  • Ones again, Dawkins turned into a rabitt 6:24 to 6:26.

  • I can't stop thinking of a herd of cats.

  • What the hell does Richard mean, point to the compatabilities.

Religion does murder rape steal and degrade humanity it's like a signature for the delusion.

  • awww I love kitties...

  • President Bush sucked! The last time someone listened to a bush, about a half million people wondered about in the desert for 40 years!

  • it's a shame when scientists come together to discuss their two fields but end up having long, drawn out discussions on religion. I doubt a priest and rabbi would do the same about physics.

  • On every Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, Dennet, and other known atheist's videos, you see an overwhelming amount of atheist comments that show tact and conscious, but I wonder how many are openly atheist for all to see. There should be multiple atheist days where we all put ourselves out there to be seen.

  • @graemealee Thank of all the shrooms I could do with 100,000.

  • Why is he doing that with his hands...waving them around as he talks...looks stupid

  • @Hermoor because that was how humans communicated before language was developed.

  • It's depressing that Pres Obama has to stoop so low at the end of every speech and say, "God bless you, and God bless the United States of America."

If the prejudice of religious people were not so tolerated, I don't think we'd hear anything from our Pres about this nonsense. His Darwin video is a prime example of how he would speak if it were acceptable for him to do so freely.

  • I am what you call a non people person for the most part and I work a government job dealing with the public however the more I listen to mr Krauss the more amazed I am and the more I love him. Truly another rare great human being. Although I can almost say that any friend of the great mr Dawkins is a hero of mine.

  • yah, funny how europeans dont mention god like americans, i tought they where more advanced than us...

  • @tiagom135

    what exactly do you mean?

  • @Zuurkool1 i mean that americans are religious fanatics

  • @tiagom135

and they, is referring to europeans? aren't europeans more advanced if americans are religious fanatics

  • The american dollar got "In God we trust" the british pound got a picture of Darwin.

  • Where can I meet the bright and attractive woman at time mark 5:25??? Trivial post, perhaps, but....

  • I like the cat analogy richard mentions...so true...in so many ways.

  • Christianity ruled the Europe for a few hundred years before it found its way to the Americas (particularly to the USA from England). Now, it's not as dominant in Europe as it once was, and people are more open and able to speak out against it (and many other religions) in Europe compared to the Americas. Even in USA people are starting to speak out against it... it won't be long until it's going to start dying here too... just a matter of time and education!

  • You know what , there would be nothing wrong if tony blair prayed with George Bush. The problem is if they use their religion to make political decisions.

  • So did the political thing Lawrence was talking about near the end of this clip happen?

  • Dawkins is so awesomely "spikey", he will only take you so far and then just pop your bubble with a razor sharp gentlemanly slap with a glove.

  • @123backinyerface lol so true

  • I'm praying to fucking 'gawd' that America is just as "religious" as it is "racist" in our next presidential election. :)

  • I think the creationists have conspired to ruin the sound on these videos.

  • haha props for mr. dawkins for complimenting wikipedia. I imagine most of the people who talk shit about it are the people who have never even looked at a single entry.

  • He's right, you know...independent thinkers are much more difficult to "herd".

  • I don't see how miscreant can be derived from a country named Cretin, so as funny as you clearly are maybe you should fuck off.

  • @PrimaIScream So, your from Cretin also........

  • You're so stupid.

  • @PrimaIScream ....You're so stupid.

  • I'm so happy Dawkins complimented Wikipedia! I honestly think if I had to choose between Wikipedia and textbooks, I would choose the former. I hate it when people say it's rubbish because anyone can edit it.

Wikipedia is like science: only those who don't use it, doubt it.

  • @darkmiles22

I agree. Wikipedia also has an advantage over textbooks in that it can be updated to our current knowledge of the subject.

  • Does anyone else find it awesome that Dawkins edited Wikipedia? I think that rules.

  • I think it goes toward proving the point that he is, as a scientist, willing to experiment and observe the outcome. He didn't assume his first thought on the matter was true. He made an honest attempt to try his theory and he was surprised to discover a new resource. Another kudo for Richard!

  • @mfentruck

Would be great if he got into big arguments over requests for comments and arbitration: I'd find it even more hilarious if he got banned! (Not that I don't like him, just imagining him get so heated).

Oh and the philosophy of wikipedia is awesome, it's kinda based on a dialectic and democracy.

