My entire family lives is Chicago. They all want me to come and live there too. This gun law ALONE is the reason I will not ever be with my family. I live in CA which has a jacked up law too. in the uk we are only allowed air rifles up to 12ft lbs off licence are high power air rifles 18 ft lbs + allowed off licence ? in the usa ? if so they would be very effective at stopping a crimminally minded person.i have in the past shot deer with these type of weapons and they will definetly down a burglar etc air arms make a very good multi shot high powered rifle

I'm glad you found a viable tool to stop intruders.  I too am aware of the effectiveness of big bore air rifles. It is sad though that you right to defend your life has been mitigated to Macaulay Culkin, Home Alone tactics against invaders. Better be careful that "they" don't catch on.

hi rightsman123 i live in the uk gun control is even stricter here.i own a 20.sheridan rifle a sheridan c02 pistol and a wehireuch hw95 all are 12 ft lbs except pistol which is 5 ft lbs but if shot with it would hurt and stop a attack hopefully .over here we have a stabbing epidemic at the moment

Good luck to you on that. I hope it never comes it. I think I'll stick with my Remington 870 or maybe my AR-15 for home defense. Wish you guys had it better over there with regards to gun laws. Every man and woman should have the ability to own the most effective means of stopping someone from taking their lives. Unfortunately there are some holdouts on this logic over here and were still fighting to preserve our rights.

Most people would do better with medium shot shotgun loads for good force and low wall penetration, espesially in high-density areas. Handguns might be better for more disabled people who can't handle the bulk of shotguns. Rifles tend to have too much wall penetration unless there is frangible low penetration rounds(haven't done my research on rifle frangibles or bean bag style.)

38 frangible in a 357 medium sized frame is great, low recoil, low wall penetration,They usually run anyway.
