  • haha the girl went out to xD

  • Blink is such a great book!

  • I CANNOT believe that Kenna has still not become big. I'm waiting for the day he hits the world charts and I'll be saying, "I told you so"

  • i am hear because of malcolm gladwell and there is nothing wrong with that because blink is an amazingly fascinating book!

  • dope concept

  • I'm here because of Malcolm Gladwell.

  • @TheGreatPanhandler Me too , but I don't like this music !

  • I like this song better than the rest, cool video. Yes, I'm here because of Malcolm Gladwell too. Can anyone recommend some other cool books to read?

  • @kariinaism1 He wrote the Outliers, and The Tipping Point. These are two really good books by him. Please red these.

  • @gerbilfight Read them already, thanks for the suggestion! =)

  • @gerbilfight I just finished listening to all three of his books on audio: Tipping Point, Outliers, and Blink. All THREE are EXTREMELY fascinating books. I came looking for Mr. Kenna here as a result of the books too!

  • @kariinaism1 correction READ these.

  • meh. Don't know why the producers liked this as much as Gladwell says. It sounds more like pop than hip-hop/rock.

  • YAY!! So Glad Kenna has a Vevo account now!! :D

  • QUESTION!!! why is everyone here because of malcolm gladwell?

  • @bitchface89 He wrote a book called Blink about the decisions people make. There, he analyzed why great music producers adored Kenna, but the general public wasn't recepetive to him. I think he did a better job of promoting Kenna than his 'people' did.

  • I'm here because this song has always reminded me of Depeche Mode "But Not Tonight." Sounds like some melodic/bassline influences floating around here. Just saying.

  • BLINK!

  • haha nice to know allot of people here also reading the book. maybe there are more like minded after all!

  • I can see why none of the market research group liked this song.

  • LIKE if you're here because you are a long time fan of Kenna!!!

  • @missesxedwards yo since like 02...

  • @pSmurf954 all the comments are about a book, pffft. I've loved Kenna for a long time... I songs like Hell Bent and Redman. Never even heard of this book, just Kenna :)

  • @missesxedwards I know. Sunday After You and War In Me are my jamz... I think the book came out like a couple years back, and I haven't heard a bad review yet...But the last time i heard about kenna was Red Sun Sky Blue and him and Lupe Climbing mountains...

  • Malcolm Gladwell - Blink!......Great book

  • love kenna

  • Yeah, i'm from South Africa and totally here because of Malcom Gladwell

  • me too

  • totally here because I read Gladwell's book! Hah!

  • Blink

  • It seems to be that Gladwell`s book has started a Kenna epidemy.

  • Yup I'm here because of the Book Blink also hahaha

  • heard em' play 4 the first time at Live Earth and they blew me away. still do... :)

  • Im still reading the book. I still don't get why his songs got a rating of 0.8, 1 etc out of 4 because he is kinda good

  • This needs wayyyy more views

  • @TheGrimlok why do you feel sorry for people who had to read a book? at least we found out who he was somehow

  • Yep, I went straight to youtube after reading about Kenna in Blink.

  • hahahahha this is so hilarious :D i'm here because of Blink too

  • Ha ha, I'm here because of Blink too! I'd never heard of Kenna before.

  • doesn't matter had sex.

  • I'm wellGlad I came her. WAIT WHAT!

  • his voice is similar to The Cure's except the music has more pop in it...

  • I feel sorry for anyone who had to read a book to discover Kenna. He's been around for so long now, I remember seeing his videos in high school and falling in love with his music.

  • Blinc brought me here too!

  • im only here because of my professor and this fucking book BLINK.

  • Unlike everyone here, I have known of Kenna since the video premiere of Hellbent on MTV2 so many years ago. It is surprising to hear that so many people have heard of him only through the book Blink when I saw his videos, including this one, constantly on MTV2 when I was in high school.

  • @setfiretoflames. Ah yes, back in the days when MTV2 had videos. It seems like this was in pretty heavy rotation along with Pyramid Song back then. Better times!!!

  • @MonkeyCS1025 OMG saaaaaaaaameeee!!!

  • Ive been looking for this video like for ever!!!!!

  • I've never heard of Blink, I just happen to hear Kenna on Toonami and some music channels + radio years ago.

  • I'm totaly here because of Malcolm Gladwell. I had to look this musician up.

  • Just about everyone here, myself included, is here as a result of reading Blink.

  • if you hate it, its cause you dont get it

  • People either really like this song or really hate it haha

I love it. My brother hates it.

  • I dono, I'm not really into music but I just don't really like this song.

  • kenna owes blink big time.

    and this song sucks

  • I blinked and here I was.

  • I "Blinked" here.

  • I think she's the one who did the graffiti. Anybody else pick up on that? Real "BLINK" kind of stuff. I was trying to figure out WHY her shoes were spotted at the end. I checked the bathroom sequence and then decided that it HAD to be the graffiti . . . any other Blink readers thoughts?