  • good point this video makes... communism in theory works, wikipedia in theory wont work.

  • @harlosik13 if examined in any depth communism doesn't work in theory either

  • I think as a posittive that atheists have almost all branches of science and education I just wish that if people want religion they should take it in a church and outside of school then we may stad a fighting chance.

  • what the fuck is wrong with the sound?

  • @dumbnetworks Simply, the recording is made from the mics on stage. The sound of the audience mics is only conveyed to us as picked up by the stage mics.

  • I feel sorry for my bothers in usa. You are not only ignorant, but you find your self in totally misguided hands.

Before you go around stating effect sentences, you should educate yours selfs about the people who has power to input religious symbolism in MONEY, their own god.

    open your eyes.

  • I see way too many youtube videos where the audio is way out of sync with the video. I've never had a problem myself with my videos, so I don't know why so many others do. I wish people would take greater care, or experiment in how to get that right before uploading a bunch of videos. It makes it really hard to follow when one person is talking and I'm hearing the voice of somebody else talking, or the speech is way out of sync with the written subtitles.

  • The conversion modules on youtube's servers are to blame for the synchronization issues. The audio/video was most likely fine on the uploaders computer.

  • may be its something that is not fixable or very difficult to fix. It isn't that big of a deal at all considering there are only two men with completely different accents talking. Its so easy to distinguish whos voice is whos without even having to glance at the video.

  • Stand up and be counted. -Proud to be an american atheist-

  • Good for you, bro!

  • One reason I am proud to be british indeed. As Dawkins has put it, on the american dollar bill you have "In God We Trust".

The British currency you have a picture of Mr Darwin himself :) We should put in there "In Darwin we trust".

  • Agreed

  • We should remove "in god we trust" from American money. It's a shame...

  • I agree :)

  • We should change "in god we trust" from American money to "in reason we trust"

  • Will there ever be a single event of this sort where people just ASK a question and not listen to their own voice for half an hour?

  • Comment removed

  • this is annoyingly out of sync

  • Wow that guy with the google shirt... how much was he paid to waffle on like that?

  • is dawkins saying organize???? it's about time athiests did.

  • yeah a secular party should get in the works if there isn't one already.

  • Canadian politicians rarely mention God, too.

  • when people get up to ask questions, they always rave on about nothing... just ask the fucking question and fuck off...

  • totally agree

  • "Hi, my name is Shane, I read an article on the internet, let me talk about Wikipedia while wearing a Google shirt. Internet! Internet."

  • That is true. I usually use references USED by wikipedia.

  • Me too, the wikipedia text is usually quite accurate but what is even more useful are the references of wikipedia.

  • out of sync, and its downloading at the speed of retirement. This always happens. Ill watch a series of videos, and some will want to download, others not. Some out of sync, others not.

Youtube is starting to go downhill faster and faster (which is about the only thing they do fast anymore)

  • The morality of a believer is not compatible with that of an atheist because they come from two different directions.

I, an atheist, dont commit crimes because I understand my responsibilities to my society; no one has to tell me what is right what is wrong.

That is not true with a believer; he has to be told, thou shall not commit crimes (they call then sins), or you will burn in hell.

  • Kent Hovind used to say that there has to be a god, otherwise how would you differentiate between good or evil? This is one of the most preposterous religious ideas I've ever encountered.

I'm fully with you. It is simply my healthy instinct as an evolved being not to act against my own species.

  • exactly. Comments like these give me hope

  • Saying Kent Hovind and preposterous in the same paragraph is redundant.

  • Oh my God, you are an idiot. Kent Hovind is one of the dumbest people ever. Do you realise how mind-blowingly easy it is to disprove everything he says, any Creationist is better than him. Michael Behe is better than him. If you think Hovind knows anything you are completely lost.

  • I was kidding asshole. God sake, take a chill pill !!!!!!

  • Oh, penis.

  • hehe u should know by now that most christians are stupid enough to say that :P

  • were you an atheist before or after the Ten Commandments were written?

  • Were you a christian before or after the porn?

  • Spending one's life apologizing for being a human being, feeling guilty for having perfectly normal sexual fantasies .... not cool.

Whatever works for you, though. Be happy. Live long and prosper :)

  • Morality is a direct derivation of natural selection. Every single moral value we have stems from self-preservation and procreation.

It is different for everybody. Morality is completely subjective and evolutionary. Everyone has their own moral code, whether it meshes with other people's moral codes is where people get into trouble.

