@VondasRipper No it's not the singer from Orchid. It's Sonny Kay. He started Gold Standard Laboratories and was also in The VSS, Year Future, Subpoena the Past, etc.
good stuff. i like these bands - clikitat the best. was led here after looking at some homostupids, sex vid and mayyors live clips. nothing sunny day or mineralesque about angelhair so i see the scream but don't comprehend the emo part. come to think of it, i flatly refuse to. this is rare and interesting stuff is all.
do any of them really think they have skill? man only way to even stand this for more than 10 seconds it drop acid, e, and almost every drug known to man
Christ!! Quit with the labels, its just great music. Quit tryin to put music in genres, thats what kills it for musicians trying to do there own thing. This is one of my most influential bands!!!
Yeah, I saw them at Epicenter in San Francisco in the 90's and they were quite good, the vss continuing, sonny's label (gsl?) damn...they went huge, all pretty good stuff.
you people need think less about labels for music and just listen. who gives a shit, its just about playing music that matters and that does not mean you ever lived in washington 80-89 then san diego there after.
the term 'screamo' makes me want to punch a 15 year old kid that listens to 'linkin park' or something. such a derogatory (or appropriate, emo without the revolution/ feeling) term for latter day hardcore emo, I agree. thumbs up.
'I'm back'..same thing, people say/ 'punk is dead' what is really dead is the spirit behind early emo, fugazi really set the style, but circa 92 or so, the kids just wanted something 'real', FULL of power, emotion, completely non 'comercial'. it HAPPENED, and once the posers started trying it disapeared. Give me Indian Summer, Still Life, Mohinder, etc.
They are screamo, a sub genere of emo, which is a sub genere of hardcore punk. And They probably are bitchy lyrics, you just didnt get to that part of the song.
yes, they're "emo", or at least screamo like toukisarchu said. ever heard "rites of spring" or "swing kids"....they're real emo, and screamo came from emo, and was around in the mid nineties. "emo" as it's labeled today (which is what you're referring to) is a misinterpretation thanks to mass media.
fail it

in the scene where we belong to, skill really doesnt matter that much...as long as were able to express ourselves...