  • @jobhunt11 mm I don't think she did the graffiti, I think she was out as well.. if you notice, the club dance floor had similar things to what she has on those shoes.. but that's just me :)

  • I'm reading Blink now . . . LOL!

  • blink brought me here too!!! hahah

but imo, this song is kind of "meh"...

no wonder it wasn't a bigger success

  • Comment removed

  • 15 people haven't read "Blink".

  • Bahahahahahha.

Just read this chapter in Blink, and I've never heard of this guy, so I google it and land here, only to glance at the comments and realize that everyone else is here for the same reason.

  • gladwell's 'blink' made me look this up, but i like 'say goodby to love' quite a bit better than this song.

  • actually it wasn't on mtv2, it was in the background music for cribs..

  • always wanted to know the name of this song!! they used to always play it on mtv2 in the background..

  • lol @ blink

  • Who knew feet could be so expressive...

  • Hahahahaha can't believe everyone else here is reading the book!

  • blink brought me here yo

  • I came here because of blink, never heard of Kenna before but I'm pretty sure most of the people that came here read the book

  • blink!

  • typeracer brought me here!

  • @ChildishMuffin me too hahaha

  • Holy fuck, everyone else is here from Blink too?

  • Lmao, "Blink" is this guys biggest advertisement. Curiosity killed the cat but jived the readers.

  • @urmom8mypie exactly! haha

  • His voice can get kind of...

  • Comment removed

  • Haha, I saw Kenna years ago at a concert when I didn't know who he was. He was better than the headlining act and I always regretted not cheering him on more in that opening set. I'm currently reading Blink and I'm definitely going to re-examine his catalogue.

  • LIKE if you're here because of malcolm gladwell......

  • @arsenalfoxio YOU KNOW IT!

  • @arsenalfoxio lol, Dont think... Blink?

  • @arsenalfoxio yeah really true

  • been listening on and off since 03, and read blink and getting back into his music again

  • Yep. Totally thin-sliced this.

  • Ditto to the Blink references. Not usually my type of music (I prefer 60's, soft rock, country, and claasical), but this IS good, interesting, and different. Record companies should take more risks.

  • Reading Blink. Figured what the what.

  • Definitely not R&B... of course the rock stations didn't like him, he's unique!

  • hes good! thnx to blink

  • checking him out, after reading about him on the book Blink

  • your boy malcom sent me over her

  • Wow wasn't aware this many people listened to blink XD

  • So I heard this song 8 years ago when I was 13 and loved it but never knew who the artist was and have been searching for it since. So I found myself reading Blink by Malcolm Gladwell this morning and well the rest was history! So happy!

  • Comment removed

  • It reminds me of David Byrne. He's different. Interesting, but I can see why it would be hard to find his demographic. Almost club music, then it drops off and on. He's young, probably best that he struggle a bit, find his audience and grow into it, refine it a bit.

  • Kenna Rules!

  • What a sweet bike.

  • @jeffBeane: Remember that this song was written in 2000 and released in 2003... well before the current music sound existed. The album New Sacred Cow was 10 years ahead of the curve. Watch "Chains"

  • Although I loved Blink when I read it, I can understand why this guy isn't all too successful. He tries too hard to be edgy and different. It doesn't come out natural at all.

  • hehe my girlfriends name is kenna!

  • I love this video!! It reminds me of when I was in high school lol. It's awesome as hell!

  • Haha I too discovered Kenna through Gladwell's book. Gladwell is a genius, and his books are amazing, so I knew I would have to check Kenna out. I'm glad I did! Very underrated artist.

  • It is criminal how underrated Kenna is.

  • Found this video from Blink, by Malcolm Gladwell. Fantastic!!!

  • LOL that guy was an ass. But at least she did the same thing!!

  • Does anybody know how I could put this video on my iPod (30GB) for free (preferably on iTunes) ?

  • @SimpletonSerena

Yep theres a big button on your itunes page near the bottom, in big red letters it says GO FUCK YOURSELF! If you like the song contribute to the artist and purchase it

  • @TheClyttCommander fuck you man

  • type in youtube to mp3 on google and go to the third option

  • @ttbonn lol wow thats what I was doing for most of my songs on my ipod.. vidio doesnt work tho , i want the vidio also

  • a real hobo would have taken the shoes too

  • blink is going to single-handedly lift kenna to relevance.

  • I felt really bad reading about Kenna's Dilemma, it made me really really happy however to see that he is becoming more popular, and Thank you Blink, for spreading the word... Kenna is Beast.

  • Malcolm Gladwell is awesome. Kendra... not so much. Sometimes market research is on target.

  • naga stole my bicycle!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • So, what do the shoes she's hiding in the end mean? That she had an adventure too?

  • @Pingvinmus Yup

  • @Pingvinmus It means that she went to the same club and probably got all cozy with another guy lol...what goes around comes around lol.

