  • 3eb is cool...message is cool....

    song blows

  • I love this band but the song is subpar. I'm also pretty sure these guys are part of the 1%.

  • i cant stop listening to this song, its so damn catchy and i love it so much!

  • Im seeing them tonight in charleston!

  • This is why you don't involve controversial politics in music, it alienates those who are against it and does nothing for anyone. The song is garbage, the people arguing in the comments are garbage and if the next album is a bunch of whiny political shit this band is going to lose alot of fans. Myself included

  • What happened to my favorite band....

  • i think they do a good job becoming more modern while still having that old sound

  • Surprised to see all the hate, I actually like this song! Inspirational words!

  • This is an absoluty terrible song. And I'm a huge 3eb fan. It reminds me of non-dairy creamer, and idk if a bigger insult can be made to a song than that. I hope the new album doesn't have garbage like this...

  • am i the only one who actually quite likes it?

  • disappointed. This song sucks they shouldn't support these lazy hippies.

  • this guitar solo is such an obvious ripoff of dani california's solo ahahah

  • @Schwigglesworth Aside from the fact that it doesn't suck, right?

  • no one gives a shit about veterans until something happens at their protest, then they use it to help their cause, freakin hippies

  • @lilcoco0313 dumb slut

  • fuc# occupy!

  • @TheRstock87 occupy fucked you first, fag

  • Stupid ass Stephan Jenkins! I hope he realizes that the occupy wall street people are protesting the rich , I bet Stephan's bank account contains at least 6 zeros !

  • @johnclintonlopez ah, u need to do more research. i'd be surprised if his bank account holds even more than 100,00 dollars. They don't have any money, bro. Label has money, not them. Do some research.

  • @crystalballer7983 100,00 dollars? What a weird number. I think you need to do some research on elementary math.

  • @MalachiteR ??? LOL If you think that's an actual number and not a typo, perhaps YOU should research some basic elementary math. You're a tool, dude. Seriously. A tool. Stick to the subject, which, obviously, you have nothing to contribute to, so you post dumb comments critiquing ppl's typos (typing errors). Which makes you a tool. Back to topic...

  • @crystalballer7983 If you can't understand sarcasm when you see it, maybe you should take some classes in basic social skills.

But then again you're probably just stupid. I'd go with that one.

  • @MalachiteR I agree with your latter sentiment: i do think you'd go with stupid. I think you and stupid go together quite well, actually.

In regards to your latest comment, it still has nothing to do with the content of this video. Your childish squabbling is appropriate rhetoric for a private message, not the comments section. Grow up please.

If you wish to continue squabbling, send me a message. Otherwise, post something constructive in regards to the video. Thank you.

  • @crystalballer7983 It's funny how you go from using things like "u" to forming complete grammatical paragraphs, in a vain attempt to make yourself sound smart/mature.

Though, it failed. You're still an idiot, and you're still raging over some sarcastic post on a youtube video.

    rage more buddy.

  • Comment removed

  • @crystalballer7983 LOL now you're using the whole "I'M SO MUCH OLDER THAN YOU" crybaby shit.

Textbook whining of a 12 year old if you ask me, kiddo.

  • @johnclintonlopez you're an idiot

  • Not Stephen's greatest effort (I say Stephen, not 3EB b/c he fired everyone from the original band) and the more policital he gets, the less I like him and his music. Dislike!

  • i love LOVE LOVE 3eb. but this....this is bad. not a good song at all. and no im not hating on occupy or anything like that. i just think this sucks compared to their other hits.

  • where are the youth we need you now!! <3 #THIRDeyeBLIND

  • This song sucks...

  • your mental... its the only explanation

  • what about that crook steve jenkens? holding 100% of the shares of 3eb and forcing kevin cadogan out of the band... causing the downward spiral of what used to be an amazing band

  • this song is good and all but get back to writing that album. much more important to me at this point

  • this is a good song for a horrible situation

  • Great piece!! I'm an old guy and this is very good.

  • First... I love every single song 3EB has ever done... even the weird shit, the old demo shit, the and stupid politically motivated liberal dumb shit.... BUT THIS FUCKING SUCKS. These OWS assholes should go back to occupying their mother's basements, eating hot pockets, and playing World of Warcraft.

