Great acting. I especially like the scene when Cate and Dame Judi fighting each other almost in the end of the film. It looks so realistic to me that it made me worried whether Dame Judi got hurt or not, considering her age. But it's still...awesome!

This was an awesome film, just saw it on Sky Cinema. Really great movie, now I'm going to try the book.

p.s. the Steven character is hot in a charming mini-Romeo kind of way. Cate is gorge. Dame Judi is mesmerisingly psychotic. The family was well played. Just great cast!

This film is so well imagined. The actors are all so talented that you really care about the characters they portray. That's becoming rare in modern film making. How old is that actor who played the boy, anyway? Jesus what a face on that kid. He looks a little like a satyr. The casting of this film was basically spot on. The film turned a potboiler novel into a plasma blowtorch, particularly the lead actors.
