saw these supporting Machine Head in 1990 something.Im not a big fan of industrial but they had a certain loser grunge vibe to them i appreciate, some really bad songs by them but a few gems.
I am with you man. One of my all time favourite bands too. And certainly one of the most underrated ever. Would the world have taken notice, and probably they would still be with us!!
Theis was definately the best era for metal. Now everything is a formulaic mess based on what bands such as MLC started. No uniqueness anymore. Nice upload m8.
I have been working with Patrik Wirén to make a definitive page for Misery Loves Co. on Myspace, Misery fans please come check it out, youtube doesn't seem to want to let me post the link but it is on Myspace if you search for Misery Loves Co.
Awesome band. I went on tour with these guys for two weeks in 2000. Had such a laugh with them. Last night of the tour we cut their guitar strings while they were playing the last song of their set and dismantled the drum kit (which was mine) and covered them in food and tooth paste. They weren't happy bunnies, but it gave us a laugh!
ya know, first thing i heard from them was "my mind still speaks" and i was just blown away. and even though they mellowed out. songs like these are just so eerie, i could still appreciate them but just on a different level. great band indeed, oh boy but quite shitty live.
I've seen them twice live & love'd them. 1st show they was supporting Machine Head & the singer was rolling over the floor screaming into the mike, the other is when I 1st stage dived & what a gig. I miss these guys live and on record
Yes, these guys were pioneers and extremely talented. All of the albums hold up great to this day. Highly recommended for anyone who likes great metal.
Fuck, I mis these guys, I loved them when they were more of a death metal band and even when they changed i still was a fan, everything they did was so dark, love them.

Misery Loves Co. were fans of Godflesh - they even wore Godflesh T-shirts on stage.
And yes, that was the time for melodic, inspired metal.

They were ahead of their tine, they anticipate the nihilism we are living nowdays.

Yeah, I've got the Happy? single with the live tracks. It is sad how such great talent can suck at performing.