I agree with sHART1780... great band but as retarded as they get when it comes to politics. What moron actually believes WALL STREET greed has caused the mess we're in? Really? REALLY? Stooopid.

  • @Ceeeeez you mad bro?

  • @TheSpillerr OWS is a bunch of crap.

  • @Ceeeeez Man, look it up. The fact that you're unaware of the connection Wall Street has to the financial crisis just shows how uneducated Americans are.

  • @chetjlfour The fact that you believe the bullshit that the politicians have fed you that WALL STREET caused the whole crisis is proof you're an imbecile. You're fucking brainwashed. Your leaders forced the banks to make home loans to people with no possibility of ever paying them. Banks who resisted were told to get in line or the Justice Department would be sent after them for discrimination. They had to make the loans. Period. Yet somehow this is all Wall Street's fault? Whatever.

  • @Ceeeeez Now we're defending multi-millionaire and billionaire banksters over regular people. THAT'S rich. YOU'RE brainwashed you tool of the 1% who took advantage the elderly on SS with these damn toxic mortagages too and anyone they could prey on. SHUT UP!!!

  • @NotaDino1 I'm not defending BANKS over regular people you asshole. I'm saying the banks didn't cause the crisis all on their own as your College professors and the media would have you believe. Banks taking advantage of the fuckin ELDERLY on toxic mortgages isn't what caused this mess... its people with no verifiable income, no job, and no means of paying being given "no doc" loans. The standards to lend were forcibly loosened. This didn't prey on the eldery who already HAD loans.

  • @NotaDino1 The fucking elderly already had their loans. They're also smarter, wiser, and know not to take out a loan they can't pay. Working people and families were the losers. The dream of owning a home was dangled out there and then yanked back. But it wasn't all the banks' fault. Read something other than a liberal rag newpaper or the idiotic Huffington Post. Listen to real news outlets instead of getting your information from Jon Stewart. Fucking morons.

  • @NotaDino1 And regardless... this fucking song blows horse dick. And I am a 3EB fan. I lvoe everything they've ever done... but this is complete shit. Stephan should stop trying to be political. He doesn't have the brains for it.

  • @Ceeeeez sorry to say, but you are simply misinformed. the fair market act by all means did not force any bank to give loans. Deregulations mande it easyer for the banks to create toxic loans. Of course they're gonna use the fair maket act as a scapegoat. but not everyone has bought that bs. Look at the entire planet, everyone is comming out, this is much bigger than you. look up the act. look up bank regulations. do yourself a favor; get properlly informed.

  • @gerri577 No the Fair Market act didn't force them... threats from the administration did. Dems wanted everyone to have a house... no matter what. When the problem with Fannie and Freddie was exposed... reforms were blocked. Not blocked by the fucking 1%... blocked by the Democrats. I know you'd like to blame it all one the rich... but it ain't the fucking rich, its class warfare being pushed by one specific party and their handlers and puppet masters (unions, etc).

  • @Ceeeeez Dude... you're an abject moron. Save your breath with the whole "look it up, get informed" STFU! I have already read ... more than you have. I guaran-goddamned-tee it. I've been intimately involved in the industry and I've got a degree in Economics. You do not know what you're talking about. You've gotten your faulty information and twisted logic from places like the HuffPo and Politico and whatever tree-hugger, one-world, Ron Paul, lunatic fringe ass clown press you read.

  • @Ceeeeez PLUS THE SONG SUCKS!

  • this song sucks

  • @gcash666 i literally was typing this reply verbatim when i saw yours beneath it

  • this is one of their worst songs...

  • Third Eye Blind is a great band but they're politically retarded.

  • I listen to this now and get a little sad because if you go down to Zucotti now... well, yeah. *sigh* =/

  • FINALLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY. Cant wiat for the album 3ebtid

  • Great, now can we get a new album?

  • @fender512 hey, its okay, its better than them selling out to sound completely different then what they normally do.

  • @fender512 puuuuuuuuhhhhhlease!!!!??!!!?!!!! sugar on top ;)

  • OAKLAND standing tall and proud!!! West coast port shut down December 12th!!!

  • playerdepimp... Come back in a year and tell us how much we didn't change... : ) Oh, and go back and read your history books. You might wanna start with Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr.

