I think what's happening here is that he's internally pronouncing certain training words that correspond to letters. As far as I know, that's what NASA did to control a web browser. Nonetheless, this looks like a truly invaluable technology that could make a huge difference in the lives of many.
I wonder if this would help my daughter Sarah? She had a stroke last year and has aphasia, sometimes the thoughts are in her head but she can't express them verbally.
THIS is the next-step in Earth-humanity's evolution. Tecnological Telepathy. Followed by biological and cybernetic telepathy. A whole new world. In a telepathic society, secrets and lies, war and crime become IMPOSSIBLE. Not the end of the world in 2012. Just the end of the OLD world, when human beings were isolated inside their own bodies and minds. We shall truly become "all-connected".
Yes, and we as biological and spiritual beings, we are advancing with our technology. It is indeed an exciting time to be alive, and thinking, on this planet. In space.
this is real, i promise you. mike is my cousin, if you don't believe me, fine. but i have pictures of us together at family gatherings, that you can see if you really want. but besides this he has also talked to people about doing video games with it & of course with cell phone companies and people with disabilities. this technology has come a long way, before it could only read 'yes' and 'no'
This isnt sound wave amplification. It is the same thing they use in sports to watch muscule activity without the user acctually moving. It picks up the neural electrical signal that is too small to cause the sound, but is still the same signal that would cause the sound if it were amplified by the body. This is an amazing technology, because it will allow selective interaction as well as information gattering at a level not seen before. This is close to something that nintendo is doing.
It does not interpret your thoughts, and it does not read your mind (experiments are taking place on animals though). This sounds nothing more than a humming/vibration detector that picks up your throat vibration in combination with an ultra low humming sound waves. Then it probably amplifies these sounds to a level that can be picked up by a regular speech synthesizer, same thing as the throat microphone...not to mention you have to wear it as a collar.
