Ok first of all, you seriously need to work on your pronounciation for some words, because I didn't even know what u meant when u said en lair, because btw, lair is pronounced as one word! Same with grand( more accent on the a) a la second ( pronounced secon, not second)!
thanks sooooo much. i just moved and i had to transfer to a new studio and my new teacher only uses this type of terminology and i didn't know all of it... until i saw this video :] thank you for posting!
its when you are doing a ron de jambe starting from the back then towards the side then to the front =-) on de or is going from the front to the side to the back
the sound stopped and so did u like 3 minutes in right after the grande plie...so ya if u ever repost this tet us knoww =] haha...im gonna subscribe yay
i'm actually a popper and i got a nationals competition in a few weeks and i really need to learn the basics of ballet and tap, so i'm subscribing to u. there's a lot i need to know, so thank you for helping : )
Hey, thanks this was helpful, even though I'm French it's not always obvious what things are just from their names.
Video stopped playing properly for me at 3:04 though :(, so probably missed the most difficult stuff, but anyway I just wanted to say Technokittin is right, and also that "seconde" is, for some reason, pronounced "seGonde". With a "g" sound as in "guitar".
In most latin languages it's actually spelt with a"g", but in France we don't like when it's all too easy... lol ^^
I had the same problem too! At least the video continues at 7:03! Exactly when it says "Thanks For Watching" with Lady Gaga playing in the background.
my teacher is abbey lee mille she says stuff and i dont know what it is can you send me pictures with the word please lilmama88880@yahoo.com

This has helped me with my basic understanding!! But it would be a lot more constructive if you showed the movement as well.

It *means* "inside" and en dehors is "outside". But yes, usually those two terms are for the two directions of ron de jambe.