  • no one cares about the occupy movement. yes its great to protest for your "rights" but when was the last time an group of people got what they wanted out of a protest? cival rights movement! you see.. you Occupiers aren't going to win. Go Home And Leave the Streets. get a fucking job too.

  • @playerdepimp A lot of them DO have jobs. Stop listening the our crappy "media" and get independent media sources that tell you what ours WON'T. Better yet, meet Occupiers or will that be too much for you since the truth will set you free from your hate?

  • @NotaDino1 well stop whining and win dude, you guys got this

  • EPIC SONG!!

  • so far OWS has had third eye blind, kanye west, lupe fiasco, neutral milk hotel, lou reed, and jay z all come out to support the movement. i'm probably missing more and not to mention all of the celebrities including mark ruffalo, bill maher, etc etc etc. the mainstream media isn't covering this yet you'll hear about how kim kardashian is wearing a new swim suit or jennifer lopez is out with her new beau. bullshit, eh?

  • @markuskentwood LOL, you fail to realize that the vast majority of Americans can't stand the main stream media and we don't give a crap what these poser celebrities think, either. Take a bath, get a job, make a difference, and maybe you'll get some people who matter to listen to you. Camping in the park and crying isn't going to get you anywhere.

  • @sndudley you're a moron.

  • @sndudley True, but the bottom 20% is dragging down the rest of the country, and that 20% doesn't know any better than to listen to the mainstream media.

  • Hey webgenie or wutever, I'm not from the "right" and I never said that Marxism was bad; the profits gained were earned just as much by the workers as the entrepreneurs so they should get a share; btw my political views are modern liberalism in terms of economics and general conservatism in terms of moral affairs

  • Magicness

  • Start was epic. and they mixing with the screams and the shouts

  • As a point of fact sir....American workers salaries have been flat for 30 yrs. Meanwhile those at the top are taking more more and more...there is no end to their greed. There is NOTHING benevolent about corporations....they exist ONLY to create wealth for the few. They WILL keep expecting more and more for less and less pay....until you have sharecropping like my Grandparents....or what you have in China. China is the greatest Capitalist system the world knows now! just a few own all the wealth

  • Question is.....which one do YOU buy? Are you an American or citizen of China? Do you think that Americans should live on what they pay workers in China? Do you think Americans should work for 36 hours straight and live in a cube in the factory making pennies per hour? Do you want to live in a country where corporations get away with putting things like Melamine in the food? Because sir....THAT is what you are comparing the American worker to....If I were you...I would buy American.

  • Rightwingers really do live in a world without grey areas don't they? No one said anything about Marxism. Do you know when we had the greatest Middle Class the top tax rate was 91%? Today the 1% who do pay taxes pay Capital Gains taxes of only 15%.....meanwhile people just in the bottom of the middle class $48k - $65k are paying Payroll taxes of 30%! Tax the !%....eliminate the Capital Gains exemption with deductions for hiring Americans and buying US goods. Then build high speed rail!

  • So isnt everyone just arguing for marxism: the profits derived from products go into hands of workers not into the owners of the capital and doing what they please what they want with those profits

  • Unions ARE people not Corporations...Wealth seeks slave labor...if it doesnt get it....it destroys your economy! I am a daughter of a Sharecropper....THATS what unregulated market will do! Money in people's hands creates movement in the economy. The wealthy save money...thus removing it FROM the economy. Do you want to live like they do in China, India, or Mexico? Cause that is the only way to "compete" on your standard. Are YOU ready to live on a dollar a day?

  • i can't stand all these comments from people who think 3eb "should" or "shouldn't" have done x, y, z.... if you think you know better, why don't you just join a band and prove it?

  • Ignoring the whole 'occupy' thing, the song is pretty catchy, has a nice guitar solo (needs to be longer) but it reminds me of 'Non-Dairy Creamer' and 'I Want You' a bit. Hopefully the new album will have more rock elements than this

  • The first six seconds give me chills every single time.

  • Jenkins is probably going to regret having written this platitude-heavy "anthem" in five years time.

  • There was a hint of this song's taste in Ursa Major. I respect that Stephan has a say in the movement, but the message doesn't bring me home to the heart of the matter somehow. Perhaps I don't expect him to sing politics, just life I general. Meanwhile can't wait for a full album. Let's wait and see folks.

