@animalmother4 There are similarities, but chord progressions get repeated in music all the time. This riff is way more on the funk side than the blues side, which is how I'd describe Dave Gilmour's guitar work on those Pink Floyd tracks.
Both are great bands with great guitarists. I'd say they both drew from the same basic sound, but left their own stamp on it.
I saw Arther Brown live at the poole arts centre, i spoke 2 him for a bit and he told me that he is going to be on TFI Friday he is great, so is Kula Shaker, i have a much better quality video, i will put it on utube soon cheers artherbrownmusic
Arthur Brown had a hit with "Fire" in the 1960s, accompanied by his band Crazy World of Arthur Brown. They broke up after one album. Arthur Brown then formed Kingdom Come (not to be confused with the Zep ripoff hair band from the 1980s), and put out three albums - Galactic Zoo Dossier, Kingdom Come, and Journey - which are psychedelic classics and highly influential. Kula Shaker obviously knew about Arthur Brown and had the good taste to invite him on!
