@OliMonster92 :) hello, you are right, I could have placed a V8 in the engine bay, however I did decide to fit this engine for two many reasons, 1: is the cost of fuel as this car is going to be a tourer so fuel economy is important, and 2: replacement engine parts are cheap and plentiful. Once this car is completed I will be starting work on a track car, being a single seat rear motorbike engined car.....stay tuned :)
Hi, Another great video , Thanks for making them , I was wondering if you have determined the approximate weight of the car when finished ? I am using all disc brakes with uneven actuator rods to balance the bias (read adjustable). The rear diff came with them , Can't wait to see the next installment , keep up the good work .....
@cpitarre :) thanks for the great comment, the all up weight I aint quite sure about yet, but becauce its much bigger than it should be I thing about 750kg, but then this was always going to be a grand tourer version right from the beginning, your rear brakes should really perfect, very cool. I have added you as friend and will post next video to you soon :) Vrooooommmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@kytnmtn4whlin :) thankyou :) the music for all the three kitcar build videos are from here on youtube and simply using their audio swap feature you uploaded videos...so really not sure...but its a cool groove :)
a great build, only one thing,i am sure those drum brakes are up to the job,but they look awful,i would go for rear discs ,if just for the look ,anyway good luck with it ,cheers
@kevrs2 :) hey thanks for taling a look. discs would be better for looks...totally agree , however I'm not using a bias pedalbox and if I convert to discs at the rear then there is a good chance that the rear will be over braked, which can be pretty dangerous, saying that its worth remembering that the car will only weight about 1/3 of the donner so will be over braked anyway, but with most to the front..which is whats needed. :)
hi, im a student looking for information regarding suppliers of double wishbone suspension, i was wondering if there are any websites you could direct me to so that i could get an idea of the market, its ok if not.
@campsall99 Hello, well there are lots of places to buy fully built wishbone sets, ebay normally has some, tiger racing may sell you some, pretty much all of the manufacturers. Also look at Burton power's website. :) hope this helps
Looks like a great little build, but...
There's more than enough room for a V8 in that!