  • Morality and christianity have nothing to do with each other. A christian merely picks the parts of the bible that fit into his/her inherent moral code and discards the rest as 'not what god intended'.

Yes, morality has it's part to play in life, but it has nothing to do with faith.

  • #1 - You cannot use the bible as proof that the bible is correct.

#2 - Morals aren't inherent to christians. You're claiming that christians are the only ones that have morals. This is beyond ridiculous.

#3 - If you were following 'gods' moral compass you'd still be owning slaves, stoning people to death, and killing your own children when they're insolent.

Loving one another is promoting a bond with another creature that will view you favorably, thus enhancing the chance they will aid you.

  • Animals that stay in packs and help each other SURVIVE. It is a perfect example of a survival mechanism.

Why don't you have any slaves? Why are you not stoning people to death? Killing your children? These are things your god accepts, promotes and demands of his followers in the bible.

If your god came and told you to kill your parents then rape a child, would you or would you not do it?

  • well yes that seems to make some sort of superficial sense, but you also have that wonderful sphere of biology that includes the social animals. Ants and such. They'll willingly give themselves up for the benefit of their communities. You see this behavior, to a certain extent, in humans as well.

I would consult Mark Twain's brilliant essay "What is man" For many examples of altruism that are self-motivated by an apparently instinctual and ingrained sense of duty.

    Isn't that beautiful?

  • what is to keep the creations of a holy God from instilling morality in all creatures? simply because humans have the ability to create technology and compute things and think ideas does not mean other creations can't help each other. i would say that for animals, it is instinct that drives them to protect their own kind. but humans have the ability to give up their life for someone they've never met, or for someone who does not deserve it. it takes a GREAT deal of love to do such a thing.

  • Canadian politicians never mention their religious affiliations either. They may be known to the electorate, but if a Canadian politician was to mention their faith in a speech....that would pretty much guarantee their removal from office at the next election.

  • Wikipedia is a great tool if you want to casually look for information.

However I would never ever use it as a source or reference.

  • I used just one "fact" from Wikipedia in my first year at university, and that one thing was incorrect, so I never use it anymore. Just because it sounds like it knows what it's talking about, doesn't necessarily mean it's true. Look at Kent Hovind for example

  • Yeah, Wikipedia sounds plausible as long as you are not well immersed in the subject. If you go and check out the articles concerning your own field of expertise you immediately go "what the hell is this hogwash".

  • I tried to ride a bicycle once and I fell off so I now tell everyone I meet that bicycles don't work.

In case this wasn't blindingly obvious yet, any research resource is going to have some problems, if you don't verify your findings, whatever your source is, you're never going to be any good as a scientist.

  • I do a music degree, lol.

  • Then err.. I guess you're not really bound by scientific rigor xD

  • lol

  • Does anyone know of that science debate between the candidates happened on the 18th? I'd like to see it.

  • Are you a creationist troll by any chance Hunkola? I suspect so, because your spamming posts on all these videos display the same blend of misrepresentation, simple-minded bigotry and faith-based lack of reasoning displayed by many of the most offensive creationist trolls. You're presumably hoping to discredit Dawkins by trying, with stunning clumsiness, to associate him with idiotic and despicable opinions. Cretin.

  • the point about the school is a good one tho. i live in Australia so i don't know how it is in the USA, but in primary school we learned a little on evolution, in high school biology a bit as well. but one thing that suprised me when i read THE BLIND WATCHMAKER was that i really didn't have a clue about it. the way in which we were taught made me think of it in far more lamarkism than darwinism terms. needless to say, i'm glad to have read the book.

  • Oh, Goodie gumdrops! I get to have another meaningless conversation with 'cruelfate45'! I don't know which comment was made to me,and I don't care. When I hear you attack other people (like Odessaboy, or good old Dawkins himself) I can hear the real reason behind your attacks. You don't like evolution, not on scienctific grounds(there aren't any)but on emotional grounds. You don't like what evolution has to say because to you it degrades humanity(or contradicts religion)and this makes you angry.

  • Also, as I said before Cruelfate45,if you dont believe in evolution, which is the basis of biology and biology is the backbone of modern medicine. Then why don't you stop seeing you doctor, since much of their information that they use to treat you is based on erroneous information anyway.Hey, if you want to stick you head in the sand(or up your ass) then go right ahead. However, do us all a favor and stop commenting.I for one have had it with idiots like you. GO read a book and educate yourself...

