I FUCKEN LOVE IT WHERE DO I GET ONE OF THESE PEDELS AND HOW MUCH??? REALLY PLEASE HIT ME BACK HAVE SEVERAL MUSICAL FRIENDS THAT WOULD DRF BE INTERESTED!!!! THANKS FOR POSTING!!! AND FRANK WOULD BE PROUD!!!
@tatmom43 its not a "pedal' its the software >> download guitar rig 3 or 4 on the net. the "pedal" is actually a controller, that u get when u buy the software, so juste use the mouse it will be ok :) , or u can use a midi interface to switch on/off effetcts in real time :) there is also Amplitude, a good software also : the cabinet emulators are good, and if u use this software; " Riffworks" : drum machine, effects; recording sequencer and it can load guitar rig/amplitude as a plug in :)
@Diosukekun you do realize this video is compressed down to 240p.... any one watching this video and trying to criticize the sound should think first.. smh 240p sounds horrid and the upper of this video should be ashamed to even use such a low quality for an audio demo lol..
phrasing of his part at 4:20 is amazing. for those that hate the tone, well no shit its guitar rig. he endorses it because technically its an amazing tool to shape sounds with, you can try anything easily and cheaply. nobody should actually use it for, or expect it to have, perfect creamy tone.
Dweezil and Frank are awesome but Native Instruments support just plain sucks. If they got their act together, they'd be a great company with a great product.
what you hear next to the amp and what a live audience hears, or what a listener hears from a record, are three different things. I mean, who likes the sound of their own drums while they play them? they are so loud, how can you tell? anyway, that "van halen" sound is missing that slow phazer effect. I love the sound of that backing track though. therefore, it must be from the 70's.
@andersforfang You're exactly right. But the cool thing about this is that you don't need an isolated place and hearing protection in addition to a set of a few Carvin Legacies - in order to sound like the italian virtuoso. You can put your headphones on and travel to another planet. It's great fun to explore sounds that my Blues Junior can't produce, but for the sounds the BJ is capable of, I prefer the real thing.
The fun factor is great, yet it still is no substitute for a great amp, the fe
@andersforfang I thought Revolver III beat the tone of the amp I was using before I found out about it. But the other programs aren't nearly as good with distortion.
@harpdoodle - dweezil does do his own thing,, I quite enjoyed his Z band with ahmet. That said, more importantly I feel this goes beyond any comparison nonsense. Dweezil, has dedicated many of his last several years touring and playing his fathers music in memory of his father, and more importantly, to keep the MUSIC alive, to have it heard by as many new listeners as possible. Its a CELEBRATION of the MUSIC and of Frank. To simply say he regurgitates sounds ignorant.
@harpdoodle thats not really fair. imagine you grew up hanging out at dads studio, you'd be hearing what your hearing all day, whether it was frank or any of the other guys pssing thru, and if any of it is stuff that strikes a chord with you, your gonna learn it or ask for tips. its just natural.
@a7x8594 Why don't you shut the fuck up if dont know what you're fucking talking about? You can't even compare EVH to Dweezil. Dweezil is simply playing his fathers music. EVH was and still is the one that many tried to emulate yet fail. He came up with the shit that all the 80's guitarist's copied.
@vtwin1 He almost smirks when he says 'Eruption' as if to say 'yeah I can play it in my sleep but I'll do it for this demo'. Van Halen better than Zappa? (either of them) LOL. Even van Halen wouldn't say that.
Dweezil shouldn't have to stand under the shadow of his dad. A major talent in his own right. Hope he continues to take his talent and music as far as it lets him.
He's a nice guy but his playing sucks. Very average and only famous because of his father god rest his soul. Want to see some real guitarists check out Vai, Satriani, Van Halen & Malmsteen
@DaimDibs thats average guitar playing? srsly? sure hes not famous for any original stuff but who cares? he plays franks music almost as good as frank himself, and i for one am glad hes keeping it alive.
anybody watching this video knows who those other guitarists are already...
@DaimDibs Right.. If his talent doesn't mirror those guys' he SUCKS? Little extreme don't you think? I'll take feeling over technicality any day. 'Cause the music is what it's about.
that is really fascinating stuff, but it will kinda spoil guitar playng and experimentin with your own tones and stuff. i mean this is a brilliant breakthrough but it will spoil the excitement of exploring your own guitars boundaries
@Zeppelinguy666 erm why would it? ... its the same as any physical amplifier that has digital hardware there is no reason you cant push the boundries of your guitars tone, infact guitar rig has a ton of stuff you can use that would cost you THOUSANDS to get as hardware. Trust me Ive been using it for months now and its 2nd only to my all valve amp
@GamingLeeLee i do think it is really really cool and stuff, but it kinda gives you these tones on a plate, i find it more fun experimenting and finding the tones for your self. but i do thikn its amazing
@Zeppelinguy666 well it does if you want it to I suppose since if you want a quick sound you can just pick one of the presets but for tone shaping you can actually craft your own tone easily, this isnt just a collection of pre made tones its emulation of real amps and effects and you can craft a unique sound with it just as you could a real amp if you dont use the pre-sets it doesnt do anything for you
Do you even use this program or are you just assuming based on the fact that its software
@Zeppelinguy666 basically if you dont I recommend getting a hardware interface for your guitar and downloading the trial, I had the same ideas about you did till I actually used it and its just as good as any amp (assuming you have a decent pair of hi/fi speakers of course)
@GamingLeeLee ah i see, i thought it was just presets. i had a fender g-dec amp which i found so frustrating becuase that was just presets. but i will give it a go, thanks!
@mullen2105 yessiree-bob, it has a beautiful Pitch-Shifter/Harmonizer...it's got every stompbox that produces legit FX, it models many of the Electro-Harmonix gear (delay, small stone chorus/phase), it now has incredible rack delays, multi-tap delays, compressors, and reverbs, it's not just stompboxes, it's the rack quality gear that makes your guitar sound like platinum !! and the amps will blow your mind as he just dosplayed...they added the HiWatt head/cab n GR4, there's a dead on Comfy Numb!

