  • "But he's a man??" :D so funny :)

  • And for anyone wondering who he signed in as, that was his actual birth name - Joseph Yule, Jr.

  • The host looked like he was dying of laughter, or otherwise trying really hard not to laugh, lol XD

  • Poor Mickey. The 1950s were tough for him. MGM fired all the old stars and he was forced to go from gig to gig, nothing regular. But he's a trooper.

  • Just after WW2 had ended dad saw him in an English pub near his air base entertaining the clientele. Always an entertainer

  • I love that he signed in with his given name.

  • LOL!

  • Mickey Rooney could do the voice of Droopy the dog.

  • @WWEChampion16 thats the first thing i thought. i love that characters voice lol

  • Thanx for posting this laffest.

RE: Dorothy's question. Yes, Rooney IS an attractive leading man. Daly should keep his legalisms to himself.

Dorothy plays so seriously that when she gets lost, she is even more funny.

Rooney performs brilliantly in both mystery guest appearances I have seen. Gil Fates reported that Rooney wanted a thousand bucks for the right to including one of his clips in "WML at 25." A clip does appear. Did Fates pay? If he did, it was worth it.

  • lmao he sounds like Droopy! haha I love it

  • i love this guy

  • I had to research it, but he really did sign in with his real name

  • The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland!!! :D

  • America's greatest actor.....period.

  • Ah he signed his real name!

  • I love how she askes:

"Are you really a very attractive leading man?"

and the host just kinda leans back and crosses his arms over his chest in a kind of "I'm going to let you answer that one." way

    XD

  • He really was and is tremendously talented, especially at a young age. I just love his films he did with Judy!

  • you wanna dance, hot dog??

  • @weightfeather1 wrong i looked it up he was never married to lana turner sorry

  • One thing I noticed is they weren't ashamed of their given name. Today, you'd never see someone sign using their given name

  • You know, I've never thought of Mickey Rooney as handsome until this video. I think it's because he doesn't look like a boy (like he did in all the Andy Hardy movies) but he isn't old yet either. He's in between. A hot in between.

  • This is the first time I've ever seen Mickey refer to himself by his birth name (Joe Yule, Jr.). I wonder why he didn't sign in as Mickey Rooney. That seems a bit odd to me.

  • The John Wayne episode here please!

  • Mickey is one of the very few where One Person's Name is related to another person i.e Judy Garland, Or Bob Hope's with Bing Crosby's Astaire & Rogers etc. This Show was really a fun Show. I caught a few of them on the GSN on Directv. :) Happy Watching Folks!

  • he kinda sounds like the godfather...but funnier!

  • seriously how couldn't you love this guy........he really is a marvelous talent!!!!

  • Of course he is an attractive leading man. Very cute as a youngster.

  • very much like Droopy Dog, and very funny

  • Happy 89th birthday, Mickey Rooney. ^^

  • What does he say around 1:25? I didn't understand a word of it, lol.

  • Dorothy said ... something ... to Mickey at the end.

  • He sounded a lot like Bill Thompson A.K.A Wallace Wimple or Droopy Dog.

  • I thought he was doing Truman Capote :) but I'm porbably wrong :)

  • That's exactly what I thought!

  • omg soooo funny legend!!!

  • I love Mickey Rooney :)

And i love the fact that he signed in as 'Joe Yule Jr' his real name.

    He is the best!

    :)

  • Mr. Rooney is now 88 years old, and even after all these years is still acting with not one but three movies in the works. What a trouper! God bless him.

  • @SIMPFANN he is rather amazing...in fact, he is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest career on both stage and screen...he started his career when he was just 17 months old and is now 90