  • dawkins calls people "religious maniacs"--

prayer to a Creator of all things has not been disproven as being ineffective...believers can be looked at as valid as SETI who seeks for intelligent life... i think America has evolved to a higher state of faith and government because of the separation of faith and government

and some people from the UK sneer at us being religious maniacs.. as their postchristian world is slowly being taken over by islamists

  • Prayer to a creator has been proven as not only ineffective, but in some cases very dangerous and unhealthy. It may, and i'm sure does, help many people, and that is fine. In no way can prayer to a supposed creater be compared with a search for extraterrestrial life. There is no way possible that God, if one exists, is a living biological being of any kind that is subject to the laws of the universe. Prayer is hopeful thinking and nothing more or less.

  • odessaboy-- you know only 6% of the universe in theory with 6% of the universe measurable matter from the big bang...-we still can't measure dark energy and matter.. your arrogant conclusions are laughable... the search for extraterrestrial life can be compared to the search for a creator..

"there is no way possible that God, if one exists, is a living biological being of any kind" -- if we're going to assume infinite universes or we're a computer program by an "alien life"it's worthyfairgame

  • Your comment is laced with the menacing overtones of scientific ignorance, especially regarding the topic of discussion. Ever heard of WMAP? No. It mapped the universe back to a mere 380,000 years after the big bang. Only380,000 years uncharted in a universe 13.7 billion years old is a bit more than 6%, wouldn't you say? A scientific theory is defined as "a body of scientific knowledge, factual and coherent". So there is a difference between that, and your god lives on mars theory.

  • I agree. However, I would add that many people's belief in extraterrestrial life is an endouver that has many of the characteristics of religion. THe belief in extraterrestrials (and UFO's) may be another example of how humans are searching for the 'other'. However, I feel there is much more merit in the extraterrestrial search than there is in Religion. Oh no! I think I just indicated that I'm into UFO's. I'm in for it now...

  • It does. But, like you said, it may be more legit than a search for God. I'm not saying it is or isn't. The conditions that allowed life to eventually flourish on Earth are universal in scope; therefore it is possible, if not probable, that there is life all over the place. Of course, at the rate of destruction caused by supernovas, gammaray bursts, and black holes, that life would be always on the brink. But jeffbrown8 is wrong about SETI being comparable to religion.

  • Hey did you hear the joke about SETI: Silly Effort To Investigate. I used to think that SETI might have a chance at detecting an Alien race, however Looking at technological changes today I don't know if E.T. would use Radio waves (the means that SETI would use to find a signal from E.T) E.T. may use laser technology or some other technology beyond the scope of human based science.

  • we just measured the gamma rays from a supernova 7.5 billion years ago..it takes 5 years to get to the nearest star... SETI needs to keep trying.. and we need to keep praying seeking a Creator.. there's too many wonders of life to be a random effect of dust coalescing.. scientists might devote their whole lives to studying snails.. why not a Creator of all?

  • Science studys snails because they exist. A scientist can see a snail and understand its workings to some degree. You can't study a Creator when you dont see one. Also, which Creator would you study? Many religions have many different Creators. If your talking about the 'Abrahamic' Creator (Islam, christianity, Jews) then your being Theologically centric.

  • You know, you and I don't disagree as much as our posts to one another may make it seem. You're not wrong to say we should be looking for a creator, but i'd phrase it: we should be looking for the truth and if it leads to a creator than fine; if not than fine. 85% of scientists are atheists, why? What is it about the study of the facts of life lead that many people who've dedicated their whole lives to it convinced that there isn't a God? That is the question.

  • I believe that if there is an alien race out there, it must not be very different from us. Only so much kind of life can be formed in a universe of finite types of material. I don't believe we've been "visited" before, because I doubt anything out there has the technology to do so. I think they'd be in the same boat we're in. I do think that humans occupy places all over the universe. No different than europeans found humans in the western world long ago.

  • I must say I strongly disagree with you. Most stars are much older than our sun, thus if any planets around those stars have life they would be much older than we are.If those planets have intelligent life with technology they could very well be thousands if not millions of years ahead of us in technology. Your view is a little too anthropomorphic and very humanly centric. As far as the UFO's subject is concerned the data shows a phenomenon that is physical in nature.