  • Decent song, but why the hell are they supporting the protestors?! That's retarded Third Eye Blind!

  • Dear god, I love 3eb but this is fucking terrible. It's SO CHEESY. Ugh, this band has fallen so much from the days of their prime.

  • @GaiaPhoenix ursa major was still good but songs like this and non diary creamer lower their integrity

  • Stephen Jenkins took time off from taking time off to write this song. I'm sure his 4 albums in 18 years has left him real crunched for time...

  • well this be on the new album

  • end the federal reserve

  • Comment removed

  • Lets get to the heart of the matter in the Wall Street movement.. Greed... Look inside your heart and realize that you cant change how Wall Street runs because you cant change the human heart...The Bible says, "Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain." This nation has turned its back on God, and thus must suffer the consequences..

  • wow, pretty much lost all respect for 3eb. not that any of their recent stuff has been any good. i've seen them play twice and i think i'll remember them that way, not by this song

  • @3DON291 it's a great song

  • @Zac6230 its a terrible song. are you kidding?

  • @3DON291 You gotta remember, the only original members left are Jenkins and Hargreaves. After Fredianelli left and Salazar was denied access back in the group, Stephan really can't write amazing songs like the old days.

  • Wall street suck this video

  • Finally, someone with balls to write and record something, anything about this movement. Bono, Sting and the rest are too busy sucking at the tit of corporate America and crooked politicians. To hell with all of them. I name those two specifically because they're from my old ass generation. I'm a baby boomer, but "our" musicians have seriously dropped the ball.

  • @yogini34 what about Devo who is doing this album.

  • @yogini34, too bad they didn't pick a movement that was worthy instead of being a bunch of lazy entitled college brats who don't understand what it means to work for a living and think they should be able to go disrespect a city park, hold out their hand and say "Gimmie" and the world should comply. But someone of your age should know better. What a shame. Nothing is owed to you or any of these spoiled, clueless children. NOTHING!!

  • @hsapley Keep watching Fox. You don't know anything about the Occupiers except what our corporate owned, operated and controlled canned media FEEDS you. Try meeting who they are for a change and you'll find out they come from all walks of life and have JOBS TOO. Wake up!!

  • @hsapley plz don't tell me that u truly believe that this GLOBAL movement is nothing but college kids! god, where have u been this past few months? the world is changing, go with it!

  • by far not their best material but still its good to see someone stand up and make a statement about what is going on in our nation rather than just ignoring it. Come on rage against the machine just one song, one tweet, that's all we need.

  • Like their last album, this doesn't hold a candle to their old music.

  • great song-- would love to see the quality sound with the video it deserves -- and with lyrics. does it exist?

would also be great to see and hear more occu-creations that highlight the power of courage + non-violence

  • Every time I get chills in the beginning when the guy says "Shit" and yells... Chills.

  • room for lots of songs-- for all kinds of moods-- this is going to be a long walk,

we need all the music we can get to keep spirits up and keep courage (nonviolent courage, the hardest kind)

a lot of great songs of all kinds are bubbling up (from the famous and the unknown-- check out michael ayers I am the 99% among dozens of others)

  • I'm torn. I appreciate what the song is for, but it's so... clean and tame. Not only is it unlike Third Eye Blind, but even the peaceful "What's Goin' On?" had an underlying sense of urgency to it.

I laud SJ's songwriting ability, but this is not his best. No brutal honesty or grit, not even intricate thought-provoking metaphors. They say it's a simple song. And they're right. Simple, as in, "didn't require much effort."

  • even if you don't support OWS, this song has a great tune and beat :D

  • Some vid and pics of the OCW etc would be good boring screen someone will chuck the boogie bopper kool song into some Vid..

  • @TheAnonymouse01 True, try run (the occupy movement endures)

  • Yah! Great stuff.

  • Still love the band... Don't love the song

  • @PRScust22 heard that

  • how are they capitalizing on OWS? It's a free song... They're just writing to spread their ideals, like anyone is allowed to do.

  • Precisely what we needed. The masses will love it, and we need to reach them.

  • Cool song!

