Thats cute .. my dog doesn't like carrots .. nor can he catch ... thing will hit him in the head and he will just look around like .. "what was that?"

Jelly has quit a few "what was that" moments. He's not so great with a treat toss from across the room. A lot of times it turns into a bounce it off the nose act rather than a snatch and chew.

Turned out he was allergic to carrots. He couldn't bark for a couple days after that. Sucks cause they were real convenient.

That wasn't the day he learned that but he learned it quick. Who says you cant teach an old dog new tricks? :)

Cool. I had to lay off the carrots. I think he's a little allergic to them. After a session like this he was going hoarse. He'll do it with anything that stays put though.

YEars ago... I was doing this trick with my bosses black lab. With a slab of ham no less.

I got distracted, and walked away,,,came back 30 mins later, and he was still waiting for "the WORD" ..... He was shaking, poor thing!! I said OK, but the ham was stuck to his snout, so i had to peel it off!

Jelly is precious! Meeka will only eat carrots if they are cooked with a wee bit of butter and honey on them. Sort of takes away from the goodness of vegetables ..hee hee. hugs, Chris

Oh Jelly is soooo cute!! And very smart, I might add! I was going to ask if they were carrot sticks, but someone beat me to it! I swear, animals are wonderful! And Jelly is just precious!

Yup, baby carrots. He love vegetables! He would grow brussel sprouts in the back yard if he could figure it out. Only thing is he drives everyone out of the house for the next couple days after he eats them.