  • I guess that is true, but I doubt any species could last millions of years. Humans have only been around for about one hundred thousand years (twice that at most) and we're on the brink of destruction right now. I doubt the possibility of life being sustained that long is great. It would certainly defy the examples given by earth, not to say it isn't possible. The life spans of stars are not very different, so any life would have about equal time to form and evolve. Although I do get you point.

  • I do still have some hope that we will make it and destoy ourselves. However, a society that loves American Idol maybe should be taken out as soon as possible. Har Har. If an Alien race was much more advanced than ours, and lets say found the answer to the grand unified field theory they might have technologies that we can't even think of yet. However, that isn't important when compared to the question of our own survival. We can be one fucking dumb race...

  • I meant that "I have hope that we will make it and NOT destroy ourseves (must have been a freudian slip)...

  • That is what I figured.

  • Agreed. We are dumb. The biggest problem is mankinds division along national lines. That was the biggest crime against humanity ever. Perhaps its sustained us in some ways, but it has always been more of a liability than an asset. It seperates us and denies us identity with the species as a whole and divides us into different types of people: Americans Canadians, Germans, British, Iranian etc. Humans are very violent and when seperated and made different will bring great pain to each other.

  • You can thank evolution for dividing us up. Its in our nature to be violent (we did evolve from predators after all). However, one of the biggest divisive element among humans is religion. Its right up there with physical appearance.

  • True. But we can overcome this reality of evolution. Richard Dawkins did a tv show on that subject, how humans have rendered evolution obselete in the respect that we are not bound by the laws of natural selection anymore.

  • I believe that although we may not be bound by the laws of natural selection we are still held in its grip. Look at all the martial infidelity, unwanted pregnancies, people who smoke ( and can't quit), people who live off of fast food and all the other bad choices we make. These are examples of how our brains were designed by evoloution and how much of our behaviour is dominated by emotianal impulses, that although may be irrational, are none the less powerful and difficult to control.

  • Perhaps.

  • Did you check out quirks and quarks? If so did you listen to the author of the book 'kluge'? Come on dude I gave you the head up on the site, so you got to check it out...

  • I did. I havn't listened to it all yet, but will probably finish it in the next couple days. I thought the title of the book was right on. We tend to look at ourselves as a superior species, and we are anything but that. Kluge hit the nail on the head. Very interesting site so thanks for the heads up.

  • No problem, dude. I know that people like us are the minority.

  • you are a failed organism, I usually don't get mad, but you are about as stupid as one can get. Are you an adult? You are just talking out of your anus right now.

  • your an idiot. culture thrives on diversity, where would the orient be or Indian culture and on and on and on if it was a global society? there are negatives to it, like when the globalists pit nations against eachother. but it is the sovereignty of nations that makes society work. are you a globalist, New world order brainwashed moron? you just eat this stuff up don't you, how sad.

  • Your comment is so stupid I can't even tell if it is serious. You have no concept of the phrase "new world order", let alone who first coined it and why, and yet you have the audacity to call me an idiot. You're also blind enough to even believe that mankind is divided naturally among racial lines. You probably don't relize that we're all made of the same particles of the sun and there is no difference between us except what we make ourselves. Without nations, culture would still remain the same

  • whats up. Remember that 'kluge' interview on quirks and quarks I told you about. Remember how the author in the interview said that when people don't like something they try really hard to refute it. Doesn't Cruelfate45 provide a great example of how much of a 'kluge' our brains can be. Live long and prosper...

  • He provides the perfect example. I was waiting for someone to do it. Glad to see you and I are willing to lay the smackdown on him. Keep in touch.

  • Will do. ANd remember people like cruelfate, although annoying, do provide great comedy...

  • Also, have you heard of a science radio show called 'Quirks and Quarks'? If not check it out, its one of the best science radio shows around. If you go to their site they have many past shows available to listen to. A few weeks ago they had Michio Kaku on taking about his new book. They also had an interview with someone (can't remember the name) about their new book "Kluge", about the human brain. ANyway, check it out...

  • i'll check it out.

  • Also, I disagree that "the conditions that allowed like to eventually flourish on Earth are universal in scope". I guess I'm nit picking (not to mention I'm in to UFO's, what a contradiction that is!!)however Astrobiology is by no means an absolute science. I believe it's possible that evolution could have taken a different course than what occured on Earth. If so life may be based on different principles than Earth based Biology. Yes, thats a big "if", however its fun to think about this stuff.