    Another one here:

"The Banker" by The Blue Plates (Old guys don't like what's going on either)

    youtube.com/watch?v=1CfXy3mkTeI

  • @YosupMofo I'd like to see YOU do something to make the world a better place. Sure, some small businesses are hurting, but more will be hurting later if these issues don't get resolved.

  • I'm active with OWS and i think this is GREAT. This isn't the kind of music i listen to, but it's awesome to hear artists speaking out on behalf of the disenfranchised. Especially established artists who DON'T need this to make money, they're already doing quite well for themselves.

We can't shut down every attempt that's made to support or relate to the movement. We need musicians from all genres to create art that's relevant to the times. Let's WELCOME rap, rock, dance, etc that supports OWS!

  • @horrordoner This is not helping the economy, it is hurting it. The small businesses in Oakland are being very negatively affected because of these Occupy People, and it hurts real people. What's going on in real working stiffs like me and most people are getting very tired of this endless mess Occupy People are causing. Everybody gets it, you're unhappy with things in the world. Well its about time to stop the destruction and the disrupting of OUR LIVES. You're improving nothing! Go home.

  • @YosupMofo I too am a real working stiff, working 60hrs a week and i'm glad i have that opportunity. When the economy was tanked in 2008 by reckless and greedy behavior of Wall Street & Big Banks, suddenly i couldn't work (even though that's what makes me happiest). There is a disruption of day to day life happening right now for tens of millions of people due to the actions of these bankers and mega-corporations. The sacrifices we make now to stop them will allow us & our kids to have a future.

  • @horrordoner And I'm glad you have a job. What most of these young people don't fully understand: Economics 101.People bought houses at too high a price (caused by 'house flipping' real-estate speculation) which sold people the idea THEIR house would DOUBLE in value every 5 years! The rest of the economy is tanking because the USA doesn't MANUFACTURE & EXPORT as it did when the US was The Envy of the World. People always buy the cheapest they can, and business has to be BROUGHT BACK HERE!

  • @YosupMofo Civil Rights didn't improve anything immediately either. It actually disrupted the lives of white people everywhere. How are these people disrupting 'your' lives? And don't speak for the world. If Occupy is growing, how can most people be tired of it? Just because you don't like what they are protesting for doesn't mean it is irrelevant to the world.

  • @BassXRocker Protesting "Wall Street" and "Big Corporations" is sadly simplistic and ineffective. An understanding of Economics 101 would help. From the 1940's to 70s, the US was the Envy of the World! We used to MANUFACTURE AND EXPORT. This is what makes a nation wealthy. Not borrowing from China to buy Chinese Made Products! Occupy Washington& the White House, demanding they make America the most attractive place to set up shop, so WE can get back on top! Obamanomics chases business away.

  • @YosupMofo

We also were heavily UNIONIZED in those days.....sorry dude but Unions and protesting built the greatest Middle Class the world has ever known

  • @webgenie01 Unions and Protesting manufactures nothing. People and their tools&materials do. Middle class didn't happen because of protesting&unions. People protest in Africa all the time& still poor. Capital investment in plants&equipment are needed to make anything. And when it costs more to make it here than elsewhere, we'd better figure out why that is & do something to remedy that. Regulations are chasing capital out of the US. China gets it all. Demand A Great US Business Climate FIrst!

  • @YosupMofo slavery and sharecropping manufactured too! Those were people and their tools. Regulations doesn't chase them out....greed does...the never ending search for cheaper and cheaper labor....Henry Ford once said, “There is one rule for the industrialist and that is: Make the best quality of goods possible at the lowest cost possible, paying the highest wages possible.” Unless of course you really do want to work 36 hour shifts and live in a cube at the plant like the Chinese do!

  • @webgenie01 I went to the paint supply company to buy a 100psi air compressor. There were three different ones of this specification. The first one I looked at was $399.95. The second one had wheels on it as well, and cost $389.95. The third one had wheels on it as well, and cost $529.95. It was made in the USA. The less expensive ones were made in China. Which one would you buy?

  • @YosupMofo Excuse me but the MIDDLE CLASS DID happen because of protesting and unions or we'd all still be working in sweatshops with children working as little "slaver labourers" to you MORONIC fool or has the labour Movement been written out of all the text books where YOU went to school. Thanks to the breaking up of most of our unions and "right to work for nothing states" this trend is coming back as we become a nation of Wal-Mart employees, service & food packers for beans.

