88 Actually, I recently read that non-whites are more likely to be abused by a family member, in Britain at least.

  • ....OMG...That was so Nice!

  • empty spaces, a father's love lady this poem is so real. real beauty comes from the inside say it girl!

  • The BOMB!

I am totally inspired and filled with ideas

sparked by this poetry and images.

I was like WOW when I looked up and saw it was actually a response to a video of mine.

I'm not deserving of such an honor.

May we all follow in QuietStorm's example

and uplift our people and give honor to

    Black girls and Black women.

  • Absolutely beautiful and wonderful. This poem spoke to me in a deep way, and hopefully us young women coming up can learn respect for ourselves before we have to make such an apology to our future daughters.

  • wow!! Thank you for sharing that beautiful, much needed poem. Life is difficult and trying for all of GOD's creatures on this earth, but it is especially challenging and mentally draining as an un nurtured adult black women, fighting to hang onto a positive self image with the constant invalidation, and extreme lack of representation offered by mainstream media and corporate America. GOD help us all.

  • Thank You so much quietstorm9421.