  • I meant univeral in scope in the sense that it could have happened other places than earth. The molecular clouds that make a protostar, then a t tauri star, then a main sequence star, are in more places than just our galaxy. There are about one hundred billion stars in the milky way alone, not counting the 450 billion known galaxies, it would be crazy to think that what happened in the solar system couldn't have happened elsewhere.

  • ok--with all the galaxies and 200 billion stars in our own.. what a wonderful creation it is.. with the magnitude of how amazing this universe is.. what's wrong with thinking that an amazing external source created it all- i'm arguing for perspective and against the closemindedness of denying a Creator

  • I don't disagree with that. My beef is not with deists, but with theist. However, its wonder is a matter of opinion. You believe it to be wonderful (and i'd agree) because it is so unusual compared to our normal day to day experiences. But your assertion that it is a "creation" comes from the fact that you belong to a species that creates, and therefore views everything through the eyes of creationism. Not to say there isn't a God, there may very well be; we don't know.

  • I not saying that it couldn't have happened else where. I was just stating that the evollutionary processes might be different on a planet of a different size, distance from its star (also the type of star it orbits), how fast it orbits (longer or shorter than the Earth year),its mass (more massive less massive than Earth), ect. I have no doubt that the universe is teaming with life. However, it may be very different than like as we know it on Earth.

  • True. May be different, but I don't think drastically different.

  • I'll say one thing for Atheists: as a group, we're pretty much as diverse as they come.

  • in other parts of the world religious people are laughed at....in the u.s we elect them president

  • The right to choose is the right of every human being. So how can a person choose his religion freely, when from early age his/her mind has been shaped by a particular religion, mostly encouraged by his/her parents and society as a whole?

  • "...praaaaay"

LOL! Good old Paxo. For any non-Brits unaware of his most famous interrogation - "Did you threaten to overrule him?" - please take a look at that here.

  • Did the science debate of candidates happen? it didn't, did it?

  • Wikipedia is not counterintuitive, ironically.

Wikipedia is a prime example at how anarchy balances itself.

  • sometimes i hardly find it justifiable that a vote in a balot by these men is equal to a lesser mans ...

  • Check yourself. I agree that these men are great, but the idea of democracy goes against what you suggest. You can't cut through your frustration with ignorance in this way. It leads to evil things, always.

  • Great. I live in the "worlds greatest democracy" and yet the course of action we have to take is lobbying. So in other words we have to continually buy our freedom.

  • I live in Canada. I'm glad I don't live in the states. Too many people in your country are like sheep, being told what to think. However, I guess thats true of most people. Oh well...

  • I know. It seems like people are becoming more skeptical since Bush fucked everything and everyone over though. I don't know if it is true of every other country. I've seen video from political rallies in Europe, countries like Italy and Greece (where my mom is from) and people seem very involved and actually informed about the real issues. Look at Bolivia where the poor actually elected someone from their own ranks, not some well to do man or woman born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

  • I believe that some people are becoming more skeptical in your country ( I presume you live in the U.S.). However, it seems that many Americans are still asleep at the wheel. Your population has to stop watching American Idol! What does it say about a country that impeaches a president (Clinton) for getting a blow job, but 'looks the other way' when monster fuckups like Bush complete screw everything up. The man can harldy construct a sentence.America is becoming a tragic comedy. Enjoy the show

  • I don't think it is American Idol that is the problem as much as The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity and Colmes, and Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. All the people, who are in the pockets of large corps. misinform the American people, and many Americans end up voting on non-issues like "does he wear a flag pin", or "he said people cling to guns and religion when they're bitter", or "his pastor hates America" etc. America is a phenomenon; a country rich and advanced, yet at the same time ignorant.

  • I meant 'hardly construct a sentence'. Must be the 'bush' in me. HA ha. However, I do want to ad the America has produced some amazing things. However, if your population keeps perpetuating its scientific illiteracy I don't see a great future for your country.

  • I agree. Thankfully, we have people like Christopher Hitchens (American citizen now) and other great scientists from all over the world who care enough about America to become vocal about that issue, like Dr. Richard Dawkins. It is nice to know they care about science, and i'd like to think America too, enough to speak out about this. I don't know what can be done about the religious right in America. They must somehow be cutt off and disintegrated.

  • I think the next president for the USA should be Tom Cruise! Could you imagine that! I can just see him jumping on the couch of the white house screaming: "you don't understand Psychology, and I do!".