  • Dude .....UNIONS were involved in those manufacturing plants in those days. Union members fought and died in some cases....for things like 40 hour work weeks.....safe working conditions....living wages....vacations...insurance. Unions built the greatest Middle Class the world has ever known! In those days you are talking about ....Union participation in this country was 25%....today....only 5% are Union members. Do you get that Americans had money to spend for "Economics 101" because of Unions.

  • @horrordoner Cool. Try run (the occupy movement endures). East Coast view from the Zuccotti.

  • the heart's in the right place could use some more anger

  • it's ok, but what's up with the guitar solo ripping off John Frusciante's Dani California? (which was ripping off Hendrix of course)

  • brilliant!!!

  • In 1967, Sonny Bono (of Cher fame) released "Riot On The Sunset Strip" which was a few guitar riffs interspaced with recordings of teenagers violently getting arrested in Hollywood for no particular reason. But I would hesitate to say that Third Eye Blind is following in Sonny Bono's footsteps.....

  • Let's be honest...............virtually their entire self-titled debut, most of "Blue" and at least half (even arguably most) of "Out Of The Vein" and "Ursa Major" would pin this track in a headlock. A "Wounded" or "Motorcycle Drive-By" this single ain't. Not even close.

  • Sorry, but this is just below-par by Jenkins's standards. If this song is representative of what the Occupy effort is all about, then it is just a string of soaring platitudes and rehashed sticker slogans. And for the record, I have an unequivocal loathing of Faux News and its affiliates, so you can count me as a forward-thinking American who nonetheless also feels the Occupy Wall Street, as much as their hearts are in the right place, is largely just all power with little purpose, a cliche.

  • these guys fucking blow. i miss tony/kevin/arion.

  • The opening 5 seconds are of Scott Olsen getting shot in the head. There is video. Go find it and witness...

  • thanks 3eb!

  • Two things. First, Jenkins releasing a song supporting OWS, considering he has built his life on stealing credits and fucking over every talented artist who has ever been a part of 3eb, is sickening. Second, the biggest disappointment with 3eb is that Jenkins has squandered this bands potential through his actions. It isn't out of the question to say that if the Cadogan/Salazar line up had stayed together then we'd be mentioning 3eb with the Foo and RHCP as the last great rock bands of our time.

  • Most of these idiots commenting against OWS haven't a fucking clue in their hollow heads as to what's going on. Fox News is their bible, and they believe everything Socialist is evil when they don't even realize the roads they drive on are built through Socialist means. Fucking retards lol.

  • I can't stand the Occupy ________ protesters, but this song is good. I'm a big Third Eye Blind fan and they always seem to be into stuff like this, so it's not a surprise. And I hate when I hear "I didn't even know they were still around..." type things; check out "Ursa Major" and "Out Of The Vein", along with "Blue" if you were just a one-minute fan with their debut...

  • Socialist plans are not bad...Socialism now that's another story....This song isn't half bad. Occupy Wall Street isn't about asking the wealthy for hand outs it's about asking the world to acknowledge that there is a huge unbalance in how the wealth is distributed.

  • It's very poppy. I've never been a fan of TEB, but R.E.M is broken up and Pearl Jam are on vacation, so what can ya do?

  • I'm sorry but for the people saying this song sucks or this is a way to capitalize on the OWS movement can shove their comments up their ass. This is ten fold better than the shitty music our new generation has to listen to. No auto tune, no generated beats, just good music with a message!

  • @agnady08 This song is a free MP3 download on the band's Facebook page.

  • @agnady08 Nah, it just sucks.

  • @agnady08 as a loyal and dedicated fan of 3eb, i can honestly say that this is the worst thing they have ever done

  • This so fucking bad. Oh my god, this is cringe-worthy. It sounds like it was mixed by a 12 year old in garageband. How ironic that their singing about the OWS movement while their trying to capatalize it with this shitty song.

  • I'm waiting for Rage Against the Machine

  • @MABXYZ118042 OWS is putting together a fund-raising CD and Tom Morello has cut a track for it!

  • It's your move, Matchbox 20.

  • @OneLickLess christ you must be old school like me, well MB20 are in the studio

  • @dbailey0220 Are you wealthy, or are you brainwashed by the right wing media?
