Really? Okay, so mind explaining why Punk Rock made one of the biggest splashes in the music industry for America? Also, mind explaining how the Sex Pistols are suppose to gain any kind of following when they play in places like Texas? I mean, for fucks sake, the band manager admitted to fucking them over with the American tour. If they had actually gotten to play more punk influenced clubs, they probably would have been a much bigger hit than they already are.

gotta disagree with the last point. the fact that they were playing in places where there was bound to be friction was part of mclaren's plan. all the violence between the band and their audiences made them more famous and a bigger hit than they would have been if they'd just played in clubs where the audience loved them. i mean, i'm sure there were a number of clubs in the USA who would've loved them, but like u say mclaren purposefully fucked them over - and for a reason.