  • Gotta love visual storytelling :)

  • Was looking up some stuff on Blink and ended up here as well.... Very cool clip!

  • just finished blink... amazing book.

  • Its most definitely his girlfriend.. and this video makes me want to kill myself... :( Not that I will..it just gives me this empty pit feeling in my stomach... makes me think of the bad times when my boyfriend and I did stuff with other people...this song is the shit but it hurts me every time I hear it

  • @toolshed777 Awww...sometimes its just best to put the past in the past and move forward.

  • Haha I'm reading Blink now and wanted to hear this sound they were talking about

  • I've been trying to find this song for the longest. It brings so much nostalgia. Reminds me how much I miss the old times.

  • found this song on a Slim-Jim CD I won at Six-flags.

Was the girl in the beginning the mom or girlfriend or sister? and who is the guy with the red shoes , main character? "What goes around comes around" (homeless man stealing back from him) and

"you don't relize what you got until its gone" (his first girlfriend)

  • The New DJ Jay Battle REMIX to this is sooooooo epic! Gets me so Amp'd up!

  • awesome video.

  • where can i buy album of Kenna?

  • Sex in a grimy club bathroom, eeeewww.

But still a great video, though.

  • @IAmPlaysWithSquirrel I wouldnt minnd....

  • Your shoes do go through so much. haha

  • Great video. The shoes tell the whole story, especially at the very end.

  • @piechart503 I didn't get it, can you explain it to me please, I mean I see that her shoes have some glitter(or whatever that is) on them but I don't understand the message, what did she do?

  • @the4realeddie it means shes he wasnt the only one doing dirt

  • @QAZZZMAN Right I figured it out after watching the clip again. Thanks anyway

  • @the4realeddie no problemo...

  • @the4realeddie it means she did the same thing before that the guy did. I think that she was sympathetic towards the guy because she knew what he feels like , thats why she wanted him back and forgave him so quickly.

  • @SimpletonSerena Also she forgave him because she kinda did the same shit, as in cheating on him.

  • @the4realeddie yeah thats what i mean. Was the girl in the beginning the mom or girlfriend or sister? and who is the guy with the red shoes , main character?

  • @SimpletonSerena Of course the girl at the beginning is the same one that appears at the end, they didn't even change her skirt just to be more intuitive. And the one with red shoes is definitely the main character.

  • @the4realeddie I know the girl in the beginning is the same as the one at the end .. (its all in 1 day why she wore same skirt I think) And I know red converse is main character. But who is the girl in the begginning to red converse guy (like mom, sister , girlfriend?)

  • @SimpletonSerena I am sure it's his girlfriend, I mean at the end they freakin kiss... and this does look like a disfunctional relationship, so I am sure its his girlfriend. It looks pretty typical to me, how come you are not sure of who she represents?

  • @the4realeddie Well it could also be his mother. like a friendly family kiss. she would be mad at her son for not staying home and taking care of her and not getting in trouble.. Yeah but it is probbolally his girlfriend.

  • @SimpletonSerena His mother would be kinda young (she looks young), and also I don't think that his mother would also go to the disco (as a form of revenge I guess)...

  • @the4realeddie yeah maybe.

  • Looked him up 'cause he was featured in an RJD2 song (Games you can win). Kenna did not disappoint. Well worth the lookup.

  • how come these guys arent on tv

  • I love this song whether you like him or not..I found him on my own.. NO book nor T.V..btw He made another album on Star Trak/Interscope called Make Sure They See My Face and I read the book later on..I'm a fan...So spare the comments and just listen to the music...If you don't like the song or the artist..GO somewhere else!!!

  • same here, also because of the Blink, I dont understand what what was the magic for some people, the music is quite annoying

  • 5 people thin-sliced this video

  • @ladybugKaorin Best comment of the year!

  • @ladybugKaorin what does thin sliced mean?

  • @SimpletonSerena

It's a term used in the book "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. Thin-slicing means making a judgement about something in a very short amount of time. Those 7 people who "disliked" this video probably made a quick judgement about it and decided they didn't like it.

But really, read the book. It is SO good. I'm 21 years old and I think it's very interesting. This artist was also brought up in the book, hence the reason why I looked him up :-)

  • @jenchapple89 I read Blink by Malcom Glawell online and it was reallly long. ( ididnt read it all though, just the part about Kenna. Whats its about?

  • @SimpletonSerena download the audio book from a torrent. its pretty cool. i listened to it while going to school and stuff

  • @ladybugKaorin 5 peoples heart beats were above 145

  • @ladybugKaorin I just am only on page 155!

  • just reading the comments....i looked this up too because of malcolm gladwell's Blink. man, I listen to a lot of different music but can't stand this artist.

  • 5 people don't have freetime

  • looking gooood avril hehah

  • u need me time to buy new clothes lol

  • I checked him out too because of Malcolm Gladwells 'Blink'.

  • The only song i like by kenna
