@MrGeegus 2009 Gold Cup = USA played a C-Team due to our starters resting after beating the #1 team in the world. 2011 Gold Cup = Horrible decisions by Bradley which led to his termination. We lost to CR and Belgium because our boys are still adjusting to the new style of play and because Klinnsman wants to try new people to see how they do. Obviously, they're crap. But now we know! Once World Cup Qualifying starts, the USA will be unstoppable! Have fun losing to Brazil!

@Headcheezonium Actually, Mexico got to the confederations cup by defeating the US 4-2 on US SOIL. Mexico won the U-17 world cup and got 3rd place in U-20 world cup, in a few years, those players will make it to the big team and US fans such as yourself will have a hard time dealing with the fact that Mexico will be A LOT BETTER THAN THE US, they are very even teams being Mexico a little better, but that's about to change ;)

@Headcheezonium hahaha i love united statians excuses, C-team and horrible decisions, well Mexico have excuses too, the US has a defensive counter-attack style, Mexico is an offensive team, the US just waits for Mexico to make a mistake and attack at high speed, if they play Mexico toe to toe, 5-0 or 4-2 will happen, also in the 2002 world cup i remember a US defense touching the ball with his hand and the ref didn't call for a penalty so, in other words Mexico has better players ;)

This is maybe the fifth most popular sport here, no one watches it UNLESS the USMNT is playing, its like track and field, you only watch it once every 4 years VERSUS mexico that LOVE the game and how far have they gotten in the WC again? @hworkdedication I admit, we played a horrible game in the 2011 Gold Cup, But as a whole, the USA has dominated mexico over the last 10 years with 10 wins, 5 losses (3 at the azteca), and 3 draws. USA beat a full strength Spain to go to the confederations cup final. Mexico won the cup by defeating a Brazilian B-team. (Ronaldinho was the only starter on that team). We also beat you in the World Cup. USA rules CONCACAF and always will. Come back when you can beat Argentina.

FIFA rankings won't really matter as long as we stay in the top 3 in CONCACAF. I want us to actually experiment with more players and try two strikers up top so we see if we can play different styles. We'll be fine with all of out top guns out there together, we just need to know which young players can make an impact in WC qualifying.
