Germany in WW2 did show the world it had technology way ahead of anyone else..the first combat jet fighter ME262, Fastest machine gun MG42, first balistic missie to be fired underwater from a uboat submarine..and so forth. Did you notice that the M60 machine gun looks like? M60 was designed after the famous German MG42 machine gun..case and point

Still, the Luftwaffe was able to field theirs in battle first. Speaking of the U.S. being proud of our aircraft.... You betcha. Who's aircraft has the Luftwaffe be flying for the past 50+ years? EVERYONE in the US was conscripted. ALL the young men went to the front. Not just the lower end of society. Otherwise the US army would not have been large enough to beat the Axis. But I agree with the modern age part. Now US army recruitment campaigns aim specifically for the lower classes.

Theycreated the best artillery pieces/war machines of the modern age,the 88mm gun and it's multipurpose nature was truly one of the greatest guns ever made. Almost all of our stuff these days are based on German ideas, if not design. But we still had to kick your ass, you know? You guys, as awesome as you are now, were being kind of a bitch.
