I loved the dress but I was dissapointed at the same time. Everyone kept on saying how she would go the Diana route or the Grace route, but I had hoped she would show up in a Catherine dress. Stunning, but I have seen this dress so many times on so many different women, it wasnt that spectacular. Hardly a Diana moment, but as long as Kate loved it, thats all that mattered. :)

Her veil is too damn limp. It should be "flowing and ethereal", but it's more like a nuns habit than a wedding veil, like it's clinging to her, even on her face. Marie of Denmark - now she wore a proper veil. She looked like a princess.

Once indoors, it doesn't touch her face in the slightest. I thought it was perfect. Sheer enough so that her face is easily seen and yet still visibly present. Compare it to Diana's veil who face was much more obscured.

@Kailaa3 I actually preferred Diana's veil - it had an ethereal look to it & the tiny diamonds sewn on to it gave it such a regal look. That's actually what a veil is meant to do, to give a bit of mystery, a show of "purity" & to give the bride a little space to herself. One thing that actually bothered me was that the breast areas of the Kate's dress looked really pointy. A true design flaw, my eyes kept getting drawn to that, I felt a embarrassed for her as a lot of men talk of it crudely.

Honestly, we have far too many strapless dresses, and many of them are not flattering (nor appropriate) for a wedding. Dresses like the old fashion kinds Kate wore should be brought back.
