The problem with Brawl is that it's so slow, it loses the hardcore aspect of Melee. But I'm sure Brawl will become very competitive someday, in some other way (maybe not about combos and speed, but strategy and defence).

i agree that faster doesn't mean better. But DSW is not only technical and fast now, he also has good DI and better combos than PC with falco. I really don't know who's gonna win between them now if both play using only falco.
And btw PC beat Ken's marth so no he doesn't get raped by marths. He only gets beat by M2k/Azen's marths, but both of these players are just overall better than him.

byakuya32, PC didn't switch because he lost to DSW in regional crews during FCD, he switched because his fox does so much better vs m2k, and m2k was the only person consistently.

I said that there's a reason y PC switched to fox b/c his falco just can't beat some of the better pros out there anymore (ex. M2k, Azen, and Mango etc). While PC does place higher than Shiz still, he does so using fox not falco.
What are you talking about? PC reached 3rd best in Power Rankings with his Falco in like 2006. I agree with you that DaShizWiz is very good but he's more flashy than Smart. PC is one of the smarter Falco players and despite how he doesn't play Falco as much (if at all)plus Fox is just a better matchup vs alot of characters rather than Falco.

if you mean the wavedash, sometimes they do it to taunt, sometimes to evade, sometimes to confuse the opponent. its a pretty good technique but i dont think itll be in brawl
ohhh i see, but how does it help evade moves cause i usually just see them do that when someone just died and i guess they use it for more of a taunt. also i noticed that falco does a quick jump whenever he is shooting, is that just a good way of travelling and makes the shooting go faster?
so the dashing back and forth is dashdancing? then what is wavedashing? and arent all these dashes just for high mobility or to just move in a more safer way then just walking or running directly?
I don think most of these "best" players know that people like ken and PC know each other's metagames. They cant go too aggressive cuz the other will know how to combat such. They got to mix up their gameplay and take it "slow" if you know what i mean.
And for those who think you are so great. Unless you played against these guys or ppl like them, you are still a scrub.
Know each other's metagames? I don't know about that... Smash has always been a game of tag. Provoke the other guy to attack by getting in close, make the other guy whiff, dodge the attack, and punish.
Well you basically look for the lag in rolls and spot the tecs is mostly where its at actually but yes if people spam smashes than abuse them on it but Pros usually bait with weaker attacks such as the Gentleman and Marth's tipping.

I've been playing tournament level smash brothers since the game came out (recently retired till SSBB), and I've played with Ken and got 3 stocked 2 times (on 4 stock). I've never played PC Chris but his lvl of play is just as good as Ken's is. I can't believe you think you can beat them. HAHAHAHAHA!

ps doesnt play falco anymore, sadly. dashizwhiz is probably the best falco, if there is one. though I don't know if he plays melee or brawl now though

DaShizWiz is not best Falco, best Falco in Florida, but not best. PC plays Fox now but he goes Falco sometimes and his still rapes DaShizWiz.

i agree that faster doesn't mean better. But DSW is not only technical and fast now, he also has good DI and better combos than PC with falco. I really don't know who's gonna win between them now if both play using only falco.
And btw PC beat Ken's marth so no he doesn't get raped by marths. He only gets beat by M2k/Azen's marths, but both of these players are just overall better than him.

yeah. I didn't mean to bash PC Chris's falco i just disagree that he has the best falco currently. He IS overall a better player than DSW but not necessarily a better falco player.

byakuya32, PC didn't switch because he lost to DSW in regional crews during FCD, he switched because his fox does so much better vs m2k, and m2k was the only person consistently.
This whole event was so hard for ken. The constant racial slurs and stuff in the background and nobody behind him was hard. He was in the enemy territory after all.

lol i know. it's just that i don't think PC's falco is better than Dashizwiz's current falco. I said that there's a reason y PC switched to fox b/c his falco just can't beat some of the better pros out there anymore (ex. M2k, Azen, and Mango etc). While PC does place higher than Shiz still, he does so using fox not falco.

What are you talking about? PC reached 3rd best in Power Rankings with his Falco in like 2006. I agree with you that DaShizWiz is very good but he's more flashy than Smart. PC is one of the smarter Falco players and despite how he doesn't play Falco as much (if at all)plus Fox is just a better matchup vs alot of characters rather than Falco.

with shiz placing so high nowadays and pc having not mained falco for years its hard to say who is better. youre right it probably is shiz. but youre wrong about pc switching to fox because his falco was incompetent. pc switched to fox because thats his preferred starting character in most matchups. his falco peach sheik marth falcon etc are all on par with his fox and he uses all of his characters in tournament.

i agree with you. But after watching his fox i'd say it's alot more technical than his falco. And yes with fox being a character with better match ups it's a good decision to switch to it.

NEVER is an understatement, he uses the move but it seems he doesn't want to risk a miss due to the lag and even if it hit it wont do much damage or knockback so ye, but he does use it

if you mean the wavedash, sometimes they do it to taunt, sometimes to evade, sometimes to confuse the opponent. its a pretty good technique but i dont think itll be in brawl

ohhh i see, but how does it help evade moves cause i usually just see them do that when someone just died and i guess they use it for more of a taunt. also i noticed that falco does a quick jump whenever he is shooting, is that just a good way of travelling and makes the shooting go faster?

You jump and shoot because there's no lag at the end. Moving around with it makes it really easy to follow up and use lasers in combos.

That dash is called Dashdancing. It's used to fake people out and keep a high mobility, mostly for chaining grabs or pivot attacks.
Wavedashing is different it is more subtle, used for different reasons.

I don think most of these "best" players know that people like ken and PC know each other's metagames. They cant go too aggressive cuz the other will know how to combat such. They got to mix up their gameplay and take it "slow" if you know what i mean.
And for those who think you are so great. Unless you played against these guys or ppl like them, you are still a scrub.

Know each other's metagames? I don't know about that... Smash has always been a game of tag. Provoke the other guy to attack by getting in close, make the other guy whiff, dodge the attack, and punish.

Well you basically look for the lag in rolls and spot the tecs is mostly where its at actually but yes if people spam smashes than abuse them on it but Pros usually bait with weaker attacks such as the Gentleman and Marth's tipping.

I've been playing tournament level smash brothers since the game came out (recently retired till SSBB), and I've played with Ken and got 3 stocked 2 times (on 4 stock). I've never played PC Chris but his lvl of play is just as good as Ken's is. I can't believe you think you can beat them. HAHAHAHAHA!
