@TDubDaboss Alot of reasons. one was about him wanting to start over and i think he even go lice while he was in Jamaica with another def jam group (think cnn) to make an album.
Datdizznigga!! Put up that bladow! From vistas anarchy album I can't find it on YouTube n I want to listen to it!! It's got some bangging bass!! Let me know what's good! Topek1!
I didn't Public Enemy's "Shut 'Em Down (Pete Rock Remix)" until like 3 years ago and for the longest time couldn't figure out HOW IN THE HELL this was a cover of that song.
This dope, but P.E. + Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth (because CL appears on the remix) is too dope.
Yeah, it's a great homage to the MC who gave him his rap name. I really enjoyed the "Genesis" album, and wore out my friend's copy. It was cool how the chorus from the title track(so damningly infectious) was put at the end here. He rode this beat to a level that may have put a smile on Chuck D's face. Bus-A-Bus has talent for days, and it's still marvelous to see him shine even some 15 years(and some change) after we heard him first hit a mic with Leaders of the New School.
Although I know many will disagree, the original shut em down remix with Chuck d always sounded off to me. this version has a better sounding version of that beat and busta fits perfectly. I think this one is better. Quite possibly my favorite Pete Rock beat. Its too good. Those drums drive me insane whenever I hear em. They sound so chunky and dirty. It's just perfect.
BUSTa WILL ALWAYS STAY TOP 10 EVEN IF THE NEW GAMERS FORGOT HIM ,, I STILL REMEMBER HOW I USED TO BREAK DANCE IN MTL HOODS ON THIS BEAT TO GET MONEY AT THE CORNER!!!
It is nice homage too, especially considering that Chuck D gave Busta Rhymes his name. He really did the beat justice. "Genesis" was a heck of an album.
i love the singing at the end