I think that he would have enjoyed the control, efficiency, and "cheapness" of the new possibilities and if anybody could give these new gadgets a proper test drive it would have been him... I wouldn't be so sure that he would scoff at it once he realized how it could aid him in realizing his vision. "I may be totally wrong but but I'm a...."
@cosmogang That is where you are wrong... Frank Zappa was always on the cutting edge as far as components and instrument and amp circuitry went. Frank would have eaten all of this shit up and created even wilder music than he already had.

It's supposed to sound hot as fuck with piercing harmonics and that tube distortion fuzz on every note. Eddie got his sound on a Peavy 5150 with everything dimed.

@sjonnie1969 I was just thinking the same thing before reading your comment. Mimicking his father's songs and sounds is pretty much taking away the value and integrity that Frank Zappa has contributed to the history of music. I know that sounds harsh...but, Dweezil can and should do his own thang.
it's called Zappa Plays Zappa.. When he's zoned into it, becomes second nature... Have you not seen Zappa Plays Zappa is one of the best live bands of all time. Check it out
dweezel sucks hes a disgrace to frank. he sucks to bad to write his own music so he plays his dads and sells out to guitar rig,a shitty ass digital effects software company. digital effects suck nuts and so does dweezel. and no, hes not "very frankish"
well good for you. Ive been an A1/A2 for the better part of 20 years myself, both in live sound and studios, and dont have the budget for that, which is why Im glad to have my LINE6 stuff. pro sounds, for a fraction the price.

Well...an SG uses a PAF-voiced humbucker and EVH's Frankie did too, so it's not a stretch to get a similar sound from Eruption on an SG.

dweezel sucks hes a disgrace to frank. he sucks to bad to write his own music so he plays his dads and sells out to guitar rig,a shitty ass digital effects software company. digital effects suck nuts and so does dweezel. and no, hes not "very frankish"

@MyAbc1235
I think i'll leave that to FRANK ZAPPA'S SON, you retard.. he knows more about music than you, so your opinion is inreggular.
